    Thank you. HOWEVER, I have a question: the upper small black weight, where exactly do I read it? At the left side or at the right side that covers the scale?

    • @VivoPhys
      @VivoPhys  3 года назад +1

      Hi Gixellia. On this scale it is the left side where the weight has a small point.

    Shouldn’t it float in the middle at 0 on both beams?

    • @VivoPhys
      @VivoPhys  9 месяцев назад

      Hi @FPChris. If you look closely sometimes the scale is unbalanced going up and sometimes down in this video prior to adding weight on the foot platform. I think I just didn't have the weights lined up with the 0 perfectly, but it might have been slightly out of calibration too. Sorry, I made this video a long time ago. So I am not sure what the issue was, but yes it should be balanced at 0 with nothing on the foot platform.

    Why do use these vs electrical scale?

    • @VivoPhys
      @VivoPhys  2 года назад

      It's a relatively inexpensive method that can be calibrated without sending it out to the company.

    Is this a balance scale?

    • @VivoPhys
      @VivoPhys  3 года назад

      I've never thought about it before, but I guess it would be considered a type of balance.

    Do you have exact the same model which can scale in kg(metric unit or SI unit)?

    • @VivoPhys
      @VivoPhys  2 года назад +1

      Hi 修理固成. This scale does both metric on bottom and imperial system on top of each level.

    • @VivoPhys
      @VivoPhys  9 месяцев назад

      Hi @siddysiddy5271. I wont be able to make this any time soon, but the only real difference is that you look at the lower black scale and make sure the weights slide into the notches that correspond to that scale.

    I don't like this scale. Too complicated for me. It should be made more simple

    • @VivoPhys
      @VivoPhys  9 месяцев назад

      Hi @friedice6535. Digital scales are simpler, but can be less accurate if they are not well calibrated.

    And then they invented electricity

    • @VivoPhys
      @VivoPhys  11 месяцев назад

      Agreed, but most electric scales cannot be calibrated by the user and eventually lose calibration.
