Hello RUclips, you have to give this guy an award. He gives us the best coverage of Bromo's well.
In 1983 I had been to Mount Bromo before it erupted in that year. At that time the bottom of the crater was not covered, it was still in the form of a rock that was slightly smoldering, the edge of the crater could still be descended, although it was very dangerous to slip down. This video, apparently made after it was active erupted in 2015/2016. Mount Bromo first erupted in 1767. Until now it has more than 60 times erupted. Waktu itu dasar kawahnya tidak bersumur, masih berupa cadas yang sedikit membara, pinggiran kawah masih bisa dituruni, meskipun sangat berbahaya bisa terpeleset jatuh. Video ini, tampaknya dibuat setelah aktif meletus tahun 2015/2016. Gunung Bromo pertama kali meletus tahun 1767. Sampai sekarang telah lebih dari 60 kali meletus. Majestic Bromo crater at sun rise. It will always be one the the most awe inspiring views I have witnessed. Visited there back in 2006. Walked the perimeter of Mr Bromo, but really wanted to climb that rugged neighbouring volcano but never did. Nice fly over there gave me a glimpse of it's summit. Fantastic footage. Drones really are amazing lil things to capture such amazing natural spectacles & beauty.
This video is outstanding! Congratulations! Aside of bringing us such spectacular views of Bromo you took a high risk by sending the dji Mavic Pro so deep in the crater. Very well done! 👍👏👏

So many amazing angles and details which would have been impossible without the drone. Takes a lot of courage to do this even when you're not physically inside the crater. Superb piloting.

Mount Bromo is located in East Java Indonesia, about 1.5 hours from the city of Malang by using a hardtop car to the top.

This is incredible! When I went to Bromo in 2011, you couldn't go into the caldera onto the cinder cones for red hot rocks were shooting out intermittently making it too dangerous for people. We hiked up the outer rim super early in the morning in the dark for a sunrise panoramic view of the entire caldera before riding in a van to Ijen volcano. At least we now know it's a water cooled volcano!
It's got a river flowing through which is probably the ground water table though these dynamics would always be changing where fire dominates more times than other. When I was there, it was more fiery and people weren't allowed in the caldera on the ridge where this video was shot.
Great job on all aspects ;flying ,videography, editing, music. Went to Bromo in November, it was awesome! Good to see whats happening in Bromo's throat. Also nice to see the top of Bromo's sister.

Volcanos are man made piles of rock that smoke and make small explosions
It may be called vulcanization but sulfur only burn at 200F, so how that melt surrounding rock?

It's hard to see with all the water vapour, but am I right in thinking it's pumping out muddy water from the vent? It's the first time I've seen film footage this deep inside Bromo's crater- What footage I have, has concentrated more on the local people's ritual of casting offerings of fruit, vegetables and living chickens into the crater as sacrifice to the god of the volcano. It's a testament to Bromo's character that the chickens survive this and can make a life for themselves feeding off the fruit and veg... until some tenacious, intrepid and desperate person goes into the crater to catch them, that is!

Excellent video! I have a drone video of the volcano but I didn’t dare go so close to the inside of the crater! Somehow the mavic air didn’t have strong transmission when I fly it above the crater. Good job on your video!

I remain in awe of your spectacular photography; and only wish I were sufficiently young and fit to join your expeditions. Have you thought about going to La Reunion, to photograph PITON DE LA FOURNAISE by drone? From the car-park on the summit it is not possible to see the active crater, Dolomieu, because the higher one, Bory, is in the way. Often in eruption, FOURNAISE could provide a great opportunity for active lava flows. From my memory, I'm sure Bromo was the volcano within Tengger Caldera where sulphur was mined. From the looks of it here, it must have had a recent major eruption; because it does not look as though sulphur will be mined from here again in our lifetimes.
Thanks for the kind words, Mark. Bromo is indeed in the Tengger Caldera, though the sulphur mining happens further east at Ijen. Would love to go to Reunion some day!
@@hshdude Of course it was Ijen! Many thanks for the correction. In my retirement years I have been visiting as many active volcanoes as possible; and have ticked off all the 'Italians', with Fuji, Sakurajima, and Fournaise for good measure. Unfortunately Hawaii is out-of-bounds for an older man with a 'criminal' record (for returning with dirty cartoon comix!) from years ago; since President Bush stopped us being able to visit the USA with a 'criminal' record, after 09/11.

It was definitely quite the adrenaline rush! The drone came out fine but a little dirty from all the mud droplets thrown up into the air down there.
