Thanks so much man, definitely won’t be the last time!

Your channel is gold, and your playing too 🔥
Dylan - the channel is really coming into its own - it's great!!! I am getting a lot from this and just started playing more acoustic slide - welcome more videos here on technique on acoustic vs. electric. Are you posting tabs anywhere? Much thanks and Happy New Year!!!
So good. Thanks Dylan!
Great video man, ive been playing slide on an acoustic for years but waiting on my tricone national being built 😊
Another great video. Hey man really really blown away by your artistry on that Rhett jam. Fantastic.
Thanks so much man 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Great video Dylan. During lockdown I ordered a Jim Dandy and a Rockslides glass and aerial Posen slide. I gave up 😢 This gives me a spark again, I do love the delta Blues. Thank you.
Great lesson Dylan! You are an amazing guitarist and excellent instructor. Thank you!🤙🏽😁
Many thanks for all your efforts. Best wishes.
This is a very helpful video!
this was great thanks
I just subscribed because of your AWESOME playing on Rhett Shull’s Great Gig In The Sky video.
You are an amazing player, looking forward to exploring your video offerings. Thanks!
Thank you so much!! 🙏🏻
Awesome lesson. Would love to hear a whole lesson on Blind Willie Johnson. You are a great teacher!
Thanks!
Ah man, thank you so much for the tip!! Much appreciated!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Great video as usual. “You gotta move” is really only “Come on in my kitchen” by Robert Johnson with new words.
You could say that about thousands of songs of course.
sweet lesson, a pdf would be good to see the fretting positions. thanks
I’m still learning to finger pick instead of using a traditional pick. Is it necessary to finger pick for slide guitar?
Thank you for the video. Play a lot of acoustic slide in upside down style. For me it makes a big difference to use a thicker string on the highest string. I use 16 or 15 and the rest is a normal 13 set. But with the 16 I have a louder clearer sound. Especially because I play it with my thumb. At least for my ear the strings gauge on the highest string makes a big difference. What do you think about it?
If it works for you it works for you! I’d personally never use a 16 if I was tuning any higher than C standard/Open C, but as long as it’s not damaging your guitar then go for it!
@@dylanadamsguitarthanks for the quick answer. I use it with open D and it’s only one string which is that thick. Guitar is fine until now, I guess 😅
Hey Dylan you were jamming on Rhett Shulls channel with the ancient Sitka recently. Can you tell me what song you were playing?
The one that starts with the little walkdown thing? “Willin’” by Little Feat!
Can I use the acoustic guitar to study slide in general? Cus I don't know why I can't sound good on the electric guitar. It seems there's a tone mistake, or even a wrong slide material that makes it sound horrible, but I'll accept that it's my playing skills that make me sound like garbage on the electric guitar lol.
You can use any guitar you’d like, although there has to be something going on technique-wise if your tone sounds good normally without slide and all of a sudden sounds bad with it. Or you could be using a slide that’s too thin/light, but it’s hard to say. If you ever decide to take a private lesson with me then we can certainly work on finding and fixing the issue!
@@dylanadamsguitar I really appreciate your attention, I will try to change my slide to a thicker one. Unfortunately, as a Brazilian, everything is too expensive for me to try a lesson, but thank you. Keep making more videos, you are one of my main references as a slide guitar player.
I'm in , my slide playing sucks , I need some help.....subd ya , sounds great bro
Hey man, we all have to start somewhere and everyone sounds like a dying cat on slide at first haha. Thanks for watching and subscribing!
Is the Gretsch the G9200?
That’s the one!
Going get me one of those gretsch
