I like crazy cat lady swarmkeeper. Using Druidic Warrior, your melee weapon is a broom(shillelagh) and for range you throw rocks(magic stone) and of course your swarm is just a herd of cats.
I’ve played a Hunter, also I definitely was a Colossus Slayer, and that was a lot of fun. She was a dual wielder, and the spells I chose were both utility and damage dealing. It was a blast. I’ve always wanted to come back to Ranger, which I would choose Gloomstalker.
We like the idea of keeping magic only for spellcasters. So we have a magic-free ranger in our Monsters of the Wilderness book. And we made a Monster Hunter ranger in our Underworld book.
Yeah, ranger and rogue have great synergy with each other! Sprinkle in a couple levels of fighter to action surge in round one and you get the extra attack from GS twice 😉
I played a ranger once. At level 1…😂 I have been eyeing the Fey Wanderer though. Just seems like it’d be a ton of fun. Dave has a really cool build for a Horizon Walker though.

So many people don't like Hunter and it confuses us greatly! I think you'll really like playing a Gloom Stalker!

I've seen Gloomstalker multiclassed with rouge...damage can get absolutely insane.

The Fey Wanderer has a lot of very fun fey features!! Especially using Misty Step and bringing someone with you 🤯

I would have gone with Gloom Stalker, Fey Wanderer, and Drake Warden as the 3 best. Hunter and Swarm Keeper are pretty good, tho.
Very solid choices and both have great fantasy / flavor too!
