the rocksteady leaders that made the GOOD games of the arkham verse already left and formed their own studio, taking all the rest of the GOOD developers that were just as important and qualified to make a good arkham game... the good devs are gone, rocksteady is now a shell where a foreign crab has taken refuge and claimed all the acclaim owning that shell gave it.
Honestly I am not surprised because this game was doomed to fail from its inception to its execution in my opinion.

I can relate to being distraught when your favorite thing is destroyed by something later down the line. Arkham, or other. It's painful. Similar to this, I don't like seeing my favorite book get destroyed in their adaptations. I hope Rocksteady and Warner Brothers as a whole learn from this.

I replayed through Arkham Knight after Suicide Squad released. I didn't even play Suicide Squad, but even I felt like I needed some cleansing. Arkham Knights such a great game. Another Arham Knight that expands on the dual play feature could have been amazkng. Arkham Origins 2 where you play as Batman and Robin in an open World would be my dream.
You know what sucks the most? This hurts Superman's fans just as much as it does Batman's fans.
SSKTJL is the closest we're ever gonna get to a Superman game and...the world of Metropolis is in ruins constantly. The civilians are dead. Even Superman himself is dead.
and then you've got the fans of Wonder Woman, Lantern, Flash, and how their favorite heroes were treated in this joke of a game.
Really, SSKTJL is just a giant middle finger to us fans and rather than make an amazing game that people could keep playing endlessly, they instead just wanted a quick cash grab while insulting the consumer at the same time.

True brother. I would’ve loved as a Batman fan to be able to play an Arkhamverse Superman game. Imagine how much darker it could’ve been with how messed up Arkham is with supes in it. Nah no Superman, Wonder Woman, or green lantern for us. What’s worse is that staro is in the arkhamverse and we could’ve had something better. This whole thing feels like an elseworld universe not even connected.

They had damn near a decade to build on Arkham Knight and what did we get? 3rd person shooter. WB didn't tell them to do that. SB didn't have a say in game play.

The game is a twisted elseworld similar to Marvel Zombies, it's barely connected to Arkham, the Arkham references were a forced marketing tactic.

After following you for as long as I have, I've come to learn that you're pretty much always right....I wish others would learn that too.....Also even though I would much prefer another Batman game, I would've haven been to upset about a Suicide Squad game, if they focused on making a good story, but they didn't. And yeah, they should never work with Sweet Baby Inc again...maybe no studio ever should.
Hopefully this will be a massive warning for companies, AVOID SWEET BABY INC AT ALL COSTS!!!! And if not, well, there's the old games that we can still play. I'm playing through the Arkham Trilogy again.

Rocksteady CHOSE to add story elements that the consultants gave. Regardless of the story issues, the gameplay and game design is all on Rocksteady and Warner Brothers than Sweet Baby Inc.
I don't understand why people were expecting a follow-up to Knight. Rocksteady literally said back in 2015 that it was meant to be the last game. It blows my mind that people have been waiting the past 9 years for a new Arkham game, like didn't you guys see all the promos calling Knight the final chapter back in the day? It's no less ridiculous than if somebody said they were "waiting for a sequel to LotR: Return of the King" lol. The story ended, and that's a good thing.

Plus I know he said it's a little weird with Damian but it makes sense since talia mentioned in Arkham City about their "fun time" in metropolis but Batman told her how she drugged him and such. Which is how Damian is born. So maybe when Damian grew up he would of tried to find Bruce in the cancelled game
That was not from Rocksteady!! It was WB Montreal and it was confirmed to not be set in the Arkhamverse!!! Plus Arkham Origins was setting up a Suicide Squad game, so yeah!! You need to face the truth sometimes!!!

They'd need to make a standalone Superman game first. Doing a Batman V Superman story where one of the two leads hasn't been set up prior would be insane. I mean, can you imagine if they didn Batman V Superman movie featuring a Batman that had never appeared prior? That would be so dumb lol.

I have absolutely zero sympathy, we’ve known for a while there are serious trouble makers at Rocksteady, the truth of the matter is Rocksteady is no longer Rocksteady most of the actual talent has left, the people responsible for giving us Arkham are largely not the same people that pushed and developed this god awful game. I’ve been saying for months the legacy of this game will be it will be directly responsible for losing people their jobs and livelihoods and I have very little sympathy for what was once a fantastic studio but those who are there have zero right to bask in the greatest of what once was, because they had nothing to do with the success and everything to do with its failure.
The rumor that old devs left is a lie!! I looked up on their Linkedin profiles and NO, the old devs did not leave!! 70-80% are still there!!! Plus Sefton Hill claimed it was obviously brought by the same tema of the Arkham Trilogy!!

This just needed to be batman in metropolis, trying to save the justice league from brainiac and save the world. Batman using his contingency plans against the justice league would be peak as a game, especially as an arkham game. If they wanted to make it online, bring in the bat-family.

Kwing, I think we need to start referring to Sweet Baby as Evil Infant. Because that's exactly what they are. And WB is right up there with them. Making stuff to cater to the 1% while practically flipping off the 99% that have stuck with them for decades.

Even the Gotham knights that we got could’ve been reworked into an Arkham sequel…we basically already got it w the dlc. The reason that this happened is because WB only cares about one thing; Profit. They’re honestly not that different, if at all, from publishers like EA. As long as they’re laughing all the way, to the bank, the quality of their games don’t matter. It also doesn’t matter, to them, if developers lose their jobs. As someone who loves Batman Arkham, and Insomniac’s Spider-Man, this is incredibly sad. We could’ve had those two titans neck and neck, with their modern game libraries, for years to come. However, WB making Suicide Squad a live service, and Sweet Baby Inc’s meddling, has irreparably damaged the Arkham mythos. Rocksteady once had it all. Now, they’re a finger snap away from losing everything.

I 100% percent agree with everything you said. We told them that we didn't want this and that it was going to suck but they just wouldn't listen.
While Sweet Baby Inc and their handling of Batman in SSKTJL are certainly a factor in the failure of this game, I don't believe they deserve all the blame. There are so many other factors, such as the choice to make this game a live service shooter game, the gameplay reveals looking terrible, the UI filling up the screen with so much information, the fact that WB has tried so hard to push the Suicide Squad without them ever really catching on, and the fact that you were having to kill the Justice League as C-list characters (minus Harley who's become A-list somehow) instead of getting a game where you play as the Justice League. The choices from Rocksteady and WB are just as much to blame as Sweet Baby Inc's story choices. I had already decided I wouldn't waste my money on this game long before the leaks of Batman being shot in the head came out. That was just the nail in the coffin. That's my two cents anyway.
First of all Sweet Baby worked on just bios, henchman conversations, audio tapes, it's such a small harmless part of the game.
Second - the Suicide Squad deserves a game just as much as the Justice League, just because the Squad aren't huge characters doesn't make them less unique and interesting.
The Squad has all the potential in the world for an amazing one of a kind game - even though I like the final game, I don't love it.

@@chrisbryan7611 Sweet Baby's main job is a consulting firm that just checks up on and advises diversity content in games if the developer is uneasy about how they are portraying that group, Sweet Baby has never written cutscenes, story plot points ever.
Even if Sweet Baby did magically write Kill The Justice League, what harm did they do exactly, there is no forced diversity content in the game whatsoever, all of it feels perfectly normal and natural just like how it is in reality.

Yeah, that's why the Deadshot in this story is black even though he's been white since the conception of the Arkhamverse, but we just have to accept the white one is from another universe and that Batman never seemed to figure that out in the first place...yeah no forced diversity, got it. Plus the Poison Ivy reveal was poorly executed and the writing resorted to MAP jokes revolving around Ivy and Harley despite the fact those two were never a thing in the Arkhamverse. @@chrisbryan7611 Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League's Arkham games connections are hanging by a breaking thread, the pointless connections to Arkham games barely impacts or matters to the game at all and was just a idiotic misguided marketing tactic, the game really is and should be treated as a twisted bleak DC alternative universe similar to Marvel Zombies.
How does Deadshot being black largely impact his character at all, it barely matters, even if you treat him as Arkham game Deadshot, Arkham Deadshot is barely a character, he shows up in two side missions in City and Origins, Batman beats him straight away nearly as soon as he shows up onscreen, then he's gone forever for the rest of the of the two games.
Harley never hits on child Ivy, she is just very surprised that she is a child now, your mind must really be in a disgusting gutter to see anything sexual in their interactions, Harley literally just tries to remind Ivy of the affection that the two characters had for each other for years since Ivy's memory is erased.
Sweet Baby just looked over the script and cutscenes to give their advice on the diversity content already featured in them which barely impacts the game at all, they never wrote the story or 90 percent of the dialogue.
Another RUclipsr that I'm subscribed to commented on a video about the Suicide Squad game and rightfully placed the blame on Sweet Baby Inc but for some reason it caused the reviewer to go berserk against them. I won't say which RUclipsr it is but just a warning you might be in for some hateful comments.

What do you mean “if Rocksteady survives this”? Rocksteady is already dead. It’s little more than a walking corpse at this point. I’m willing to bet the same people working there now who were there at the start are a fraction of the people who were there back when the studio was in its prime. I bet most are new guys hired to replace all the ones who slowly left over the years. It’s Rocksteady in name only at this point.
