- Chris and Alex take you on a full tour and give you a review of the American Express (AMEX) Centurion Lounge located in Miami International Airport. The MIA Centurion Lounge was recently expanded in January of 2019 due to its popularity and general overcrowding. Luckily, during our afternoon visit we saw that the expansion appeared to fix that overcrowding problem so we were able to enjoy a moderately empty airport lounge. The staff was more than friendly and provided us with fast drink service and very clean environment. During this tour and review we walk you through each amenity this exclusive and comfortable Miami International American Express Centurion Lounge airport lounge has to offer. From the fresh baked assortment of cookies, warm breakfast and lunch food to the alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Fortunately, all of these amenities are complimentary upon access thanks to our American Express Platinum Card perks! We enjoyed some free champagne while we explain how you can travel hack your way out of the busy terminal gate waiting area and relax with some free food, drinks and a famous AMEX cookie!

More Centurion videos please… I have a question. Are there any centurion lounges in other countries? Which ones? Love your channel you guys are funny and entertaining
thanks so much for the kind words & support! There are some Centurion Lunges in other countries. There are full Centurion Lounges in Hong Kong (HKG) and London (LHR). Also, there are Centurion Lounges in Mumbai, Delhi, Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Melbourne, Mexico City, and Sydney but I've heard they're slightly different than the ones you'll find in the U.S., Hong Kong, and London. Hope that helps!

Unfortunately there is no Centurion Lounge at SAN! You could try to hit the Airspace Lounge or Delta Skyclub though! Good luck!

Unclear about getting access. Seems like anyone can just walk right in. Do you have to swipe the card to get access to the elevator or are you stopped by member services didn't see any stopping you or checking
You need to have a Platinum, Centurion or Delta Reserve card to enter the Amex Centurion lounge! You do need to stop at the front desk to check in. They verify your ID, and match your name to your American Express card and also verify your boarding pass! No one who doesn't belong is getting it. We had told the desk we would be right back when we were filming. Hope that helps!
Will they know if you did not purchase the Delta ticket with an Amex branded card?
They will, since you have to show your boarding pass along with your Amex card and photo ID
do they scan your card as well??
They verify your identification, platinum card and boarding pass!

Basically! They check your ID and Platinum Card to verify name then scan your boarding pass. Then you can sip all the complementary champagne you can drink!

Hey Ethan! Currently they don't check guests boarding passes or ID'S! So no they don't need to be traveling with you. This is based on our experience. Generally only one cardholder shows a card, ID and boarding pass. Have fun!!!

If you have luggage do they keep it in the entry of the Centurion lounge?
You just bring your luggage to your seat! We usually find a couch or table and set up a home base by dropping our luggage and bags. Then we grab food... drinks... etc. Its really nice because the staff will come by and grab your trash and used dishes or glasses keeping your area clean so you can relax!
Can you go inside the MIA Centurion lounge if MIA airport is your destination terminal?
Unfortunately you cannot enter the Centurion lounges upon arrival. But if you are departing from MIA you can visit! Just need the right card to gain access.

Yes unfortunately American Express has changed the Centurion Lounge guest policy.
Starting in 2023, Platinum Cardmembers will still have complimentary access but guests will be $50 each unless the Platinum account hits $75K in annual spend. Platinum authorized users will continue to have free access, but the Gold authorized users on a Platinum account will be $50 per entrance.
@@PointsPassport that’s not as bad as I originally thought. But they should at least give card holders the ability to bring a guest at least once or twice a year so it doesn’t penalize infrequent travelers.
