Seeing these new 1990 figures next to the Playmates versions was jarring. I still love a ton of Playmates' offerings from the past 30 years (wow I'm old), but that comparison certainly highlighted why adult collectors need NECA in the game.
I never noticed before that Raph’s sais are just made out of up-cycled rebar. Also, way to go NECA for capturing the unique mask sculpts the Henson team did. I’ve always loved the care that went into each turtle having a totally different face, not just a different bandanna.
I actually adore the TMNT 90's films (the two first ones) and I was sad I wouldn't be able to get this bad boys but they're releasing at GameStop SO THANK YOU NECA. COWABONGA!!!!!
I got these for my birthday last month and love the hell out of these and the extras like the mutagen canister make this an amazing set. Easily the best birthday gift ever.
12:03 man, it really is amazing, cant believe a few years a go we all where like "those are incredible, these are the best portrayal of the movie tmnt." Looking at them side by side make's you realice how bad they really where.
Took me 3 days of trying, but I'm happy to say I finally was able to get myself a set. Two days in a row I was in process of checking out. And in the time it took them to load shipping prices, they were gone.
I managed to score a diorama set today. Got my confirmation E-mail and checked back to see everything was gone. looks like I lucked out. Neca said they more than doubled production of this years exclusives compared to last year (5000 + 2000 diorama sets = 7000 compared to last years 3000). But it certainly doesn't feel like there's double the amount out there. They're selling out in the same amount of timeframe (about 1 to 3 minutes). Are the scalpers out in force on this one? Did they only make more to be able to sell to BBTS later on? Or will they make more sets available on the last pre-sale day to give everyone a fair chance to get these figures?

so I ordered the 1/4 turtles just a week or so ago and am really looking forward to getting them. And today Gamestop added the ability to preorder these SDCC figures as seperate figures, so not in the cool box. But wow... that size comparison. I will be getting them all and I am just not able to wrap my head around just how big these are. I have no idea where I am going to put them.
i got them individually which the con is that you dont get all the same accessories however the pros are definitely the looks and articulation. love these figures and i am also trying to get the big mikey figure since thats my favorite.

They did so well at making the figures and box look just like the VHS version that it took me a few minutes to discover that most of the box’s photos are of the figures themselves and aren’t from movie glams! lol The only one that is from the movie is the back, one all the rest are of the figures!
I tried for 2 days to get just the turtles set with no luck. Today I decided to go for the diorama set and got lucky enough to get it. It was sold out in less then a minute everyday. I wanted to try to go after the Diorama set today and was lucky enough to get one in the first 40 seconds. Not happy about spending the extra 125 for the cardboard but I’m happy I got something for sure. Most people didn’t get anything. I actually wanted to get two figures sets, one for me to open and display and the other set for a buddy who was trying but I knew y only chance was to try and get one diorama set.

Having these be SDCC exclusives are infuriating! I want these figures but I don’t have the room for the quarter scale ones by neca and now that they release a small set it’s an exclusive at a SDCC where anything that has that magic little SDCC sticker on sky rockets in price.
It seems these were released almost identically by two different companies? Anyone know if it’s still possible to order these guys, plus film Shredder and a couple Foot 🦶?

Imma be honest, I know a lot of people aren't really fans of those designs, but I really wish someone would make 7 Inch scale figures based off of the Micheal Bay turtles. I know Lots of people hate that depiction, but I think those designs would be so fun to have in action figure form.

Good luck because I went to their site and I was at the checkout screen and got rejected. I looked at the clock and one minute had passed since you were allowed to go online to the neca website and buy them and they were already sold out! All 5000 of them we're gone!
As a huge TMNT fan, the ooze canister is a actually not movie accurate. In the shows it says TCRI which is what the set comes with. In the film, it is labeled TGRI. Just a little fact about the set.
Hey pixel Dan do you know if anything could be done if one of the figurines mask is (Mikey specifically) is kind of defective... One side of his nose the mask is risen showing somewhat of a gap and the other side of nose the mask is drooped and it's not symmetrical at all.

The front of raphs shell had scratches too, only inaccuracy I see, other than that, these are amazing
