I'm surprised its liberal given the top selling games like GTA, COD, Battlefield, etc... all involve violence although a game like Witcher 3 would never be made in America, kudos to the Poles.
I find the industry being hyper-liberal weird, if I'm being honest, because the customer base is so hyper-conservative--for the most part. I find there's definitely a correlation to how 'hardcore' a gamer is (and thus how outspoken they tend to be), to how conservative they are. Its interesting to me that there's so much of a divide there. In fact, the polarization and hostility from one side to the other leading up to, particularly during, and the fallout from the gamergate controversy has really turned me off of gaming. To a point where I don't want to associate with the term any more. Where an entire art medium has been ruined for me.

Funny thing is the controversy bought heaps of new fans to Colin when people saw him on this and realised he was a rational chill and generally good dude. Truth always wins in the end.
Moriarty, 50, has been in the United States nearly his entire life, and arrived in the country as a child. He claims that his grandfather helped found the original settlement a few years after the war. His father used the nearby trade routes to amass wealth and help secure Megaton.
Colin's first move was to build a fence around the town. Since then, the people have looked to Colin as a benefactor despite his running drinks, chems, girls, and games out of his saloon.

I made a comment the other day when Joe was talking about this story. It was something along the lines of two of my favorite people to watch podcast showing up in one video. I had a feeling this would happen. Good internet...very good.
I'm a registered democrat and even I think that things have become overly politically correct. Like the recent Battlefield V controversy. When people dared criticize it's depiction of a woman in the game, they were quickly labeled as sexist or misogynist, or that they knew nothing about history. I don't think any rational person disputes that women were important in WWII. They were transport pilots, flight nurses, Spys, laborers, etc. The soviet union had 2,000 female snipers not to mention the all female Nightwitches. The British SOE iirc had about 60 women. But do any of them get the recognition they are due? Nope, instead what they opt to present is a contrived made up bunch of bs. The problem is they depicted the woman in the trailer as having a prosthetic arm and blue face paint which is utterly ridiculous. If you had a prosthetic in the US you would have been classed as 4F solely on that alone. If you lost a limb in WWII the war was pretty much over for you as you would have been sent home for more thorough treatment and long term rehabilitation/therapy. They wouldn't have sent you back into the meat grinder. They would have used fresh troops i.e. replacements to bolster units that had taken casualties. Then there was the British guy with a nodachi and they all were wearing face paint. Were we watching Braveheart or a trailer for Battlefield V? If they had put a dinosaur on the cover people wouldn't have been upset because they hated dinosaurs. They would have been upset because it just looked out of place. Never mind the fact that in a trailer a guy picks up a grenade and tosses it to have a friendly shoot the grenade to take out an aircraft.
Tim's Disney Princess fuck list was far more offensive than what Colin said. It suggests 'targetting' for a one night stand. Tim didn't even say if they'd know that it was potentially only a one night stand.
Great Interview. I'd never even heard of Colin until last week, and I will now be a lifetime subscriber to his "Last Stand" channel. One point of disagreement with Joe. I don't feel bad at all for all those writers who are "forced" to lie and use libelous, ridiculous hyperbole in their articles. Everyone has a choice, always, and when you submit and play that vile game of social justice journalism you give it a validity that it in no way deserves. If there are so many writers out there who truly find such dishonesty and deceit to be morally repugnant then they should band together and start their own news sources that counter these cowardly, fascist scumbags with truth and ethics and integrity.
I really hope Colin keeps making Colin was right! Obviously under his own new banner, but those are the absolute best videos Kinda Funny will ever have.

This is why satire and comedy and offending people with art is so utterly important. This is why! Our human cultural bullshit is so arbitrary and lest we forget, expose our everyday realities, which, by the way, change.
Having an opinion about anything can destroy your life if it rubs a SJW (group) the wrong way. The vindictive backlash to force you to retract and or publicly apologize is over the top.
I don't really agree with Colin politically and on Kinda funny he used to shit on some of my favorite video games but it's still super fucked up what happened to him. Especially his former colleagues turning on him. The worst is that Greg Miller, his best friend, who Colin helped through his cancer, also publicly came out and condemned him for the joke. Greg could have stood up for his friend and probably would have gotten more support from the gaming industry but he decided that his reputation among these super sensitive people was more important.
Common man, we both know Colin is a smart dude, he knew what he was doing when he wrote that tweet and left Kinda Funny. The proof is that he's been on Rubin and Rogan's show and started his own successful Patreon. He wasn't betrayed, he made a choice.
True but then if Greg really did disagree with the joke and Colin's political views, he would just be acting dishonestly by fully defending Colin. I think Greg did come out and strongly say he respected Colin and what he chose to do, but just didn't agree with it. I can't really fault Greg for that.
In this day and age the most fragile minded people are the loudest on the Internet. Reacting instantly without thought and it's purely based on a emotion. Also, without consequence when posting under a username which gives them a excuse to be ridiculously relentless to the person/people that they're targeting. In other words, they're cowards. - Treat others the way you want to be treated. Don't be a dick.
People are just angry because of their failures: hate their jobs/wife/husband/life, etc. Instead of blaming themselves for their choices and making a change, they attack the people who appear comfortable/happy with their lives. So much easier to pour on the hate on twitter. Misery LOVES company.

i'd probably skew center liberal if there is such a thing, but this whole Colin thing (Avid fan of KF and Colin) with the tweet is kinda ridiculous (pun maaaaybe intended). It was a joke, it was whatever i didn't really look too much into it, then all of a sudden BOOM hes gone. I think its really just ridiculous to focus on such a ridiculous thing when there are so many more important issues running around and while Political Correctness / Mutual respect for others has its place, if you cant take this level of joke, your only hurting the cause and de-legitimizing true Liberal thought exchange. Not everyone finds it funny, but no one should find something that benign offensive. Good luck Colin and thank you for the healthy perspective
I once made a comment to the CEO of one of the largest financial firms in the entire world that our assistants really did all the work and deserve raises and he told me I couldn't say that, because it might be construed as sexist.
Nation of Masturbation I remember playing that game a couple years ago and finding Colin Moriarty in that one little city. Is that character based off of the real life Colin?
@@Deadpool784 Late replay but the answer is no. Colin played the game before it was released at an E3 conference. The demo included the Atomic bomb section ands the character of Colin Moriarty. When Colin (the real one) told the devs his name they thought he was joking. No connection.
Well at least at the end of the day this was the best thing that could have possibly happened to Colin he's not worth well over a million $ and Greg Two-Face Miller is sitting on a quarter million
Makes sense the gaming industry is hyper liberal most media things are because most people not all who are interested in going into these industries tend to be left leaning which is fine until they put their political opinions in video games movies and tv shows which has happened far too often because let’s face it most people on both sides just hate the other side for no reason so why would I want that in my entertainment if it’s not even decent in the real world?

I dont undestand the problem all that well, Is Colin saying people dont let him express himself cause they felt offended by his tweet? but what people did was just expressing they were offended (it was in essence the same thing then). Did someone do anything to him beyond talking? Saying you thing someone is sexist its also an opinion....
I see what you're saying but they are overflowing and taking things out of context. It's easy to take bite sized pieces of info out of context and make someone seem horrible. They key difference is knowing context, manipulating context, and ignoring context.
The same governmental power that makes murder illegal is totally consistent with making abortion illegal. It's not about telling a woman what she can't do with her body. It's about telling a woman she can't murder a child inside her body. So unless you're going to argue that small government means that we also can't tell a person what they can and can't do with another person's body (murder), you're wrong.
Hatred and confrontation is only funny and hillarious and harmless when you are filled with it. For hatredless people is just disgusting or sad. This is why some people laugh and others push back.
Colin recently did a great interview on his RUclips channel Last Stand media. Where he exposes how vince ingenito was canceled for no valid reason by Kelly plagge. He lost everything because she took advantage of the me-too movement.
I don't know, the guy was a founder of the company and made the decision to resign himself. He says it was to make life easier for his partners, but it seems like he caved way too easily. Of course there are people on the left that completely over-react to shit like this, but I also wonder if he wasn't ready to leave anyway and just used this as an excuse. Oh, and he also happened to raise 20k on patreon to fund a new politics/history channel in one day. I wonder how much of his decision to leave was influenced by the idea that being a victim of pc culture would boost his ability to raise funds?

i'd probably skew center liberal if there is such a thing, but this whole Colin thing (Avid fan of KF and Colin) with the tweet is kinda ridiculous (pun maaaaybe intended).
I'm basically sold on Colin's Last Stand. Colin you go buddy
Damn I was wondering what happened to Colin, Really like him and I'm a liberal
I once made a comment to the CEO of one of the largest financial firms in the entire world that our assistants really did all the work and deserve raises and he told me I couldn't say that, because it might be construed as sexist.
Why is it ok to get people fired for saying something in their private life. I find going after someone's livelihood over speech offensive.
I can't believe I haven't seen this
Wait... This isn't Colin Moriarty from Fallout 3?
Nation of Masturbation I remember playing that game a couple years ago and finding Colin Moriarty in that one little city. Is that character based off of the real life Colin?
@@Deadpool784 Late replay but the answer is no. Colin played the game before it was released at an E3 conference. The demo included the Atomic bomb section ands the character of Colin Moriarty. When Colin (the real one) told the devs his name they thought he was joking. No connection.
Well at least at the end of the day this was the best thing that could have possibly happened to Colin he's not worth well over a million $ and Greg Two-Face Miller is sitting on a quarter million
oh these sweet summer children had no idea what was coming.
My worlds are colliding!!!!!
I LOVE ME SOME COLIN MORIARTY!
he got shunned by his co-workers and friends cause of a harmless joke... wtf
I swear sth is going on in San Fran and California, I know a number of youtubers who move there and become completely crazy and hyper liberal.
Now it is just time to win. Bullets can't be too far off.
It's an old dad joke.
Joe Rogan saying comics aren’t gonna censor themselves and I’m just sitting here like man so much has changed in 4 years
Comics from Joe Rogan's generation still don't. All the new comics/late night tv hosts are the ones that censor themselves for more money usually.
@@ANGELOFDARKification joe has censored himself since he jumped to Spotify, Jim Norton has pulled back in Tosh and Anthony jeselnick have censored themselves. The state of comedy is bad right now
@@snakebagel9729 Joe has because he sold out to Spotify thinking they wouldn't intervene. I dont know about the guys you mentioned but the comedians I follow like Bill Burr, Chapelle, Theo Von, Bobby Lee etc. are the same comics they were before.
@@ANGELOFDARKification Bobby lee has changed although that’s mostly from getting clean. Bill burr has censored himself and made apologies to the mob before although he is pretty straight forward. But if you think that they aren’t all terrified of getting canceled your out of your mind. As far as I know the only comic with enough balls not to fear being canceled was Owen Benjamin
Dam I remember this, seems quaint in 2022
@3:22 exactly - for years he's been sliding in his conservative, don't tread on me commentary and it's been urking the fuck out of people
Reading or listening to people who totally agree with me is boring.
Even women managers agree with the truth in that joke.
Women basically Yoko Ono'ed games media.
HAH
FALLOUT. COLIN MORIARTY
GET IT?
Hatred and confrontation is only funny and hillarious and harmless when you are filled with it. For hatredless people is just disgusting or sad. This is why some people laugh and others push back.
The final verdict is that the joke is funny because it's true.
Richard Farrell Literally true. Less people = less sound.
Colin recently did a great interview on his RUclips channel Last Stand media. Where he exposes how vince ingenito was canceled for no valid reason by Kelly plagge. He lost everything because she took advantage of the me-too movement.
This reminds me of the Dongle debacle. Innocent joke leads to a man's life being ruined because sadistic maniacal moral elitists felt like it.
What company did Colin cofounded?
Rt gtz kinda funny
Colin is the Helwani of games journalism
I swear I thought they were talking about Colin Moriarty from fallout 3 wtf LMFAO
Who gives a fuck about tweeter
I don't know, the guy was a founder of the company and made the decision to resign himself. He says it was to make life easier for his partners, but it seems like he caved way too easily. Of course there are people on the left that completely over-react to shit like this, but I also wonder if he wasn't ready to leave anyway and just used this as an excuse. Oh, and he also happened to raise 20k on patreon to fund a new politics/history channel in one day. I wonder how much of his decision to leave was influenced by the idea that being a victim of pc culture would boost his ability to raise funds?
People are stupid.
this OverReaction culture is the dystopian future I didn't want to arrive..
i disagree with something joe said....
i live in an office environment where i'm not free to be myself....and when i see people like chapelle and other comedians and offensive shows i DONT wanna stop them. i enjoy them quite a lot........so yeah, some of the special snowflakes might be office dwellers.....but not all(probably not even many) office dwellers are special snowflakes....we're just restricted while we're at work...
Where's Gob
Hasn't anyone see shows like "The View"" Women make jokes like this all the time.
Colin moriarty
Fallout

Everybody Tweet Capcom and demand Colin oversee a New Mega Man game! Do it!!!
