It's interesting how Tim describes the style of Hope as "teenager-y" because, given that the show takes place approximately now and Phil is about 40, he would've been a teenager in the 90s, so this kind of grunge sound would definitely be the music of his adolescence. And I think that speaks to the immaturity he's stuck in, but also the vulnerability and fear. He's lost all sense of security and control over his life and he feels like a scared and angry kid.
wow this is fascinating, love learning all the little details that contribute to the subconscious effect of the music or have symbolic meaning but you would never consciously realize just listening to it
Good song and interesting hearing about its birth , but for me there is something lost in excluding the movie's classic daybreak song, "Put your little hand in mine"...

This is absolutely fascinating; I really wish Tim would play Phil himself in a movie version of the musical.

Interesting observation! The 90’s thing.

Please tell me that little blip of footage means there's an eventual proshot
12 hours in a day? Lol what? Nonetheless, Tim's awesome
I would assume he is speaking "day" as in morning/breakfast to evening/dinner.
12-hour cycles probably is what he meant.
'Fuck Pro-Tools' Love it.

They couldn't add that song due to copyright concerns unfortunately
i don't think it's unfortunate at all; i prefer to have all the original songs. @@YAMMAS
