Oh this deserves more views. I vaguely remember watching a show that showed and dancing man at the top of the kingdome, and now I see it was the old Evening Magazine- what a great show it was! 10:30 But now I want to know how a crank call almost got Macca cancelled!
My first memories as a kid are watching those fireworks in the kingdome. I remember being amazed that you could have fireworks indoors. Thanks for posting this! Something I’d always wondered a bit about but didn’t think to look up.
I feel like t mobile park and how difficult it is to hit home runs there has definitely affected them. They’ve been to the playoffs 1 times now in a little over 20 years.
Mark Langston went from moon walking on the dugout to losing the 1 game playoff for the California Angles vs The Mariners in 1995 to Randy Johnson, the same guy he was traded for.
Seattle has never been the same since the dome was blown down.
Just like NYC hasn't been the same since the twin towers collapsed.

A little known fact about the Kingdome is that it hosted the first World Cup qualifier to be played indoors between the US & Canada in 1976
Soccer is gay
The Mariners aren't going to win a World Series, until The Kingdom is rebuilt! Cool.

A great Mariner memory was when Rupert Jones hit a pop up that got stuck in one of the Kingdome speakers. It was ruled a strike.
A sports venue like the Seattle Kingdom would be an awesome site to see if it was drastically modified form the inside out.
Great find
