As long is its tom, the channel is in good hands. Keep creative and be yourself tom! Leave your own mark!
The movement in the Mido is their iteration of the ETA Powermatic 80 exclusive to Swatch Group brands including but not limited to, Mido.
Tsuyosa headed in strange new directions...... Tom, you're good, really good
That Yema is a looker. I’ve only noticed them for their Superman and skin divers. Thanks for sharing.
I bought a Khaki Field Auto for CAD $740 two years ago (nearly CAD $1,000 now, sheesh), and every single one of my friends couldn’t believe a watch besides Rolex could cost that much. Enthusiasts are a different breed, lol.
I have the Traska GMT… absolutely love it, take it everywhere when I travel. Also should mention it has push button micro adjust on the bracelet.
Enjoyed this video!
For a strict field watch I went with a titanium Boldr Venture Carbon ... My Hamilton is a Khaki King. Seiko Pressage should also be on here. The Citizen Tsyuosa is also a lovely release - my preference is for the sub seconds varient.
Some really nice watches in there for not a lot of money. Good video.
Good picks !
11mm Gshock is entirely my jam
Love my blue dial SNZG11 J1 updated with a domed sapphire crystal and a NH36 movement...
I like these types of videos because I'm willing to bet that 90% of the public doesn't know crap about watches or the nerdy tech specs. Even if they see a nice looking $30 casio the would think it looks nice and that will be the end of it so you can imagine that, for most, a $500 watch would look amazing to the average Joe. Outside of watch people that are watching these channels, we are a small minority.
Know a guy that only buys fashion watches (Maserati, Calvin Klein) essentially spending Zelos money on Fossil quality.
@@KermitSip I used to not care whatsoever about watch makers, history, prestige or any of that. So much so that if I thought a watch had a nice color for my wardrobe I’d even buy them on Wish. I once was going to get one of those fashion watches when they were being pushed a lot by RUclips several years ago.
500$ gets you a lot today.
1000$ is pretty much all you could need in a watch
The Mido represents exceptional value. And it’s a great looking watch.
I hope U-boat doesn't spring a leak and sink. Talking about the submarine of course.
Love the Traskas. Great alternative for an Oyster Perpetual ❤
Mido & Tissot
I love traska watches!!!
Great video, Tom. Love this Baltic watch
Mido is a real great brand,i love the new commander 1959 42mm with cosc certified mouvment, mineral glass, realy good watch,1500$ new but in secondary market you can find it under 1000,i recomand
Just when I swore never to buy another watch ever again!
The only people that say integrated is over or isn't cool don't like it. I don't love all of them but they can and do look good depending.
Did U-Boat decide to leave a bubble in its oil-filled watch so you can use it as a level? Does that count as a complication or a feature?
Great watches..
Definetly getting a new G-Shock, my old one is so beaten up
"Beat up" is the patina of G-Shock!
Agreed
Tom. Great ideas.
I'm glad that Tom is carrying on
Call me weird, but the only watches here that resonated with me were the Yema and the G-Shock. Also whenever I hear "in-house movement" + "80 hour power reserve" all I hear is "disposable" + "Swatch Group". All the same, I love the channel and your videos.
Only the C07.1xx Powermatic movements have plastic parts, all other versions have traditional metal escapement. The easiest to tell the difference is the number of jewels: if it has 25 everything is metal, if it has 23 it's got plastic parts. None of them have a regulator though.
I buy watches I love regardless of price/manufacturer. If other people don’t like them why would I care.? It’s mine not theirs! I like these videos just not the titles… if you are a watch snob more fool you! 😅
Tom, a suggestion … speak in your lower voice register. Like radio announcers, deeper is better.
I would also add Maen and Wise watches. Wise Adamascus is one of the best values for money; very high quality. I would also add the Arken Alterium but I am still waiting on mine. Production is running behind. Kenneth emailed me the beginning of April to let me know that they are still getting through orders from July of 2023 (I ordered in September) so my piece is delayed a bit. The Alterium is full titanium 38mm with a modified Myota with GMT, water resistant to 200m and 13mm thick. Has am and pm indicator with date indicator. For those interested in something new. Can’t wait to get in.
Maybe RZE too.
@@karlsenula9495 Yes! The Ascentus GMT has a solid Seiko GMT movement, one of the least expensive titanium watches on market, has date wheel and the blue dial is really nice. Great call.
I'm glad Citizen and Seiko don't get those idiotic memos.
This is the videos that i like.💯👍
Finding your voice, no pun intended.
Keep on 👍
I kinda like the new guy. Andrew is a legend, but now we get him + this…. Just saying.
Really enjoyed this video! I did in fact hear about the decline in integrated sports watches, just before i was able to be counted amongst those who had heard about the decline in integrated sports watches.
I missed the price of the Traska's
Between 547€ and 815€, depending on the size and dial.
@@steffenbaden-baden1274 Cheers and thanks for that.
@@steffenbaden-baden1274 Don't forget import taxes for EU.
Failed to mention Gerrard perigaux an corum?
@@LaniusExcubitor1337 Right, I dont know if they are included on that prices, maybe they are on Top of that.
I miss Andrew… 😔
My Seiko broke on the first day.
Tom rocks
👍
i'd want that Hamilton if it didn't have that stupid display case back, those things instantly make a watch look like a toy imo
The traska has 1200 vickers of hardness, not 12000.
Kewl
Watchfinder should change it's name to The Tom Zone
I’m pretty hard - I must have 1,000,000 vickers of hardness - who wants a fight?
I think Tom is funnier than Andrew.
You clearly haven't heard Andrews innuendos on his own channel.
Then again, I haven't heard Tom's innuendos, because Watchfinder is clean humour only.
@@vaclav_fejt I've heard but I appreciate Tom's dry humor more. Andrew's is a little too overwritten imo. If you find Andrew's humour superior then more power to you!
@@shu002 Thanks. I have so much power now! 💪
Agreed
12000 vicars of hardness? Haven't heard of that many hard vicars since the Vatican took on their latest intake of choirboys
😂
Nothing to see here
literally none of these watches are good , ........
That U-Boat is definitely not snob-proof
