I hope that everyone in these comments knows that grunge isnt a style of clothing its a music genre / movement from the 1980s to the 1990s the grunge genre / movement was formed when a bunch of bands (like nirvana, pearl jam, soundgarden, alice in chains, malfunkshun etc.) All just so happened to make their band in the same period of time and place (also they were all alternative rock bands) which is why grunge is a thing today post grunge is newer bands trying to imitate the sound or ideologies of grunge bands. Grunge is not an "aestetic" it is not a style it is a goddamn music genre and i might kurt cobain myself if i see another one of these "grunge aestecic" videos just trying to find some good music to liten to
I would definitely call this y2k, but (especially modern) grunge take a lot of inspiration from these styles so they get mixed up sometimes

Not y2k despite the baggy jeans which were not a grunge aesthetic, stud belts which were more mid 2000s emo, low rise jeans which were y2k, tribal style fashion which was not in the grunge aesthetic and stripes clothes which were y2k/emo. Also crosses which weren't in the grunge style.

@@Kindaverygrunge I looked up grunge, the shoes are dirty/ripped, and the pants are fading away and dirty, and the shirt is ripped or the color is fading away to, grunge DO NOT brush there hair. It's unnecepteble, and grunge DO NOT, buy pants with stars/or design with it, they DO IT, not the other companies because that's a insult for grunge. And this is the only grunge style.. there is no such thing as "Soft grunge".
