- Navy Recruit Training Command Center determined, that after 8 weeks in training, she had what it takes to be a SAILOR in the US NAVY! We took a trip to Chicago from our homestead in Southeast Michigan, to attend the ceremony. She will now spend two more years at Naval Station Great Lakes for schooling, before heading off to sea. We're so proud every single step you've taken on this journey Abigail, and cannot wait to see you again - hopefully soon!
Fun fact, this was NOT our first time attending a Navy Boot Camp Graduation. Our son also graduated from RTC few years ago, and is still on Active Duty today. ⚓

Wow that’s great being 19 1/2 years Navy wife late husband passed away .. Oldest son served 4 years I cried all the way through this .. So proud of her ..Such a happy moment look at those smiles ❤️ Congratulations ⚓️

Every citizen in the USA should attend one of these Armed Forces ceremonies to see these dedicated young men and women as they proudly begin serving our country. After my son's graduation from the USAF boot camp we had a chance to visit with many of the airmen and were heartened to see and hear about their patriotism and eagerness to serve. These fine men and women of our Armed Forces are the protectors of our Constitution, our freedoms and liberty. Very proud of them all!
Oh that would bring perspective to anyone that takes our freedom for granted. Thank you for your families service 🇺🇲

Congratulations to Abigail, she should be so proud of herself. This brings back so many memories of when my son graduated his basic training from the Army. It brought back lots of tears to. Now my son is retired and the army with 21 years of service.

I know y'all are very Proud of her , I know I am & I am also very Proud of my daughter ( Maelene ) she joined the Army a little over a year ago she is now in Fort Drum New York and will be deployed to Afghanistan in February of 2020 she will be turning 21 overseas, and I am very worried , but I know she will be ok , Thank your daughter for her service

That video made me cry! Such a sweet reunion. My son leaves Tues for the Army. This is a whole new life for our family. Hopefully I can make it until Christmas when we see him next.

I lived up there for 4 yrs in the mid to late 80's when my father was stationed there. My husband was one of the last graduating classes in Orlando before they closed it.
I been a target of emotional distress and won’t have family support but I serve still.

What’s the difference when the graduate in the white & navy blue or black? I think
If your in a tropical region they always wear dress whites for formal occasions. But northern hemispheres wear whites for spring summer and blues for fall winter

Hi! Thank you for this video! Can I ask about whats step and what documents they need to go in to the graduation for non-US citizens? Cause i am not US citizens but my boyfriend is in the navy bootcamp right now and I am planing to go to his graduation on January but I am not sure what should I prepare? Thank you!!!
Do foreigner need anything else to go in except the ticket,passport or driver license?

Our son has been in hawaii the last 4 years headed back to Charleston this month for his next assignment. I was able to go out to visit a few times and loved each visit. Thank you for your families service

My daughter is a Navy Chief, FMF Corpsman and I remember her boot camp graduation like it was yesterday! So impressive. My daughter also taught Corps School when it was there. She’s been to GTMO, Afghanistan, east coast, west coast and is presently attached to the Marines again in Camp Pendleton. Fair winds and following seas!

Thank you! Our exchange student was on the list of attendees, we were pulled over at the main entrance gate so they could do their security check. She was fingerprinted, photographed, and passport scanned. All she needed was her passport.
