Thank you for visiting Bali Indonesia.
Little information, did you know that in Bali there are 26 volcanoes. Not only that, they even have different historical characteristics this is real because many foreign tourists don't know about this volcanoes in Bali. Most of them know that in Bali there are only 2 or 4 volcanoes which actually have 26 volcanoes in Bali.
List of Volcanoes in Bali Indonesia.
    1). Agung = 3.142m
2). Abang = 2.152m (My favorit in Bali).
    3). Adeng = 1.826m

    25). Silang Jana = 1.903m
    26). Ancient Bratan = ? (Exploded).
Volcanoes in Indonesia are included in the biological mother of Indonesia. If the total number of volcanoes in Indonesia is more than 570 - 600 with different characteristics (on land + in the underwater sea). I hope you have a pleasant trip and have an extraordinary experience while in Indonesia because too many strange places.
Visit one of the volcanoes (Mother biological Indonesia) at least 1 or 2 times, because it is different in all conditions or routes and you can also see other volcanoes than the one you are currently climbing. As well as having different histories regarding of eruptions that have occurred. But be carefull and this real.
Other information : Even near Bali there is the island of Lombok which has 27 volcanoes. List of volcanoes in Lombok :
1). Rinjani = 3.726m (My favorit in Lombok).
    2). Senkereang = 2.919m
3). Tanaklatur = 2.664m (My favorit in Lombok).
    4). Plawangan = 2.612m
5). Barujari = 2.351m (My favorit in Lombok).
    6). Atas Timuk = 2.238m
    7). Nangi = 2.330m
    8). Malang = 2.251m
    9). Propok = 2.077m
10). Kanji = 2.045m (My favorit in Lombok).
    11). Iyasa = 2.029m
    12). Buanmangge = 1.916m
    13). Seribu = 1.910m
    14). Andas = 1.893m
    15). Marungmerimis = 1.892m
16). Baliyuk = 1.732m (My favorit in Lombok).
    17). Pergasingan = 1.670m
    18). Bukitbau = 1.668m
    19). Turunanjalan = 1.626m
    20). Ketimun = 1.602m
21). Sengkor = 1.490m (My favorit in Lombok).
    22). Mundung = 1.440m
    23). Meninting = 1.418m
24). Bau = 1.336m (My favorit in Lombok).
25). Selong = 1.200m (My favorit in Lombok).
    26). Mesjidborok = 1.272m
    27). Muteran = 1.083m
So, imagine just Bali + Lombok = 2 island in Indonesia but have 53 Volcanoes.
Basically the territory of Indonesia is the volcano itself which forms a curved basin if one looks at it from the global maps. That is the real 100% biological mother of Indonesia = Volcanoes.
(One above all / Volcanism of Indonesia)
    Good video and stay healthy.

Your comment gave me a chuckle. I'm Indonesian, I live on another island 2.500 km away from this particular volcanic mountain. Our own island also has active volcanic mountains, 19 of it with the closest one just shy of 20KM from where I live. I've been to some of our volcanic mountains even witnessed an eruption once. I went to Anak Karakatou sometime last year and just several months later it erupted lol. But what I hate the most here is the earthquakes. Be it vulcanic or tectonic it scares me every time. vollxx4 Hmmmpf, it is Indonesia, they probably have five different volcanos erupting at any given time. Great for vulcanologists, not so hot for the residents. The featured eruption is kind of different. It does not seem to be erupting much in the way of new material, it just seems like the incandescent gasses are just reworking existing ash or tephra. The vent gets blocked and then clears, but without enough explosive force to really launch the large blocks and open a pit crater. It is so wonderful to have such advanced digital cameras that can record things that film could never capture, and then digitally shared around the globe in minutes or hours.

What is the distance from your point to the eruption place? Did you stay there the whole time, or just the camera? :)

Gracias por compartir estas bellísimas imágenes del poder de estas explosiones volcánicas. Un trabajo de video buenísimo y estremecedor el sonido o mejor dicho, el rugido que produce este volcán :-)

What type of camera do you use to record this video? It looks very clear despite of nighttime darkness

Do you have an estimate of the dimensions of the "light grey ash" area the surrounding the "vent"? In camera it looks so "small", but i´m sure it must be quite large and it would be very interesting to know how big it is compared to the average human.

Andres Franciso Setti The Crater is 1.600 meters wide, the grey ash coloumn is about 900 meters wide...

Something that really stands out watching your videos, Martin, is that the sound of an erupting volcano is more like a loud "huffing" than the noises that get foleyed onto Hollywood films. I guess it must depend on the type of eruption? Is it the case that bangs mostly happen when the ejection is supersonic?
