It should have been a Superman game, and at the end of the game, Clark seeks out bruce to start the justice league.
That would've genuinely been fantastic. Imagine a quest line where we as Superman have to track down this Bruce Wayne guy since we've got evidence the demon bat is definitely him and we have to convince him to come just a little bit more into the light again. Hell, perhaps this is pushing it but we could've specifically had a story beat where we convince the world the reason why Batman was revealed to be Bruce Wayne was a trick by Batman. He sent the brave mister Wayne in while he waited in the wings just in case things went sour. Then they blew up Wayne manor so Batman could continue his work and Bruce Wayne could get some peace and avoid the paparazzi.
Ikr he has suck a good amount of villains too that could be enough to make 2 or 3 games like zod, darkseid, doomsday, lex, bizzaro

And from what was implied from the cutscenes and audio logs, the League has established themselves in a short amount of time, but a good chunk of time enough to NOT make amateur mistakes like trusting a Kryptonian super A.I. with a discount Zod mindset floating around with a skull shaped space fortress.

Just because of the cryptic message left behind by Calendar Man of "He will return" is them grasping desperately to keep afloat, assuming this game survives long enough to make it to it's first season.
They had nine, NINE years to work on this game that no one wanted. And this is the best they've come up with.
Stop giving these sad poseurs that is the current Rocksteady any credit. They should've known better that trying to rope in the Arkhamverse fans that enjoyed and loved the previous games deserved a proper follow up. And I know blame also lies in executive interference by the DC and WB higher ups for greenlighting this money burning travesty.

There were lots of great options for expanding the Arkham-verse -- including a well-made Suicide Squad game that didn't involve killing the freaking Justice League and Batman.
They shouldn’t even be used on that sort of scale in my opinion. I prefer more covert government missions and infiltrations for informations for waller and stuff like that, not killing the justice league.
What's worst is that Brainaic is SUPERMANS VILLAIN he is supermans arch enemy besides Lex Luthor ( DC has to stop stealing his villains ) and he got duped into taking the League to the ship how narratively convenient.

Brainiac in particular is a bad superman enemy to use for a task force x game because he's one of the most dangerous villains in dc. He's the kind of character that could be used in the movies the way marvel did with thanos building up a big villain over years.

Seems like only Tim got hurt. Oracle wasn’t found by Brainiac Batman, Nightwing had no signs of entry in the batcave, Jason is god knows where (regular Batman doesn’t even know where he is), and Diana is basically magic clay molded by Zeus so she’ll probably be brought back.

Completely agree. Also, it does feel weird that it feels like they are missing games in between. They just throw away lines in the museum. At least in the Avengers, they show everything that happened in the parade. Nope. I legitimately feel bad for the people who paid the $70 for this. Because Arkham fans don’t deserve this. If I got it and pre-ordered it. I would try to get my bag and return this shit. Digital or not. This game is completely unacceptable.

My idea on how this could've worked is as follows: Batman asks the Suicide Squad for help, because he's not under mind control since HE DOESN'T HAVE POWERS.

I think a Batman Beyond, Teen Titans, or a Green Arrow game would’ve been cool. Maybe an epilogue sequel to Arkham Knight called Arkham Legacy. I imagine Arkham Legacy as an open world just like Arkham Knight but with a more expanded Gotham and maybe even introduce Blüdhaven into the map. The main characters are Nightwing, Robin, and Red Hood. The story will be inspired by Batman Battle For The Cowl. Maybe introduce Damien Wayne or Stephanie Brown into the story. You can switch between characters like you do in GTA V. Each of them have their own unique missions, abilities, and gadgets. There’s even team up missions too. There’s some boss fights like Bane, Clayface, Control Freak, Hush, Dollmaker, Copperhead, the main villain is Lady Shiva or maybe Designer.
All you needed to do is have batman sacrifice himself saving either the world or fuck it even him dying saving harley which would show how even if it's his enemy's he dosnt want them dead

I dont want Rocksteady making this game no more. Give the rights to the Justice League to HundredStars; the new studio started by both Rocksteady co-founders and over 100 veteran ex-Rocksteady employees.

I've been saying a very long time we should've gotten at least a superman game or a justice league game under og rocksteady because that would've been fantastic and personally for me would've been a great continuation of the arkhamverse, and if it meant this was the end of arkhamverse batman story with the unfortunate death of Kevin Conroy coming out of nowhere and he had to sacrifice himself to save the league to honor his best friends and family like tim drake robin nightwing and oracle I would've been fine with that because that would mean arkham batman would get a great sendoff and we can hear Kevin Conroy batman one more time before his passing at least in my opinion.
They could’ve started the game with an established team with Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, and Green Lantern. Had Brainiac invade with villains under mind control, Justice League defeats villains, Brainiac can discover the Bat Computer which Batman kept files on how to defeat the League which forces Bruce to come out of hiding to help take down the mind controlled league with the help of the Bat Family and Batman can make a deal with Waller to use the villains already defeated by the League which Waller would’ve made into the suicide squad when she learned that the League was mind controlled so that they can have a huge roster with the Justice League, Bat Family and Suicide Squad to defeat Brainiac.

I REALLY wanted an Arkham styled Superman game. Like how the Arkham games redeemed Batman in games it could’ve been an antithesis of Superman 64. Facing off against Superman’s rogues with Luthor and his T Rex robots and such. Braniac prolly as a major villain too without the mind control shit or how about Darlseid?

Suicide Squad: DOOMED
Main Squad members: Deathstroke, Metallo, Cheetah, Godspeed, Black Manta, Sinestro, Gizmo
Synopsis: The suicide squad is tasked with eliminating the legion on Doom who've managed to defeat and capture the justice league after having allied with Brainiac.
Gameplay: Imagine essentially a cross between Sly 2 Band of thieves, Arkham Knight and Spider-Man 2(PS5). You can switch between the characters by returning to your hideout/base and everyone has different missions to complete. Some are joint missions while others are solo.
This sounds cool but bro none of the villains u wrote have ever been on the suicide squad before,it doesnt make sense that godspeed would be with the suicide squad

All Superman needs is enemies that are strong enough to hurt him, and a meter for saving people. The hardest levels would combine both of these elements. Give him free flight ,as well as super auto flight to distresses in his adventuring mode. So you can either use a little bit of finesse if it's a hostage situation, or land right in front of the bad guys if it's a shootout. Possibly even a public image meter, murdering human villains and such get big negatives.

In all Superman media and his interaction with the JL Wonder Woman calls him Kal El they NEVER ever call him Kal El like that only Martian Manhunter and Diana call him by that name in the league everyone else calls him Clark period.

Another problem with this game is besides Arkham Batman (who we've connected with over previous games), we don't know the rest of Justice League and what they've been through in the Arkhamverse. So when they die, it doesnt hit that hard.

I think having a story where Batman is finally able to trust others, feeling accepted, and having a strong sense that he’s finally where he should be. To only then have him bring down those individuals that helped him out of the dark.
Could have had each of the Justice league members say how they just felt bad for him, while they are under mind control would have been great. To only show them why he’s the greatest superhero among gods.
To then only have Batman die at the end, and saying that he has no regrets.

I remember when I was a kid, without a next-gen console, only able to read about the Arkham games or watch videos. After hearing about the first two Batman Arkham games, they announced a game called Injustice and All I had to go by were the images I saw. I was thinking, "wow, is this the game after Arkham City? They're going to give the treatment they gave to Batman, that I've heard so much about, to the rest of the Justice League?"
Of course after that I found out it was a fighting game about an evil Superman killing the Justice League. 😢
If you want to make a continuation of the arkhamverse they could've make a batman beyond game with one of the robins as the man in the chair

7:52 Lex Luthor's definition of toxic masculinity is so stupid, toxic masculinity isn't 'men bad' but that traits like being overly competitive, suppression of emotions other than rage or lust, recklessness, and other traits. A world without men, could still have toxic masculinity, just not the same way. And toxic femininity also exists as well, granted it's nowhere near as obvious.
Unfortunately Rocksteady basically ignore Arkham Origins. He was trying to reject help from his allies the entire time in Arkham Knight despite them always insisting. It's what got Robin taken actually.
Some things that I've come to learn since this game came out is that most of the team who worked on the original Arkham games have pretty much all but left Rocksteady: it's only the same company in name alone.
Second is that there was a company named Sweet Baby Inc who helped write the game: I suggest looking them up
Batman usually always has final say in strategic situations. The League would have never went to Braniacs Ship and Bruce would have just stayed behind and refused to go on board.
The premise of this game would've been more better if it was a planned Titans game with Nightwing already established the Titans and he along with Tim, and Barbara and the Titans stopped Brainiac and save the League and maybe put the Suicide Squad just to opposed the Titans who are sent in to kill the League than save them.

They could have made a Batman game in between Origins and Asylum, a Superman game, A Flash game, Wonder Woman game, a Green Lantern game, a Bat Family game, or a Justice League game. So many ways to continue the Arkham-verse. But no, they were like; "lets make a suicide squad game that's a boring live service looter shooter where you kill all the the characters you'd rather play as".

That's the best way I can describe him. It feels like he was written by people who don't actually understand the character--like every character in this game.
i really thought that before they revealed batman he would take the role of being the only one not mind controlled and basically be the suicide squads alfred and show them how to defeat the justice league
I've seen this idea suggested a few times, but if we were to have a game where we play as villains to kill the Justice League... why not just make it a Legion of Doom game?
Think about it, Luther, Cheetah, Sinestro, Gorilla Grodd (or Captain Cold if you prefer), and a resurrected joker band together to finally kill the Justice League.
Then you can expand the roster with characters like Deathstroke, Black Manta, and if Martian Manhunter is a member of the League (as he should), bring in Ma'alefa'ak. For those unaware, he's Jonn Jonnes brother from Mars, who has the same powers as him, telapathy and shape-shifting, but is completely immune to fire.
The Hall of Doom acts like the hall of Justice from KTJL, With Mercy Graves acting similarly to Oracle from Arkham, Riddler has a role (he was one of the original 13 members of the legion) bring in Toyman as someone who can upgrade your weapons and gadgets etc.
Then, with DLC's, you could maybe bring in some new members, Giganta, Metallo, Bizarro, Circe, Reverse-Flash, and add in more Justice Leaguers for us to fight.
Don't revive Joker, just use Bane or Hush (a better one than Rocksteady did)since they can pose a physical and strategic threat to Batman

In the DC universe batman's mind and will is strong enough to break through brainiacs mind control so even if brainiac did manage to control batman he would eventually break through his control this isn't the only inaccuracy there was one with green lantern and his ring also they could've just let the player choose which members to kill and which to spare like a telltale game
Late in the Game when we see Supes kill WW, They topple over a Statue of Hawkgirl…Which is very strange imo.
Are there more JL members they forgot to mention or is it just a weird easter egg? Also I doubt only 5 people would need a giant Space orbiting Watchtower. Last thing, The JL in this only mention protecting Metropolis like it’s the only city there. What about Gotham or Starcity?

The game would be infinitely playable if you could start as one character on the SS or JL and have to decide to save or kill the other characters. The amount of possible outcomes is insane-but we got this.
The reason why they make Superman an idiot is because they can’t think of a good way for Superman to be defeated or they’re the people that think “Superman boring” and dislike him.
The writers for this game are definitely the people that don’t understand actual heroes. They’re the people that hate altruistic characters because they do NOT understand them. They’re the people that think heroes should be horrible kill happy monsters and probably unioronically think that the Suicide Squad movie is a “Hero” movie or that the Punisher is a hero.
Just think real quick, this game could have been a Superman game where after Knightfall Clark Kent (who'd been inspired by Batman to step out of the shadows and become Superman) decides to look into rumours of Bruce Wayne potentially faking his death and still being alive and active out there. So he goes to Gotham and Bluhaven and slowly meet the remaining batfamily who are all very tight-lipped about Bruce Wayne other than the fact he's dead.
Probably have it so Tim/Robin is the first one you meet who teaches you stealth and distraction as well as giving you detective vision since Gotham has too much lead for you to see through in most buildings. Basically teaching you interrogation (which Supes was too soft on, so he has to be good cop) and gameplay basics as well as giving you the lead for Nightwing as he knew Bruce best.
Meeting Nightwing is where the game starts properly. And fear toxin attacks start springing up in game, where a thick fog hangs in random neighbourhoods during the nights and if you stay there too long you get attacked by shadowy unkillable monsters. Some shouting Alien slurs or preying on insecurities about chasing ghosts instead of saving peoples lives. Let's say Toyman has followed you to Gotham, trying to prove he's the better mind than Riddler. And because it's fun. Nightwing shows up to help you and laugh at them with a "girls, girls, you're both pretty!" He can be the one who teaches you advanced aerial takedowns and maneuvers as well as helping you listen into enemy chatter by showing you the frequency which let's you listen in yourself for messages transmitted along it. He swears up and down that Bruce and Alfred are dead. What a shame, really sucks but life goes on. From Tim's lesson in interrogation you can tell he's lying. Also you never mentioned Alfred. You help out on a few more optional missions with him if you want before Bloodsport arrives to take over from Deathstroke since the Bat arrested him and he vanished (Probably into the Suicide Squad).
While fighting him you first encounter Red hood. He won't even speak to you just leads you on a chase until he gets fed up and wounds a passerby to distract you so he can escape.
Then you have to try get his attention by attacking the weapon and drug trade in Gotham only for him to attack you with kryptonite energy weapons bought and stole from Luthor (introducing a new weapon type in game that do serious damage). Shifting tactics to take out Red Hood's allies and enemies lures in increasing fear toxin visions. They're starting to become bat shaped and telling you to leave Gotham, you're only wasting time and disrupting the balance of their underworld. Telling you you're going to die.
Finally Red hood starts working with you if only to use your powers for his own benefits. Here you get basically free reign to go ham using all of Superman's powers in big explosive battles or try to play stealth using speed and aerial takedowns while Jason fights through the last remaining gangs in Gotham until Amazo shows up and you've got an extremely difficult boss fight. Where you're against someone with all the same powers as you but none of the finess so you have to use all the skills you learned in game and maybe even call on some of the bat boys to fight him off. When you do then Jason finally tells you that Batman is alive, and where he and Alfred are in hiding since all of his men who enter these areas always come out with their heads scrambled, babbling about monsters and Demon's.
Then the final 3 confrontations with Batman you can be a bitch of a game dev and lock behind catching all side criminals in Gotham before you go to the first safe house. The final confrontations (and fear toxin segments) play like hellblade, game basically turns into a horror.
First House you have none of your powers, or even detective vision/coms to the batfamily as you sneak past trap after trap as you destroy the vents pumping in Fear Toxin until you finally find a withered old Batman, too old and injured to move. He scolds you for wasting your time. For being nothing without your powers. For expecting more out of a simple human, when a God like inhuman creature like him should have known better. This wasn't a game for the bat, he had real bravery. He took his life in his hands every night while you hid away or only showed up when it was convenient for you. Trying to interrogate this Batman makes him disappear and you have to evacuate the building before the safe house is blown up.
Second house, you're dragged in the door and thrown into the dark where the Batman is stalking you. All the time taunting you as you destroy any potential hiding spaces or vantage points along with the vents pumping in Fear Toxin. This Batman parrots all those terrible takes about Batman being the real man, while Bruce Wayne was the mask, that he only acted as Batman for the thrill of it, taking in young traumatised children who needed a father figure to make them into weapons. Finally fighting this Batman leads to him disappearing too and the house being blown up until you finally reach the last safe house.
This one is already different because there are no vents and two figures inside it. One with a kryptonite Canon, the other another demon Batman. They work together where the Canon attacks to disrupt your combos, and the Batman gets way more brutal and aggressive when the Canon is reloading or if you get too close to it. This one is saying about how he stopped fighting because he didn't care anymore. Why should he? The entire city and legal system turned on him once his name got out there. He lost his home, his company, his family legacy and his children's respect in one night. Gotham only ever took from him, he's finished with it. Finally defeating this Batman the weapon he was trying to stab you with is revealed to be a kryptonite batarang coated with fear toxin antidote and a really beaten up looking Batman finally speaks to you saying he never stopped caring and he never stopped protecting Gotham. And that he admires how hard you worked to get to him, even getting his kids to talk to each other again.
The game could end implying that they'd work together from then on, looking for other people to recruit.
Maybe even get a worlds Finest DLC where you get to play as Batman or Superman coordinating strategies to work best in the field and bantering. If you play as Batman you're getting Superman to rush in as a distraction and attack like in the Arkham series alternating takedowns. As Superman you have to identify a target area and route for Batman to take while you take out and distract the bad guys.

We have chapters for the four heroes (Superman, batman, WW, and the Flash) to see their perspective of the attack before assembling and in a way acts a tutorial system before getting into the justice league chapter.
We get introduced to the switch character mechanic (single player)
The game should also be much more of an open world as Arkham Knight
They had a goldmine. More single player story driven action.
Could have made JL game, could have made Batman makes Contingency plan for this Brainwashed Justice League. Could have used same Arkham bones to have Batman investigate each member, fight Captain Cold/Mr Freeze to get tech to then boss fight and stop/save Flash. Then Sinestro/Scarecrow fight for fear device to boss fight and save Green Lantern, Lex for kryptonite to save Superman, etc for Wonder Woman. Then in surprise 3rd act you play ad some of Justice League.
Another Batman game then a Superman JL game would have sold great.

Themyscira level of tech ranges greatly from writer to writer. I think the Snyderverse made it just like ancient Greece the island and under Morrison they took from the older age of comics where Themyscira is vastly similar to Wakanda. They got stuff like giant kangaroos as pets, ships that can fly, they have a device that produces a purple light that can heal ailments and wounds, it's a technological marvel it's why it's also called Paradise Island. I think the common misconception is it's all shields and swords because that's strangely what they push onto Diana without the more miraculous stuff from her home.
If you are going for comparisons Diana really could be considered like their T'Chala in a lot of ways.

If they wanted to make a suicide squad game they could've adapted some of the great stories from the comics but no they have to destroy the arkhamverse
To be honest, if they wanted to keep evil batman, they shoulda gave him a better death and boss battle, like seriously they coulda done a reverse type of an arkham boss battle, where we're the villains shoes and we have to keep eyes out for his gadgets that are being placed around and even give a counter mechanic to his sneak attack take down. Hell, they could've done what they did for past arkham bosses like mr.freeze, where he learns your playstyle and adapts, closing off areas you traversed most or reading off the same attacks you spam

It’s very obvious tbf people just overreacting it’s a waste of money game (pls don’t buy it so the next DC game is not live service) but people are acting like someone pitched the idea “what if we kill Batman from our successful series and then that’s the end of the story”. And then everyone was like “great idea.” Plus WB would never agree to it, because it prevents future opportunities to milk fans so there’s obviously more but the way they’re releasing it is dumb because even if they make the story good after the expansions it’s too late people will be picking it up discounted so it’s just poor marketing/business.
It's also possible they just say "oops retconned" and erase the events of this game. Fingers crossed that happens.

I'm telling ya'll it should've been Teen Titans Vs The Justice League. Imagine how fun it could've been playing as kid flash chasing evil Barry down the street with CC2 like quick time events. Or playing as Nightwing fighting Batman in like a 2D format, kinda like how Kratos fought Zeus in God of War. I would've made the Suicide Squad a side missions for the player.
I'm not against multiplayer. I miss 2 player games. A justice league game with the option to play as other characters throughout the game would be good and people want that back.

Martian Manhunter’s phasing and invisibility would be amazing in combat
The Flash would literally have the coolest combat if they did it properly using barrages in his attacks
Aqua Man if you make him play like a Kratos (not as powerful obviously) would be sooooo fucking cool
Green Lantern is a character where he could be very complicated to do but if they keep it simple and focus on the constructs he makes it would be sick

And I’m not talking about the Suicide Squad. I mean the citizens. The ring isn’t like the Red Lantern Corps which allows bloodshed. The Green Lantern ring should stop Jon from that. Probably even leave Jon if I remember correctly the way the ring works.

I don’t want the JL to die but if you want the narrative that the JL is entirely dead, then having an unbrainwashed John fight against Brainiac is a better idea so it provides a bit more actuality to lore instead of the refusal to keep to the lore of a Lantern Ring.

It would make a lot sense if he figured that Flash or Wonder Woman would be the ones to resist brain washing and entrust them with some sort of anti-mind control device and force it onto a mind controlled Bruce. Flash would have been too fast for Brainiac, WW has…uh…
Then Bruce is able to think with WW and Flash on ways to stop the Justice League. Yeah they’re still pretty fresh but Batman would 99% likely already figured out everyone’s weakness, their identity, their past, relatives, and their blood type within a week. Maybe less.
Imagine: Flash and WW get Bruce to come to his senses, they start with the weakest link to the JL that would pose the weakest threat and work up to Superman, likely the greatest threat. They would likely have to put aside their mindset of “We can’t hurt our friends. No matter how brainwashed.” To “We have to do what we can to help Clark resist the mind control.” If Waller’s Suicide Squad helps out the that’s fine. But the JL is most likely the only people to stop the JL.
