Sad story, great movie. This guy NAILED the real Richard Jewell. I watched Jewell's 60 Minutes interview right after seeing the movie and you can just barely tell them apart. This almost never happens in movies, but he actually nailed a southern accent, at least to my Virginia ears, and he's from Michigan, for crying out loud. Very impressive.
He nailed the role as Richard Jewell! I was surprised at him being THAT good actor! I mean I found his acting in I, Tonya and Blankkklanskan pretty good as well but...man, I didn't expect this. Definitely oscar-worthy.
Yep ... Mrs Jewell was as amazed as me...both Paul and Richard were nearly identical...watching the 60minutes interview I kept thinking did this man play himself? Thank you Clint Eastwood and all involved in this film.
Just watched the film and had to look him up some more... This guy is a super talented actor, I'd say 5-10 minutes in I was already so impressed and then throughout the film, he's incredible. How he delivers dialogue but also his body language, he's so seamless and such a natural infront of the camera, tiny little gestures and mannerisms help immerse the viewers in the character and he really stole the show that boasted a tremendous supporting cast!
He is one awesome actor, he played the part of Richard Jewell so good that he actually had me fooled for a while even though I knew different, but the movie brought me tears, and Kathy Bates is one of my favorite actors I just love her. RIP Richard 🙏
What a stand up guy. Paul Walter Hauser has received great reviews for this role. He is incredibly easy to interview and down to earth. What an asset to Hollywood.
