I think it turned out perfectly. Thanks for not making too much fun of me haha, because I was definitely a new rider. I definitely hope to have another within the next year or so.
I'm a new rider and going with the 300,..no plans to move up,..a 300 will be enough for me! I don't need or want a super "go fast" 150 mph motorcycle! I've been told NOT to start on a 300,but start on 650 or up instead. I can't agree with that,..especially for a new inexperienced rider. My own brother has told me I should start out on a Harley! That ain't happening! I'm 52,...going on 53,and never been on a motorcycle at all except as a passenger. Once again,...300 will be plenty for me,and no need to move up! I don't see myself getting bored on the 300 at all!
NorfolkSouthern1068 I just bought my first motorcycle, a 2014 Ninja 300. It took literally less than 10 or 15 minutes to get the hang of it. It was surprisingly easy. The biggest obstacle I had to overcome was not the learning to ride itself, but the fear I would mess up and drop a perfect condition bike. I've been riding 20 minutes a day for the last 3 days, and I'm feeling pretty good about it. I'm by no means ready to hit the twisties but I could ride around my town all day and in traffic and be fine. It really is a easy and super fun bike to learn on. I highly recommend it as a beginner bike or even a bike to keep for years. It's got just the right amount of power. Not too slow and not crazy fast. I am loving it!
E.A. Hawley you should make a youtube channel about your experience as an older new rider, I think it would be interesting and would help people who have never ridden before open up to the idea of riding in their 50s
NorfolkSouthern1068 ni ja 650 is a perfect bike parallel twins so it wont come up as easy and is alot faster and wont get bored. But bike will forgive you to some what
Wanted to start on a Ninja 300, but opportunity you cannot turn down came, and so I got 250 for dirty cheap instead. Could not be happier. Might be happier on a 300, but my bank account would certainly not be as happy as it is now. 250 is certainly slower than 300. 300 is newer bike with about 30% more power and same weight, so it better be. Cuts through traffic no problem, handles highway speeds with little to no effort, and screams like a bitch with a stick up the ass at 12.000k RPM on WOT. Has really good engine braking which saves brakes considerably, and takes literally no fuel, and is still attractive enough to get you some attention! It is brilliant starter bike regardless what people say. Has no tendency to kill you every time you twist the throttle either, starts every time on a turn of the crank. Hot or cold. Whoever says it is not fast enough is a NOOB with poor driving skills...
@School acount I have a 2005 Ninja 250. It does highway fine, cruising at 70 puts it at around 7k rpm (redline = 13k) in 6th gear. It ain't exactly a speed demon, but you can cruise 70 and do 80 comfortably enough.
@School acount I also paid $1500 for mine, all good to go. It's my first bike, it corners super well, it has plenty enough power for the road, it's dirt cheap to insure. I personally love it. And if you get it, decide after a bit you want a little more, you can easily sell for what you paid for (at least with the older models like mine) and put that towards your upgrade
The camera should have been on the 250 on the race, I wanted to see how quick the 300 pulled away from the 250. However, thanks for the vid. I have a pumped up 250, but interested in the 300 for the F.I.
my first bike is a 2016 ninja 300 and needless to say I'm already bored on it but I love the shit out of it, I plan on paying it off just to sell to my brother and get a faster one good beginner bike tho
I've got the same 2009 250 special edition as your friend. I've got a total of $755 dollars in the whole bike. I'm partial to it but I would like the 300 mainly for the fuel injection. I like the styling on both.
Red lining is all and all, not that bad. Unless you're holding it there, it doesn't do any significant damage for even a daily driver to even notice. If you're putting close to a hundred thousand miles, I'd say these engines will last ya. Given you do regular maintenance of course.
Hey! I thought that looked familiar. You literally drove over all my favorite spots in Springfield. I live right up the road. Great video, man! When I get a Ninja 300, i'll have to keep an eye out for you guys. I gotta subscribe now...
first bike- malaguti olmpique 50cc twin pipes clipons worlds fastest 50cc in its day (1976 ) 65mph 70 on a good day , way more fun than should be allowed
my first bike was a HMC HAZE 50cc, yes i know its a mower, but i couldnt wait till i was 17 to get a 125, i was to excited, and do i wish i got another one, yes, because the seller lied to me completely, and ive spent the past 2/3 months repairing it, and im getting either a honda or a yamaha next year 125cc, love the video, keep up the work
i got a ninja 250 a week before my birthday i crash because i was driving by the mts. and there was rock on the street i was driving on going about 45 and crash turning almost fall into a big ass ditch and i still havent fixed my bike it sucks but i loved it and hope to fix it soon but i wanted a 300 good thing i didnt i would be even more to fix i like this video alot tho
I’m a brand new rider and I don’t have any experience, im only 18 and I’m stuck choosing between the two. Any suggestions or advice? I wanna stay safe but still have fun and learn the fundamentals
reggie Fields how much miles is on there for 2 k? my is 2014 300cc special edition only 1688 miles paid 3k does not travel. only use it in city if I was traveling like u guys in this video I would go w 650cc not a 600
Not sure if it was you or not but i think i saw you near the Battlefield Mall a few weeks ago because the person i saw had the same black bike, black helmet and go pro set up on the helmet lool
I come to see the comparison.. not to see anyone get hurt tare a bike up is sad.. I bought a tore up bike to put it back together. It broke my heart to see it look like that.
I think the new ninja 400 is perfect for beginners and it will last them longer as they get better i have rode one and they are not bad speed wise much faster than the 250 double the power
I like the 400 but I do not initially like the smaller gas tank... haven’t rode one yet. I don’t feel that the bike needed to be lighter. ABS is good and probably worth it
My family does riding trips and I wanted a bike for next time we go which is in June and I need to earn enough money so I was going with the 250 but it looks like the 300 is a lot worth the power and looks
It's either gonna be this bike or an iron 883 tbh lol i find the better gas mileage on the ninja 300 to be more appealing, so i guess my fatass has to get in shape
You'll be fine bro. It might not be the most comfortable but you can ride the 300 fine. The 300's max weight is 375, so you'll be fine as long as you don't carry a passenger. I seen this dude over 400 on a fucking Grom. Get the bike, bro. You'll be fine.
OH noooo Lol definitely not going the electric grom route. Little update tho for everyone in this thread: Found out i'm going to be a dad lol so my motorcycle hobby ended before it even had a chance to begin.
Charles Allen Same thing as breaking into new (tight) clothes when you first buy it. You know, at first it's pretty uncomfortable and then after a while, you get used to it. I'd say same for the bike, at first you don't find your best sitting position, the gear shifting etc. And then you get used to it after a while. Therefore, BROKE into it. P.s: This is coming from a guy who never rode nor touched a bike, ever :D
Feysal Mohamed lol well I was asking because I'm getting a ninja 250 tomorrow and once I heard that I was kinda just wondering what he meant and how I could break into it lol. but thanks a lot. its really appreciated.
Mine was a XT500 Yamaha on road off road with 100 mph gearing Im lucky to be alive. - 250 feels more like a 125 dirtbike when I ride it. Anyways I think they are under powered for Highway but great for the city
I started out 3 months ago having never rode a street bike on a 929 and never looked back. Driving it home from the guy I bought it from was a little hairy, but after the first day it was all good. Glad I went with the CCs I did. Now it feels slow, and wouldn't mind checking out a busa or 14 zx.
We need to upgrade our license, our skills to go for 600's... 600's prices isn't affordable for majority people here in Malaysia... That's why some country still going for 250's for starter bike...
Put stickers on the 250 and you'll be able to beat a Ninja ZX 10.
You came for 4:53
Not all heroes wear capes
No, u came for 9:44
No sir, as a fellow rider, i dont wanto see any rider fall of his/her bike. I commend your buddy for being safe as well.
Ride safe friends.
I had an AWESOME time Matt! Glad we had a day to do this and hope to do more in the future.
I was laughing so hard when I was editing this video. It is one of my favorites. It was a great ride, and I hope you get another bike
I think it turned out perfectly. Thanks for not making too much fun of me haha, because I was definitely a new rider. I definitely hope to have another within the next year or so.
Well when you get a camera with your motorcycle next year, you can catch me redlining and honking all the time lol
Hahaha! Sounds like a plan.
I'm a new rider and going with the 300,..no plans to move up,..a 300 will be enough for me! I don't need or want a super "go fast" 150 mph motorcycle! Mat Milo I'm in my 30s. I think you meant your reply for the OP, not me.
NorfolkSouthern1068 ni ja 650 is a perfect bike parallel twins so it wont come up as easy and is alot faster and wont get bored. But bike will forgive you to some what
I started on a 700. Not bad. It was fun.
I WAS RANDOMLY WATCHING THIS THEN I REALIZED IT WAS FILMED IN SPRINGFIELD MO AFTER ABOUT 10 MINUTES... LOL I WAS LIKE HEY I GO TO THAT EXACT CAR WASH
LOL
SAME HERE, I recognized it after u saw Coulvers and Home Depot right next to each other
Hey are you PC bro?!? (South Park ref)

The 250 is a great bike. I had one for a year. Personally, I would get a 300 and stay with it. They're a ton of fun.
your buddies inability to launch a ninja 250 is pretty funny
Bruh i be straight red lining off the line for kicks.
I'm getting a 250 Ninja same exact one tomorrow first-time Rider
Watching videos convincing myself to buy a Ninja 250 to learn on.... then the Abarth pulls up. I drive an Abarth. It's a sign. Guess i'll buy one...
my first bike is a 2016 ninja 300 and needless to say I'm already bored on it but I love the shit out of it, I plan on paying it off just to sell to my brother and get a faster one good beginner bike tho
Did you?
My first bike is gonna be a 2016 Ninja 300
I bought one back in November I love the thing man!
I've got the same 2009 250 special edition as your friend. I've got a total of $755 dollars in the whole bike. I'm partial to it but I would like the 300 mainly for the fuel injection. I like the styling on both.
Good points for sure. I have always been spoiled and had two bikes with fuel injection
The 2007 ninja looks so much better than the new body styles. Like the 90's retro look vs the transformers look
I agree! I want to get one of those!
You get asked if you carry, in Canada..."fuck no man. I only smoke a joint at the end of the day."
Dude you in Springfield?? Nice to see a local channel! I’m just now lookin into buying my first bike. Much support bro!
Thx dude
haha "its my wifes" good thing to tell everyone :P
right i heard that too
I found a 2015 ninja300. 900 bucks.. the cheapest 250 was 1800..
Red lining is all and all, not that bad. Unless you're holding it there, it doesn't do any significant damage for even a daily driver to even notice. If you're putting close to a hundred thousand miles, I'd say these engines will last ya. Given you do regular maintenance of course.

Bro I want a 250 my self my friend got me into bikes and now I've been lookin up video about em
I think the new ninja 400 is perfect for beginners and it will last them longer as they get better i have rode one and they are not bad speed wise much faster than the 250 double the power
Kawasaki Only makes 400 and 650 now for small bikes in us I ride a 250 .09
Hey man do you recommend abs? Also what do you think about the new 400?
I like the 400 but I do not initially like the smaller gas tank... haven’t rode one yet. I don’t feel that the bike needed to be lighter. ABS is good and probably worth it
PAYDAYSWAGGER dude can you please do a 400 review, test ride one, buy one, something! That would be epic.
My family does riding trips and I wanted a bike for next time we go which is in June and I need to earn enough money so I was going with the 250 but it looks like the 300 is a lot worth the power and looks
+Gingy Josh for sure
from where i live (las vegas) 250 goes around $2000 and 300 goes for around $2800
When you said “you sick fucks just want to see my buddy crash” I felt that...
Dont be arogant bro
does the 300's insurance cost a lot more than the 250?
+Ian Wong not much. It's pretty cheap for the 300
Ian Wong geico charge for whole year about 250 bucks. don't go with allstate or they charge 500
Man that looks like you guys had a blast. Can't wait to get mine. I'm getting the 250 though.
+Ezekiel Major it is a fun bike for sure
PAYDAYSWAGGER Thanks. Can't wait to get mine and put it on the road.
Well considering the Honda Grom is a toy I would say buy a real motorcycle.
get a 600
So sick of seeing these testosterone filled bike blogs from little boys!
nice bike reggie but those look like the older model maybe 2005?
What brand fender eliminator you have.. on your 300
I'm gonna have to go with the old 5.0 in the parking lot .lmao
yea my first bike since getting back to riding after yrs in a 2011 vulcan classic lt
lets say im 184cm and 100kg.. should i go for the 300 ?
I'm 5'10 250ish pounds. Would a bike like this be okay for a big boy like me? lol if not, gonna have to drop some weight asap
+GGradilla nope better drop some weight
It's either gonna be this bike or an iron 883 tbh lol i find the better gas mileage on the ninja 300 to be more appealing, so i guess my fatass has to get in shape

On 4:04 you pass by my old school
ninja 650 or ninja 300
what's it mean to break in a bike. I hear you have to break it in first for it to ride well.

You don't drive a motorcycle, you ride a motorcycle. You are definitely a green horn 🥳
Great Vid.
Thanks M
Ninja cost too much....i mean u can get a better bike like the KTM rc or something like that ...which r much² sharper
This is a no brainer, obviously your going to be faster, also you mentioned he was learning still soooooooo yep
is that Lee's summit?
+Exile5121 nope
dont waste your money on these lil things , start off at a 600, wont get bored as easily
Reggie Fields Jr had my for 4 years never got tired of it I tryed the 100cc but. I not in a hurry. and 300 is affordable
bruh i bought my first k6 600 for 2k im sure you payed more for less power
get ur muffler change. those factory muffler sucks!
We need to upgrade our license, our skills to go for 600's... 600's prices isn't affordable for majority people here in Malaysia... That's why some country still going for 250's for starter bike...
It all depends on the rider. I always recommend kids start on a small bike. My son's first bike is more than likely going to be a ninja 250
beep beep beep lol
