Thanks Sean. I have them all here in Norway🇳🇴. He was my fathers favourite and he has been mine since the First movie I saw. The perfect man in every way. ❤️
I admired Flynn since I was a kid with the old adage the good always win against evil the man was at the right time in Hollywood in it it's golden era of making good films for the viewing public such films are the mold of what Hollywood today needs to heed as a good film. Those were the days my friend we thought would never end. Good video of Flynn and by gone era of Hollywood the home of the stars.
I was around 6 years old when i saw one of his movies, with my brother, & father, whom liked his movies. And i fell for him. Did not know what love was about. But he was for me. I have most of his movies, & i still think his handsome.
I agree with your great narration about Errol Flynn, I'm so desperate to see a great aero Flynn film that I keep looking for his son's version the The son of CaptainBlood made in the 1960s before his disappearance thank you for this wonderful film about Errol Flynn. 5:13
From one Flynn fan to another: excellent job! You know your stuff, man! (Although I personally would have left off “Virginia City” and “Dive Bomber.”) His fine performances in “Uncertain Glory” and “That Forsyte Woman” should be on anyone’s list. Flynn deserved a Best Actor Oscar nomination for “The Adventures of Robin Hood.” He also should have been nominated as Best Supporting Actor for “The Sun Also Rises” and “Too Much, Too Soon.”
1- Sea Hawk 2 Robin Hood 3 Capt Blood 4 Rocky Mtn. 5 They died with their boots on 6 Santa fe Trail --- & his co stars Alan Hale , Big Boy Williams & Eric Korngold ,honorable mention to Warner bros. & Michael Curtise
I can still watch every one of these films, but it's the "Gary Owen" scene in "They Died With Their Boots On" that always give me goosebumps! "Men die, but a Regiment lives on." Indeed.
There is one film by flynn that has been lost to time and there was something about it that captured me , I think it's because it took me back to early flynn westerns and that was rocky mountain
For a reviewer of Flynn’s movies you should have known that “Dive Bomber” was about the developing of the belt, later suit, that restricted blood flow during a dive, (not shown in your clip) and the high pressure suit used to prevent hypoxia, (shown in your clip)
I can see your focus is on Flynn’s acting and not necessarily his most enjoyable (to audiences) films. Robin Hood and Edge of Darkness are probably my favourites although I enjoyed him in The Sun Also Rises and Don Juan is also good.
Wonderful compilation, but I am a trifle disappointed that Objective, Burma! is not part of the list. That film is one of Flynn's better performances. I think Flynn was an underrated actor, owing largely to the fact that his swashbuckling image denied him better opportunity to showcase his acting skills.
Edge of Darkness and Gentleman Jim need to be on the list. They are two of his best. Especially Edge of Darkness. You can remove Don Juan and Dive Bomber.
Hey Sean, have you ever seen the Goonies? In the movie, one of the chars is watching Captain Blood, and I can't help but wonder if the 'pirate aspect' of the Goonies was inspired by that movie. It wouldn't surprise me at least. Also, one of my fav movies is Robin Hood: Men in Tights and while I know a lot of Prince of Thieves was referenced in that movie, I also think the Adventures of Robin Hood influenced the movie too, like the famous fight scene with the 'shadow fight part' and other things of course. Adventures of Robin Hood is definitely one of my fav movies of all time. No surprise it got #1 lol.
What a great list and agree One Hundred Percent with Number One. The best Robin Hood adaptation, with the only other good ones I have seen in my book being The 1973 Disney film, The Zany Adventures of Robin Hood, and Men in Tights. The Story of Robin Hood and His Merrie Men by Disney in the 50’s felt too much like it was wanting to copy The 1938 film, to me at least.
I'd love both of those movies. I remember while we were watching it.We went to the psychopathy. We had to find out more about the doctor who actually develop tdevelop treatments and tests for rocky mountain spotted fever.
Flynn was great. OMG, Charge of the Light Brigade is awful from a historical perspective. Flynn and Niven are great but the whole lead up in India. The transplanting of the Indian villain into the ranks of the Russian artillery at Balaclava... uggh! Dawn Patrol is one of my personal favourites. I also liked Objective Burma.
You are a true fan my friend. Thank-you. Thanks to people like you,Errol will never truly die.

One of Flynn’s invisible co-stars who starred in Flynn’s best movies, was the movie scores of Eric Wolfgang Korngold.
I was around 6 years old when i saw one of his movies, with my brother, & father, whom liked his movies. And i fell for him. Did not know what love was about. But he was for me. I have most of his movies, & i still think his handsome.
I was about 4 or 5 when I started to watch his movies with my father. He was my dad's favorite actor, and I have continued the tradition to this day.

Virginia City is a weird choice. I did enjoy Dive Bomber though. Historical movie.
I enjoyed Virginia City
Robin Hood. Agree. Would have included Gentleman Jim. Very entertaining❤️
One of the best most realistic and psycjologically tense films by Flynn was Objective Burma.
1- Sea Hawk 2 Robin Hood 3 Capt Blood 4 Rocky Mtn. 5 They died with their boots on 6 Santa fe Trail --- & his co stars Alan Hale , Big Boy Williams & Eric Korngold ,honorable mention to Warner bros. & Michael Curtise
Thank You So Very Much. This was excellent!
I can still watch every one of these films, but it's the "Gary Owen" scene in "They Died With Their Boots On" that always give me goosebumps! "Men die, but a Regiment lives on." Indeed.
Every time I hear Gary Owen it gives me chills and my eyes water.
AFTER THE SILENT SCREEN STAR DOUGLAS FAIRBANKS ,ERROL FLYNN IS BY FAR THE GREAT SCREEN SWASHBUCKLER OF OUR TIME.
Eroll flynn Zindabad great actor only 1 Robin Hood that's eroll great actor had real class Miss u my friend Rest in peace ur Name lives on
Nice homage to a Legend
There is one film by flynn that has been lost to time and there was something about it that captured me , I think it's because it took me back to early flynn westerns and that was rocky mountain
I agree it's one of my favourite films beautifully shot it has a lot of heart. I watch it regularly.
For a reviewer of Flynn’s movies you should have known that “Dive Bomber” was about the developing of the belt, later suit, that restricted blood flow during a dive, (not shown in your clip) and the high pressure suit used to prevent hypoxia, (shown in your clip)

Gentleman Jim is his best! No bad at all in Edge of Darkness.
For me 1) Don Juan 2) Robin Hood 3) Gentlenan Jim. 4) Charge of the Light Brigade 5) Dawn Patrol.
He was a class act, but just couldn't stay away from alcohol.

Les immenses stars ont toujours eu une fêlure : il est parti à 50 ans foudroyé d'une crise cardiaque....bouffu par l'alcool !
Not "Gentleman Jim" (his favorite) or "Objective, Burma!"?
UNCERTAIN GLORY
Should have won an Oscar for that one. As in That Forsythe Woman, even when he played a bad guy,it was hard to root against him.
@0:22 "piercing blue eyes" ??? he CLEARLY doesnt have blue eyes in the footage you are showing. They were brown with gold flecks in them..
Any Future Top 12 Videos?
@@jeradpaulson771 Maybe, once the election is over.
@@sspdirect02 who do you think will win
@@jeradpaulson771 All signs say Harris.
ROBIN HOOD,CAPTAIN BLOOD,DODGE CITY
I think a lot depends on personal taste and whether the top 12 list is made by a woman or a man.
No gentleman Jim, what a joke.
Brown/hazel eyes--not blue!
Why the fuck did I even say that, I'll never know.
So much for his top films. Click bait!
These were his top films. What else are you looking for?
Objective Burma and Rocky Mountain (a true classic) should be on any Errol Flynn list. Dive Bomber is a pretty awful thing. To each his own.
I'd love both of those movies. I remember while we were watching it.We went to the psychopathy. We had to find out more about the doctor who actually develop tdevelop treatments and tests for rocky mountain spotted fever.
Objective burma is a heartbreaking world war two movie. Great.
Movie but I never wanna see it again. Is errol flynn is wonderful in it.
That was.
A wonderful movie based on a true story on the doctor who developed a test and identified the disease rocky mountain spotted fever
What a joke, no gentleman Jim, how can you take this guy seriously? Stephen King.
They were the films I grew up watching.
Gentleman Jim was a classic and one of Flynn's personal favourites.
It could only be Robin Hood as Number One. Anything else would be a fraud.
