    Is a tape measurer an accurate way of measuring yourself from home? I measure 5’5 1/2 on a tape measurer, and I want to know if it’s my actual height, or if I’m shorter or taller than that. Great video btw (:

    • @AlliedHealthToolsLLC
      @AlliedHealthToolsLLC  4 года назад +2

      Generally, an inch will be an inch no matter the tool. Accuracy mainly comes from proper technique. Having your height taken at the doctor’s office is likely more accurate than doing it at home on your own. A trained professional has tools/equipment designed specifically for taking height and can help you adjust your body, head position, etc. as needed for accurate measurement. Hope this helps! Thank you for your feedback.

    how did you get 4 out of 55 inches? confused......

    • @AlliedHealthToolsLLC
      @AlliedHealthToolsLLC  10 лет назад +1

      I see that you are referring to the example given at the 8:17 mark. For this, determine the highest number of feet you can go up to without passing 55 inches. If 4 feet equals 48 inches and 5 feet equals 60 inches, then 4 feet is the highest number of feet that can be used without going above 55 inches. From, there determine how many inches are left over (55 inches - 48 inches = 7 inches). With this explanation in mind, review the video from the 6:57 mark and onward, and see if you have a better understanding of this concept. Hope this helps.
