Mercedes CL63 AMG vs. BMW M3 Sedan (E90)

This is a great video of a Mercedes CL63 AMG laying waste to a modified BMW E90 M3 sedan. The BMW was putting out around 440 horsepower at the time, while the CL63 came with 518 horsepower stock. Even though the Mercedes was much heavier (5000 lbs) the 6.2 liter V8's torque made all of the difference. On a track the M3 would destroy the benz though...

The Benz is 6,000 pounds!!!! The M3 is like 3,700 pounds. A motorcycle with 125 horsepower will beat most cars because it's practically weightless. Weight matters as much as horsepower.

what kind of conclusion is that?? 6.2 vs 4.0 and say benz cant do better? 1st of all the CL class is not for all out speed. it is one of the most luxurious cars out there. M3 is a track car and built for one purpose speed. all the gadgets and toys in the CL are for comfort aswel as to keep up with fast cars such as the M3. this is a friendly comparison dont say merc cant do better. if you want to compare to the M3. go to the C63 and that frashes the M3.

the cl driver had slow start. benz shits on this average looking bimmer. i cant tell difference between m3 or a regular 3 series.
