@@alexandernuhu3583 I considered putting a output in the side, but getting a good seal in the round barrel is difficult. Then putting it in the bottom makes the base more complicated. If I was to make one again I would put it in the bottom of the barrel. Or if I were making it in a square IBC in one of the flat sides.
Hello, why didn't you place the outlet valve on the bottom of the digester in first place? Rather than using the siphon effect you could have directly emptied it from a valve placed at the bottom right?
Good question. The digesters designs I followed originally didn't have them, so I didn't include one. I am working on my newer design which includes an outlet at the bottom and bigger input pipe etc. Although, to be honest the siphon worked pretty well, its just a bit annoying to set up
Don't a lot over the summer as I kind of neglected it when I was building the strawbale shed. Since then I've got it going but not as well as I'd like. Recently added 50ltrs of cow manure and am back focused on it so hopefully I'll see some real progress soon
Nothing in significant quantities. I de-commissioned it over winter and have now made some changes to the digester and its housing. Hoping to get it up and running this month.
@@andrewdarby8827 Yeah the potential is there for sure. Those commercial ones are crazy cool. Yeah, I'm pretty sure I over fed it initially and it acidified

@@GetMeOffGrid_ I've seen some commercially made ones that work great but the cost is outstanding, do you think the Ph stopped the digestion?
