Welcome back to the channel ladies and gentleman! Today we are FINALLY straight piping our Mercedes CL63 AMG! Kev has had the car for over 4 years and this is his second modification to the Mercedes CL63 AMG. We removed the mufflers and replaced them with high-grade stainless steel straight pipes. Thanks to MRT Performance, our Mercedes CL63 AMG sounds WAY louder with the straight pipes! Do you think the CL63 is way too loud nowor should we make it even louder? Comment below. Enjoy :)

Straight pipe doesn't necessarily mean the whole exhaust system straightened out, it also refers to a certain *section of the entire system straightened.
@@alfakennybody2635 it actually does, it means a straight passage for the exhaust from the headers to the exhaust tips without any catalytic converters, resonators or mufflers... if youre talking about removing the muffler you can either say “muffler delete” or an axle back straight pipe (because behind the rear axles any sound deadening is removed), its not a huge deal and it makes for a good title but technically its not the right term

Sounds awesome, but the stock tips look way better
Stock tips will also hold up over time much better than cheap aftermarket tips... especially when you weld them because the gas from the welder removes the corrosion coating usually and makes them rust. I would’ve bought an exhaust if it was me but oh well😂

@@claycrawford9009 especially that you can get almost the same effect by cutting open and emptying the resonators from that sound-proofing foam- and welding them shut again.
@@Veryperceptivecat exactly and then if he wanted more sound he could’ve put on c63 mufflers. Which would have retained the stock look and the awesome sound....I did a muffler delete once and hated it. The sound was really good but the look and quality just kinda ruined it...

Old style head bolts, camshaft and bucket wear, camshaft adjuster wear, PCV valve failure, leaky intake manifold (it's magnesium), the entire ABC system. Nothing's too old if the car is up on it's maintenance, which can be expensive. Fantastic car, IMO.

I don't really see why people want exhausts louder and louder. I'm driving my V8/12 in the Qt. Hear a super loud exhaust. Look round and it's some kev car. The cl63 sounds great stock.
