  • Don't Buy Ice Cream again!? Use this instead, the ninja creami. In this video, we will walk you through operating the ice cream maker, showing you how to make some cream base, and giving our opinion on the Creami.
Tip From One Of Our Viewer's
"When adding stuff for the mix-in cycle, it requires making a hole in the center of the pint. To try to make that hole with a spoon is clumsy. I took the circular food plunger part from the Cuisineart, dipped it in warm water, and pushed it down to make that hole to add crushed nuts to my peanut butter ice cream. I also suggest that if plans are to add materials to the ice cream to leave the pint about 1/2" from the fill line, because Archimedes laws of displacement means that making that hole will require displacing some of the ice cream and it's either scoop out the middle with a spoon and put that into a bowl or do it with pressure like I described, which will push the ice cream from that hole to the sides evenly. It works great."

Haven't bought store bought ice cream since we bought one of these. With a little planning and enough mixing containers (buy extra) the whole family can make their own flavor concoctions.
    Super Easy Recipe:
    1 Cup Milk
    3/4 Cup Heavy Cream
    1/4 Cup Sugar
2 Tablespoons of your favorite Instant Pudding Powder (strawberry Quik with chopped strawberries mixed in is awesome. Chocolate Ovaltine instead of pudding powder makes a near identical Wendy's Frosty -- takes about 6-8 Tablespoons of Ovaltine powder, though. Cut back on the sugar if desired since the Ovaltine has it already).
Freeze overnight. Re-spinng the mix 3 times will give you a soft serve-type consistency.

I have this and the ice cream attachment for my Bosch Universal Mixer. The only 2 downsides to the Creami are you gotta prep it a day in advance and it only makes a pint. Although for some the 2nd might be a plus so they can't eat a half gallon in 1 sitting lol. While my Bosch doesn't require a day ahead of prep. It does take a lot of ice and a ton of ice cream salt. Oh and the Creami is one of the loudest appliances I've ever heard, it's pretty insane how loud this is.
I'm not even a super big ice cream person but this machine's really fantastic. And while I see a lot of people saying it's just a blender, it's very different . This machine's magical.

The Ninja Creami makes the best ice cream. Hands down the best ice cream maker I have ever owned. That kind of stevia is mostly erythritol which has a cooling effect. Some powdered stevia is cut with maltodextrin which is just a form of sugar. I use pure stevia drops called Now Better Stevia. It is super concentrated. Stevia is a sweetener that some like and it takes sometime to get used to. Other low carb options are sucralose drops, monk fruit drops, allulose, erythritol. If you are not cutting carbs then don't do it, but none of my ice cream has sugar and it tastes great.

I don't want ice cream every day, so on "spin and eat" day, I make up a new batch. I also bought 2 extra pints so I can have an ice cream base in the freezer as well as frozen fruit for a sorbet. I also found it fairly critical to temp your freezer and keep it around -5. Between this thing and the Foodi XL HD whatever the letters are that's all I need. I want to find my immersion blender because it's the perfect size to fit down into the pint for mixing. Like almost everything, read the directions. Or the way I learned it in the Army, RTFM.

Thats great. if you get powder after the first spin its too cold. Some people reported their ninja creami burning out after a year or so. I think common sense would be to leave the container out for 15 or 30 minutes like you did that would be easier on the ninja creami parts and motor.

It's pointless to eat Splenda or you know that Stevia mix that they sell because it uses dextrose which is basically corn sugar and it also has four calories per gram but because it's less than five they're allowed to say it's zero so it's basically the same calories as sugar
