i was already freaking out, because of the Ice on the wing before take off. !! till i saw the de-icing ground staff. Great video.
Living in southern California I've never seen a de-icing before! Awesome video! Thank you for uploading.
Now, the A330-300 with those Rolls-Royce engines are powerful enough, but with TOGA! I can only imagine how powerful that takeoff was! I wish there were more TOGA videos on youtube, TOGA isn't used unless it has to be used! Liked!
UNITED38Heavy Thanks Man! That flight went to ORD, so we were still pretty heavy on departure, but youre right, its a rather rare procedure and for all of us who love them engines roar and scream, its a extra bonus :) Have a great day my friend! dom
Not a pilot but isnt TOGA used for normal takeoff?
@@bobbrown8661 Normally FLEX is used, TOGA is basically full power. Google it and you'll find out more
@@bobbrown8661 TOGA power is used in various situations, such as short runway, aircraft near maximum take off weight, etc. When possible a derated thrust setting is used because it causes less wear and tear on the engines.
I enjoy your videos; lots of variation. I can spend as much time in the cockpit as I like!
Just awesome dom. Amazing
I wish it snowed here in Toronto, its freaking +16 degrease! Awesome video , loved the de-icing!
this is new for me...ground deicing! Good learning video
Huge Thanks for the Video I love it !! It's the Best free Flight video vid ever !!
Outstanding!! I love this cockpit view!
Great video, the part of deicing is excellent!
Takeoff / Go-around mode, poor words ---> maximum power. :)
Andrea Cacicia it's not TooGas ??
TO/GA isn't always the absolute maximum power.
Great video, Dom. I subscribed to your channel a few days ago and I don't regret it. Nice quality overall.
Brilliant
Thanks for the PFD view Dom ! :)
Great video!
thats a nice video haha from snowy Switzerland to ,what is now, summer in chicago lol. nice and powerful takeoff!
Great vid! Congrats...
One snowy takeoff!
great video, sir :)
@LufthansaA343 TOGA is the absolute full power the engines can perform at. Usually crews will use a FLEX temp which is a much lower thrust setting and better for the engines usually becuase they're quite light and have a lot of runway. TOGA may be used for reason's such as: weather, weight or even ATC may request it, and of course a go around.
Great vid, Dom. I was on an A321 from LHR last year which performed at TOGA. Never felt such force on T/O!
FWIW, ATC does not get involved with flight ops specs. They assign runways, but don't tell flight crews : "We need max today guys!". That is handled by airlines' dispatching department using sophisticated performance computers based on environmental factors and W&B. In the old days flight crews would be a bit more involved there, now its done with ACARS uplink or pre-flight consultation with dispatch. Most airlines have fancy tablets now and unless they need a specific update from dispatch HQ, this is all calculated pre-flight (takeoff). The most ATC will do with flight ops other than assigned speed/alt during flight is telling you to get your ass off the runway quickly on landing rollout for traffic in trail, or to "go direct to the numbers" on visual circling approaches. That's about as much as they intervene. How airlines and crews perform the performance aspect of actual T/O and LDG though is entirely up to their internal requirements as well as those specified by the manufacturer. ATC just needs a rudimentary understanding of performance between various types of aircraft to assist them with spacing, runway assignments and handling an airspace.
beautiful !
An excellent video...Keep up the great work
very intresting to see on the radar how it flies from the first intercept point to the next waypoint.
great video.
@JRSchiphol That would be the aircraft itself. Airbus A330,340 and 380 families all are equipped with this.
@mahoolywazit Yes. It's De-frosting
Not A333 A330-300 * but dont worry everyone makes mistakes 😃❤️❤️
I like your sense of humour Sir. Best regards, thank you for watching 👍😎
Toga, toga, toga !!!!
Hello Dominic , thanks fot this TOGA takeoff its very impressive under the snow to takeoff and the sound is incredible when the thrust is on CLB the different noise was amazing .. whats happen during the takeiff a big noise and a strong vibration ? the weels during Gear UP ? ..cheers JMF
please activate video stabilization.. it's impossible to watch as is.
I presume TOGA is used here to reduce the accelerate stop distance due to the poor braking conditions?
sounds reasonable
Gorbaz The Dragon No don't listen to them. TO/GA is "full throttle. You apply TO/GA thrust setting during take off (to) and go around (ga) (go around is when you stop the landing procedure and go up again, then after you attempt another landing) so to ga is take off and go around power
You can also use flex thrust (=derated), TOGA is maximum power
Sumire Akira oui😉vous avez quel âge? Un rapport avec l'aviation ? Moi j'en ai 14
Sumire Akira donc tu as fait des études pour faire ingénieur en aéronautique correct?
great video ! what is so special about a TOGA takeoff though? Thanks
I miss seeing that the track had not melted ice jajaajajaaj
As you enter the cab stopped?
Very cool! What is your profession? Are you an engineer?
if the de-icing truck freezes in its parking lot, who will de-ice the frozen de-icer?
Definitely take off with these weather conditions should not be anything nice to hand the danger and need for the engines.
What are the red sticks on the de-icers? Bumpers just in case?
I remember the first time I used a camera too!
We have a comedian here!
@fejic Propylene glycol (deicing fluid)
Are you pilot or flight attendant ?
is it really that bumpy
R uu a 2nd first officer
hey dude
how much ICE was there in the wings?
how long did the plane stand there?
claaser81
What said runway 32 at: 3:52 ??
JRSchiphol The RAAS (Runway Advisory and Alert System)
@FilRuss101 TO/GA: Takeoff Go-around
Do pilots use TOGA to escape wind shear and things in that category?
Nathan Robert yes
What is that brownish thing they spray on the wings? salt??
fejic Salt is never used in aviation, Not even to free the ground. In this case, they use Hot water, mixed with glycol.
How did you get permission to visit cockpit????
Malindu Nawarathne he's a captain for Swiss
What "Toga" Means
HarlemPetes09 Take off/Go around thrust
Why was it so shaky?
because cabin crew were doing booty shake back there
Is the fuel on an Airbus A330-200 marked in pounds or kilograms?
It depends on the airline. Airlines can choose whether they want it in lbs or kgs.
US carriers = LB
Rest of the world = KG
Basically
nah.... most airlines use LBs
No they use KG dumbfuck. Only US airlines uses lbs.
