Your mothers marker is a beauty mr linker.
Thank you for bringing us a comfort bird adventure. I like to carve them and leave them behind to bring others joy. Or place them at markers as a memory and a reminder I have been there instead of coins.

Hi Doug, I'm going off topic a little but the very first whittle I did was your 5-minute Wizard, which ended up being a bit different to your design. It is done in 360 degree 3" x 1" design with little feet and all. All my friends love it and I never leave home without it, I treat it like a comfort bird (talking to it and handling it when thinking). I call it a 'pocket person' and have made other 'pocket people' to give to friends - gnomes and tree spirits especially. Here in UK, a rabbits foot is carried (usually on a chain) as a good luck charm and that is how I treat these little 2x1 and 3x1 pocket people. Yes, I'm probably a bit nuts but I love these little things in life.
