Thanks so much I'm 12 and I'm fixing one because my sister took it out
No clips ? Very poor video . Clips are the main part
LIFEHACK: Use a pizza cutter instead of a spline tool
I did same way but after I was done saw middle of the frame both sides bent inwards making space on one side I redid leaving screen free n loose same thing please advise
Thank you...Extremely informative and helpful. ...Here's to me repairing 5 screen windows for my 82 year old mother who just survived and BEAT the Corona virus. ..AGAIN , THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP AND ILLUSTRATION..
don't buy a cheap spline tool !
Not that there's anything wrong with that!
But what if the whole screen is off?
Didn't have a spline tool but a spoon worked just fine. Fit into the groove so I knew it would push the spline into place. Worked like a charm without ripping the screen.
As stated in the video, very important to make sure you don't over tighten the screen and warp the frame which may cause unwanted gaps when installed into the window. Easy DIY project.
Wow, super easy. FYI I picked up a roll of screen at my local ACE Hdwe for $8.99. It's enough to do 4 of my little screens w leftover. I used a tire patch tool roller and it worked great. Thanks Ace!
Very informative and detailed. THANK YOU for posting.
Today is my lucky day. I watched one video to help me remove the screen from the window, and your video to refresh my memory on how to properly replace the screen . Hi from Connecticut, and many thanks for your great how-to video!
Great DIY video! I had trouble getting my old, crumbling, brittle spline out, but ran the stanley knife down the outside of it and used a mini flathead screwdriver and mallet to wedge it underneath and pop out the spline. Once it got going it was very easy!
Straight to the point & very helpful! Thank you! 🤩
Looks simple! I'm going to try it!
Wow, Ace really is the helpful place
Thank you, that gave me confidence. I paid $40.00 per screen last year to have a couple of screens replaced . I think I can do this myself.
I did it! Thanks for the great video!
Thanks Lou. Also a WGN fan.
