This was the prepared version of Jaffe interviewing Colin. That was such a great episode and Jaffe really dig it out of Colin and opened him to these public conversations about KF.

This is 100% due in part to Greg. Colin has stated on Sacred Symbols that he has reached out to him numerous times just to catch up with no intention of talking shop and Greg completely ignores him. The whole situation with the Twitter joke was completely fucking stupid and overblown even back then and it is still stupid to think about now. Bunch of psychos getting worked up over nothing and Greg and Tim are part of that nonsense. Still unbelievable what Greg and Tim allowed to happen to Colin, fuck both of them as far as I am concerned. Oh well, Colin is murdering with Last Stand Media anyways and is in a much better place so it all worked out in the end and he now knows where the true loyalties lie.

KF is honestly very challenging to watch nowadays. It's lost its uniqueness, and seems so...what's the word...superficial and shallow. Fast food ish. And that's kinda sad. So many dope personalities there. Nick, Kevin, Andy, Greg, and honestly, Tim has changed in some ways. But Colin will always be my fave, and one of my favorite media people. Last stand is amazing, especially constellation podcast. Highly recommend it.

    • @everpassingpxpx

I stopped paying attention to KF when they got super preachy and narcissistic about issues they haven't the slightest bit of knowledge on. And I'm not even talking about the "if you support Trump then leave" comments. I found them to be petty, but at that time everyone was in a crazed state. What got me was their ignorance on Israel and Palestine while standing on a soapbox. At that moment I thought to myself, why am I even listening to video game personalities give their "hot takes" on an incredibly nuanced subject in geopolitics? Nevermind the fact that their "thoughts" were nothing more than a parroting of left-wing talking points. Not a single original thought or idea. At that point, I said peace out.

The fact Greg chose Tim over Colin speaks volumes. To value his opinion over someone that seemed to generally cared for you and worked with you closely for years over basically Grima from lord of the rings...shits wild. LSM the goat. And Craig is great for this interview

    • @TheHOOfan1
      @TheHOOfan1 6 месяцев назад

HA I was just about to posts a comment comparing Tim to Grima and saw your comment first...very apt comparison, especially they way Colin portrays Tim in this. Tim rode Greg and Colin's coat tails, and it seems like he was trying to poison their relationship from the beginning so he could take Colin's place. The nerve of Tim to ask Colin to take a pay cut, or contribute the money from his side projects to Kinda Funny. That would be like some tour replacement drummer for Led Zepplin trying to tell Jimmy Page to take a pay cut because he wasn't as visible as Robert Plant.

Great to see Colin interviewed on the show. I listened to BEYOND! back in the day and followed Kinda Funny for a while until they lost their minds like many in America media have done. Would love to see a stream with Craig and Colin in a battle between old school Screw Attack videos vs old school IGN videos or maybe one where you talk about your favourite classic videogames.

Greg is just a showman at heart. As in, being a part of WWE because that makes total sense lol. It's obvious IMO that Colin is the sauce when you look at his track record when it comes to creating PlayStation podcast etc.

Funny enough I have the same experience. Ive followed Colin for years and 2016 leading into what happened between him and KF is what got me into Dave Rubin, Rogan, and then full scale into current events and todays political landscape.
Also this was a fantastic interview, I am so happy I found you!

correction: it was Twin Breaker that Greg talked about, not Habroxia 2.
Idk if this was ever brought up, but I remember catching on KF when Greg talked about Habroxia 2 when talking about what they were playing. If I remember correctly, he said that Colin sent him a code for the game, and Greg talked in a positive way about the game, and that it was def a Colin-ass game or something like that. I believe he went to Platinum it. I'm just really curious if Colin knew about that snippet. I'm sure someone has shared it with him at some point tho.

It’s extremely refreshing to see all of the positive comments towards Colin after all the BS nonsense he was put through after the Twitter joke/Kinda Funny nonsense. There are few things more satisfying in life then when people finally come around to the truth and realize that Colin is in fact, not a monster or a terrible person and that the whole situation with the Twitter joke was a complete overreaction from a very looney toon vocal minority. I am sorry I am not sorry but I am calling it how it is. Unbelievable that nonsense actually really happened and even more insane is how Greg and Tim let Colin go down in flames without any defense. Seriously disgusting but this interview and the reaction to it is so excellent. Cheers.

i do not like some of the things colin touches on politically, but i do appreciate his thoughtfulness and personality. the dynamic of colin and greg was legendary in games media. colin is clearly very strong on his own, and im glad to see/hear it. Thank you for the interview and discussion.

I dont know if youll read this BUT theres a comedy podcast called Biggest Problem in the Universe. They had Adam Sessler on and they were talking about how overblown gamergate was and this was a couple months ago.
I only bring it up bc the Adam Sessler talking point. Maybe hes changed and has less of an identity on picking a side.. idk but i was surprised to hear him have those takes.
Sick interview. Colin has a voice i can listen to for hours.

Colin is right, it should have been just him and Greg, maybe Andrew Goldfarb, but nobody watched or listened for the other guys.
People felt a connection to those two, it broke my heart when Greg turned his back on Colin so much so that to this day I still stay away from anything Greg does, I honestly have no idea what he does or how he is doing. So in that sense for me when Colin left Kinda Funny he killed it.
I met them in person together before all the "peace and quiet", it was an a amazing experience. Still makes me sad, so I'm glad Colin is able to keep on doing things his way.
Sometimes standing up for what you believe in hurts, I've seen him cry on so many different occasions, but always sticking to his guns, no matter what. Colin will forever be an inspiration.

It’s so weird to see this as I go to KF daily just for commentary on game news as they are on all the time. But I look forward to the SS pod every week for a deep dive and a regular gamer perspective on things. You wonder if they just could of found a way to do both that they wouldn’t be absolutely massive abd defining in covering daily news and deep dives and opinions into the industry on a weekly basis

It’s very difficult when friendships fall apart and it’s good that more people, men in particular, are talking about it. I’ve been on the receiving end, much like Colin. I don’t necessarily blame those people as I was no picnic at the time, but it’s very painful nevertheless.
