I remember seeing Tyler when he was a teenager starting out on a news report. He was impressive. I created his Wikipedia entry because I knew he was going to have a long career. It is great to see him doing so well. I hope he has a long success career playing classic American music along with his originals. It gives me joy to know he, along with others, will keep it a living music for the next generation. Muddy Waters and those great Chicago players and Delta players deserve never to fade from civilization. Robert Johnson should live forever!

Barely old enough to legally buy alcohol here (if even), definitely not old enough to buy liquor in the US. And being thrust onto stages where 90% of the audience were other guitarists and one of the biggest legends of the instrument hanging out at the side of the stage all eagerly listening to every note he played... no pressure. I like the way Tyler talks about learning melodies. The play it fretted tip is so sensible.
The idea of starting the process with good intonation and then sliding in and sliding out here and there to add some personality is spot on.
Upgrading the pre-amp he was using with his Mule guitar would be a big help to this video. The distortion of that pre-amp was an irritating distraction from his music which made it hard to focus on what he was demonstrating.
I hope Tyler can make a go of it as a musician. He clearly has the talent to eek out a living if wants to.
His lets put together a demo approach was a superb; it showed how one needs a solid and basic foundation as an under pinning to build a good final product. Too many music instruction videos ignore the basics and seem to assume that the audience understands the underlying basics.

The way the camera man asked his thought process as a beginner is exactly what i wonder when im stuck and tyler just opened my eyes how to overcome some of these obstacles. The tip to sit and figure out how to be a sort of drummer seems so obvious but it never crossed my mind. Thanks guys!

Johnny Winter is the reason I picked up a guitar & taught myself . . . . Tyler is about the closest re-incarnation to JDW playing that I have heard . . . . it's really nice that the younger players still carry on the traditional styles of the great ones who most have sadly passed . . . All the best & stay well . . .

Tyler Bryant and his band are incredible! I got to see them live by circumstance. I went to see Sevendust, and they opened. I am a huge Sevendust fan, but walked away that night blown away by Tyler and his band. I honestly thought they were the best band that night. I have bought all their CDs, and look forward to getting to see them again live!

I've never heard of Tyler Bryant until today, I was scrolling through YT algorithm vids on a Justin Johnson video, but maaaan oh MAN! I proper dig this guy's slide playing!
I can't play for toffee, wish I could which is why I love all these sorts of vids, and Blues Slide on a Dobro is one of my top guitar sounds and styles to listen to... I'm playing it to my 2yr old boy when it's his night feed before bed... It sends him right off very quickly! I've now subbed to your channel for some more cool sounds. I'm going to see if Tyler has a YT channel too.... Thanks for this track lay down. I'd DL it just to listen to it every day!

It could have very well looked like that back then as well. When you are used to making money and things go down hill in a hurry and you look around and think damn all this work and I'm going to lose it all for nothing you can control. I'm 50 and starting over with almost nothing again for the 4th or 5th time in life.

Amazing how you guys just threw that together. Everytime I listen to the final cut, my head gets to bobbin and my feet get to jumping around and then I start to flapping my arms around like a headless chicken. My wife says it's the craziest thing she's ever seen. I don't care...it's what moves me and I'm in charge of how I get my groove on. So, that being said, I'm inclined to listen again and do some more flapping...Crank It Up!

Now, seeing Rhett show up at their house to jam is just the ultimate treat. Rhett, you definitely need to do something with Rebecca and Megan, too! Great to see these young ones carrying forward the soul of the blues.
