Love my tour response stripes. Don't mind the stripe pointing somewhere else on the fairway. Like that they don't get mistaken for someone else's ball. Like the feel on the green and the lining up. Rolling 'end over end' when struck from the middle. Like the orange ones for searching in the rough. But what is quite the best happy coincidence (?!) is that the stripe width matches exactly with the alignment aid width on my Mezz1Max. I guess the TP5 version simply had to be black & white because the folks using them generally don't like funky colors.
i would totally play a tp5 with a coloured stripe, i mostly play white balls and these look quite nice but i find the colours to be a fun change aswell
@@Xzartolthis is TaylorMades tour ball. No chance they put a colored stripe on it. There is no one on tour that plays a colored ball. It would be fantastic for the amateur that plays this premium ball but I doubt they ever do it

just too expensive...stripes cost almost nothing for them to put on lower cost balls but they hold us hostage to buying the more expensive balls with this design
Just taking a moment away from the ball review. What an incredible sign seeing that red balloon. Your dad is looking over you thinking what an incredible lad
James I've been golfing for a long time but having the alignment line to align the clubface sideways the way you did is pure gold I just tried it at the trackman simulator absolute gold like I know it sounds silly but I never thought to align the text name that way to help with that into out path absolute gold😂 thanks as always love your Channel love your tips and I love your traveling the World episodes . Thanks🎉
It is interesting that you say you thought the TP5/TP5x performed differently in hot weather. I had been enjoying TP5x for quite a while before taking a trip to Thailand in April (hot season). I bought a new dozen of the Easter limited edition balls for the trip.Throughout that trip I found that I couldn't get TP5x to launch and it felt like a rock. At the time, I thought I had purchased a bad batch or that TM had used balls that failed quality control for their special editions. I switched to Tour Response Stripe and everything about my game improved. Have been using the Stripe ever since. Wouldn't mind it if TM brought out a Tour Soft Stripe, though, as my swing speed is only 75 -80 mph depending on the club
I have a buddy that plays golf 3 to 4 days a week. He always carries a ball retriever. I bought 4 of the Tour Response Stripes from him. Condition: Mint! I gave him $1 for each. Played the dark Blue Stripe 18 holes Sunday.
I use the tour response, gone to the all white as they stopped the yellow and i found the stripes harder to see for some reason. Loved the seed balls but can get the tour response vat same or cheaper in deals and not having to buy five dozen at a time.
Taylor Made is now my favorite brand. I have the latest Burner mini driver and love it! I would try this ball, but I have gotten attached to the Kirkland Signature. The TP5 is very good however.
I like the feedback on the Tour response stripe but you are right the paint comes off when using them which is disappointing, I can’t warrant paying the extra for the TP5 though 🤔😁😜
Look great, but for the average golfer... a lot of our swing speeds will never reach the speed necessary to really get the full benefit of the TP5 off the driver, and its unlikely due to the layers unlikely to stop as fast as other balls for the average golfer. Great alignment tool though and the ball does look good.
Personally, my putting is better with no lines at all. I find lines or marks on the ball distract me. My current putting average is 28 to 32 putts per round so happier without stripes. Not for everyone but works for me.
100% agree! Don’t people mark their golf balls? Just mark it by the stamped ball description and you will still see if your ball goes end over end! But stripped balls drive me crazy all over the course. Same problem with colored balls. How many tour pros play with green or yellow golf balls?
Been using the Tour Response Align balls since they came out. I've tried the TP5 and TP5x, the Tour Response just seems to work better for my game (or lack thereof .. LOL). Glad they finally moved it up to the TP5. I wonder if they're getting rid of the Pix balls altogether as a result!
They did a limited edition with this clear stripe (but red chevron outer stripes)- the Oracle Red Bull Racing collab. If they could do these in buy 3, get one free I’d be tempted.
Great video. I am getting better and I think I may benefit from switching up to a premium ball. I currently play the speedsoft from Taylormade and I would love for you to do a comparison of the TP5 vs the Speedsoft and see how much benefit there really is.
Bought the recent variety pack so looking forward to see how different balls respond putting, chipping and pitching. Mid handicapper. Been a TMM player last 8 years with M2 driver and SLDR irones. Could be in the market for new clubs but have not been impressed with new clubs tried last 2 years. Not much if any improvement to justify the cost.
The ball thing is something I’ve never really considered. Tried 5 balls this week on the putting green, some feel good, some less so & some awful. Ball condition, not knowing its history mattered not before now. This is something I’m no longer overlooking.
Those can be a bit deceiving since the line does not mean it is a balanced ball. You would need to float them in Epsom Salt like Bryson. Out of 2 dozen - only 3 were balanced on the line.
A friend of mine gave me 500 TP5 balls from a PGA tour event he worked. I'm not good enough to really know the difference between them but I like playing with them. Plus they were free.
For me the Tour Response is terrible feeling. Conversely, the TP5x feels amazing. Looking forward to this. And let's be honest, there are a lot of balls at different price points. There is something for everyone. But for a premium ball, you're going to pay more. It's always been that way and will continue to be I guess.
They are both fine balls. The ProV 1 is still the superior ball for better than average player. I could NEVER play the TaylorMade with those obnoxious stripes on it. It might be good for putting, but if it's not lined up in the fairway it would drive me crazy. Just another TM marketing ploy. Too bad you are falling into their trap.
The stripes aren’t my cup of tea. For me half the pleasure is the balls journey, not just the destination. The lines off oscillating makes the ball run during putting look wrong. On the other side of the coin, my scorecard was slightly better when I used one. Chance or coincidence?
Give it a month and there will be a multitude of lost TP5's in every area of rough on every course in the land, so I'll try them then, but I'm still using the Kirkland and or the Caiton balls, other than those I use the Callaway super soft, they are a fantastic ball for half the price of the new TP5's. But going back to my original point, the average recreational weekend golfer lose balls way to often to be spending 50 sheets on them. Wake up people, don't get sucked into the latest gimmick stripy ball, your money is better spent on lessons that will improve your game.!! 😊
Expensive golf ball good idea but not worth the price. I will stick with the vice pro drip or the new snell 3.0. At $22-$25 a dozen cheaper my golf game won’t change with the extra cost of thetp5. I am only a 11.3 hcp
That is the best stripe, the tour response yellow stripe suck IMO, if a ball is sitting down in the rough, It makes appear far more fried egg lie than it actually is…who wants to see less of the ball??
In my conversations with the guy I know at a large retailer, in 2024, the ProVs are selling well... but the TMs, Srixons, etc. are not doing as well as in the past. I think the pricing of balls has gotten so ridiculous that the DTC brands like Vice, Snell, kirkland etc. are picking up some of that business. Vice Pro's/Pro softs cost $33/dozen (in 5s) and that's a big enough gap that I can't justify spending $55. And part of it is knowing how little it costs to actually MAKE each golf ball. A staggering amount of markup is added for advertising and tour player support.
Started using the Taylormade Speed Soft recently and love the price, distance, durability and low spin being the amateur/hobby golfer that I am.

I am currently a fan of the Callaway Chrome Tour Triple Trak. However, I really do like the way that TP5 looks.

Been using the Tour Response and the Srixon divide for the last few months and I'm now officially addicted to big alignment aids on the ball.
Great tip on the spine/shaft angle. Top video again!
I've been loving the TM Tour Response Stripe! I do like the less bright option on the TP5

Just been on there website to see how much they are and was going to order some but definitely not at £68 a dozen 😮
They are £49.99 on pretty much every website!! Not even Pro-V1s are £68 😂😂
£45 in Pro Shops.
I sent TM an email when the stripes first came out asking for exactly this. TP 5 with outline but no color. So TM at least owe me a free dozen.
I really like the tour stripe orange. It's the best of both worlds for me.
Long overdue, and I like the spine angle idea

These are by some way the best reviews of golf equipment on youtube.
and by the way those balls look amazing and they're great around the green. Shame if I'd pump about 15 quid a round in to the woods/deep rough
My question is.
When will we get the all white alignment aid, in the tour response?
Great question lol
