I think Sam Rockwell is one of the most underrated actors, his films are so entertaining. Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri....Fantastic! If you haven't seen it and you rate Sam give it a watch.
Sam the man is on a roll. Follows Oscar winning role with another nomination, and he could have easily gotten another nomination at this year’s Oscars. Lately, everything he does is getting much deserved critical acclaim
It did look good, but I’m annoyed by the actress telling everyone to get a diversity clause in their contracts. Firstly, most employees don’t get to make demands, and secondly, this is going to absolutely ruin Kung fu movies. Did having a token white guy in Black Panther make it a better film? I could’ve gone 2 hours without seeing my race or gender represented in front of my face. Settle down, Francis.
Met Sam randomly in NYC about 12 years ago. He had a full beard and was in jogging gear but I recognized him and he was impressed by that. He stopped to talk to me for a couple minutes and was really nice!
There’s a funny type of satisfaction seeing somebody who, for so long, has been overlooked upon his/her brilliance and watching the pay off, whenever it may arrive. It takes one role to change a life. Sam proved it takes more than a role and doubled down with patience, humility, and humbleness. Blessed to see good people succeed and watch the arrival of the proper appreciation he deserves. Well done sir, never stop.

when a guy can act, sing and dance as good as Rockwell, He's just such an easy going dude. He always looks like he just woke up and grabbed a shirt off the ground.
Funny you should mention that. I was so immersed in the movie that for a long time after I couldn't help but think of him as anything but Wild Bill, even when he did funnier, more lighter roles. It took Moon (2009) to make me start appreciating his talents and his variety.

That was the most underrated Christopher Walken impression I've ever seen/heard, not over the top like most of the others, just subtle & precise. The jaw movement & the revealing/showing of the bottom row of teeth was so on point.
Sam is a hard one to pin down. He's like a stage performer of cinema in that he prefers the more character driven, mostly indie roles while sometimes rarely delving into big budget flicks. He is immensly talented as shown in Moon, Jo Jo Rabbit, Three Billboards and many many others and yet he manages to keep a mystery about himself. A very clever, talented and humble guy indeed.
I remember the first time I saw Sam Rockwell, it was in _The Green Mile_ and I felt really guilty for finding him good-looking when he was playing such a horrific monster. 😳 But more than that I remember being really impressed with his acting. I’m so glad he’s done well for himself, he’s a great talent.
It's funny, everyone is mentioning Green Mile and remembering Moon and Confessions of a Dangerous Mind....BUT The Way Way Back is Sam's BEST performance! Hands down.
@@osawero2293 Tarantino has said he is going to finish directing after his 10th movie. "Once upon a Time in Hollywood" is movie no. 9, he still has one left. Also, Rockwell would be a fantastic villain in a Tarantino movie.

I remember the Richard Jewell ordeal so very well. I was a captain of a vending location in the old Omni and actually walked right past where the explosion would happen like 15 minutes later. I actually remember waving at a security guy, which I then recognized the next day as Richard Jewell due to the hubbub, and got on the MARTA to go home. While on the MARTA the explosion happened and I got home and the phone was ringing off the hook. It was surreal. The next day, all the vending employees had to be put in large rooms to wait while bomb-sniffing dogs went around every venue because VP Al Gore was going to be there that day. As they got the all-clear for a venue they'd release the employees of those locations. It was unbelievable. And then the media started hounding the security guy. He had no bag or anything on him when I waved to him, maybe 10 feet away at the most, so I never bought the story of the bomber security guy. Glad that they eventually caught Eric Rudolph years later, but I remember feeling awful for him. I plan on seeing this movie in the next week with a buddy and am really looking forward to a big flashback for myself.
He should have been nominated for The Green Mile two decades ago. Sometimes we don't realize it has taken an actor a lifetime of work to finally be recognized for one specific role...
