Your enthusiasm for these shows me that you were a true turtle head as a child, it was literally akin to a little kid bringing in his favorite action figures for show and tell day in elementary school. The way you constantly refer to them as "Mikey" "Leo" "Raph" and "Don" really hit that feeling home, it was like you were holding something in your hands that you had always wanted or evoked a personal feeling of nostalgia that fellow fans completely understand. I know we have the 3/4 scale and I also know that they are AMAZING figures but Neca just has a way of delivering stuff that we thought we weren't going to be able to own and seeing these in hand is a real treat. Exactly. I hope the reboot goes full classic. I want these same suits not CGI, I hope they make these suits and make them look more realistic I mean its 2018 I am sure they can do something about it. And use little CGI to adjust the suits to look real. And I hope they turn their elbow pads and knee pads the same color as their bandana. God do I wanna see April from the 1989 cartoon on the big screen. Judging by how comic accurate James Wan the director of Aquaman is.. I hope he could make the movie.
@@RealMikeLitoris no one will want to wear those suits again. They were heavy, uncomfortable, too hot to wear. The actors lost weight because of that. They look awesome and always will but we may never see those suits again.
1:46 I’m pretty sure that the turtles are supposed to be in the 7” scale and measure 6.5” because they’re actually shorter than the average human. I remember even 5’ 7” Judith Hoag (April) having some height over all of them-

You would think there would be some way for NECA to show Nickelodeon or Playmates or whoever how big the demand is for these and allow them to only sell them through their site or every few months, something. The fact that this is what collectors want and the current major license holder doesn't seem interested in doing anything is frustrating.

I have wondered why they didn't still use cloth fabric for the bandanas and ribbon fabric for the back of the bandolier strap of the Donatello figure's belt to hold the bo staff just like they did to the 1/4 scale figures. How hard could it have been?

I am torn on if I will display mine. At 5k made, these should shoot up in price going forward. I got lucky on 3rd day to land a pre order. I have heard people say that they couldn't make more due to contract. That sucks if so. Everyone that wanted one should of been able to get one.
If thats true, putting a limit on how many they can make is messed up. I could see if if Nick or Playmates was doing some of their own but they aren't even touching the original movie stuff. Even if it came down to NECA being able to do the movie stuff and Nick the cartoons, I'd be happy with that.

Nice things is NECA released the 2019 set through GameStop either in a bundle or separately. They won't come with the same package or the pizza but will have all the weapon accessories. Sure beats paying a bundled on this set. They say they'll ship-out 2-6-19 (though that can change) So pre-order while you can. Glad I seen this video so I knew what to expect. Thanks!

Just received mine in the mail and the paint looks absolutely terrible. Yellow paint over the mouths of all 4 turtles. Green paint overlapping onto there eye balls. Michaelangelo's eyes are so separated, looks like he smoked the worlds largest joint. Would really like to know how to get something similar to this set. 👍

Originally I wanted these but after seeing a couple of reviews including yours I realized that the limited posing is a deal breaker for me. Great representations of the movies but I guess I'll wait until they hopefully make the IDW versions one day.
In the movie they were 5 ft 5 inches. So in the 1/10 scale of being 6.6 inches that's pretty accurate since in 1/10 scale an 7 inch figure equals to an 6 ft person.

I'm not that big of a turtle fan really. Out of around 3000 pieces in my collection, i have maybe only 20 tmnt figures. These are just good figures.
I hope Neca makes a Vanilla Ice figure to go with it.

They can't do the suits anymore. Jim Henson passed away years ago plus the actors couldn't breathe in them.

yeah. they just couldnt do it at the smaller scale and the bo is meant to just go under the belt.
