    Great video Dylan. During lockdown I ordered a Jim Dandy and a Rockslides glass and aerial Posen slide. I gave up 😢 This gives me a spark again, I do love the delta Blues. Thank you.

    Great video as usual. “You gotta move” is really only “Come on in my kitchen” by Robert Johnson with new words.

    I’m still learning to finger pick instead of using a traditional pick. Is it necessary to finger pick for slide guitar?

    Thank you for the video. Play a lot of acoustic slide in upside down style. For me it makes a big difference to use a thicker string on the highest string. I use 16 or 15 and the rest is a normal 13 set. But with the 16 I have a louder clearer sound. Especially because I play it with my thumb. At least for my ear the strings gauge on the highest string makes a big difference. What do you think about it?

    • @dylanadamsguitar
      @dylanadamsguitar  5 месяцев назад

      If it works for you it works for you! I’d personally never use a 16 if I was tuning any higher than C standard/Open C, but as long as it’s not damaging your guitar then go for it!

      @@dylanadamsguitarthanks for the quick answer. I use it with open D and it’s only one string which is that thick. Guitar is fine until now, I guess 😅

    Can I use the acoustic guitar to study slide in general? Cus I don't know why I can't sound good on the electric guitar. It seems there's a tone mistake, or even a wrong slide material that makes it sound horrible, but I'll accept that it's my playing skills that make me sound like garbage on the electric guitar lol.

    • @dylanadamsguitar
      @dylanadamsguitar  5 месяцев назад +2

      You can use any guitar you’d like, although there has to be something going on technique-wise if your tone sounds good normally without slide and all of a sudden sounds bad with it. Or you could be using a slide that’s too thin/light, but it’s hard to say. If you ever decide to take a private lesson with me then we can certainly work on finding and fixing the issue!

      @@dylanadamsguitar I really appreciate your attention, I will try to change my slide to a thicker one. Unfortunately, as a Brazilian, everything is too expensive for me to try a lesson, but thank you. Keep making more videos, you are one of my main references as a slide guitar player.
