When i was about 12 years old i had a nirvana poster above my bed. I had a really bad dream one night regarding the poster (it was a long time ago so i can't remember what it was about) but i told my Mum about it the next morning because it really rattled me. Later on that Day when i got back from school my Mum told me that News Reports said that Kurt Cobain had died the night before. I've never been a superstitious guy but that was an incredibly bizarre coincidence and made me wonder if i was some kind of psychic for a while! 😬

For Anyone that doesn't know Washington State, I'm pretty sure Melvins is either a garage somewhere they fix cars near Aberdeen or it's the Melvins famous pizza ria in downtown Olympia.. I only spent nearly 5 years around the Puget Sound Oly area but that was enough to BREAK 💔 me I was an addict (heroin) but I met tons of addicts there (mostly meth amphetamines) Then they had the ones that on the sly did meth 1st and acted like they hated heroin but then ya find out that some, not all. Will do both and they called that a "goofball". Well I very quickly found out why they called it that cuz it made me a total goofball and I'd get scared and hide under blankets.. Long story short, one day I was hanging out with this older couple who were heroin 1st then they'd mix either by injecting or snorting smoking etc...so I'm at their place and I did a "goofball" and hid under the blankets cuz I didn't want anyone to see my eyes cuz it made me feel like I looked like a snake and I was scared...and I hear the woman say "look (boyfriend) she does the same thing that Kurt used to do! I stayed under the blanket til the amphetamines wore off and didn't really give it another thought. And it kept happening cuz I trusted (the older gentleman with all of me) And I asked him "hey blank, why does everyone say I'm just like Kurt? Who is Kurt..and he said "Oh that's right, you weren't here yet back then, Kurt is Kurt Cobain a guy we used to be friends with!" And I said "Kurt Cobain? You mean the beautiful talented soul from Nirvana?" He said "Yep! One and the same!" Of course I only half believed it cuz it sounds crazy right? Until other people said I reminded them of "Kurt"! Next time I was able to talk to this couple and just chill we were looking at some old pics of them and their friends through the years and I see what looks exactly like the Kurt Cobain I asked the one I really trusted.." "hey friend (I'm purposely leaving his and her names out for anonymity) is that him? Is that Kurt...and he says yep 👍.. and it blew my mind. Cuz they didn't shove it down my throat..but in this pic Kurt was sitting Indian style with a blanket just kinda draped off his shoulders, like he had gotten thru the scary part of it and probably did some more "H" and came down to his normal self and balanced himself while still having the ("security blanket") draped around JIC he needed to use it again if he wasn't able to maintain and felt scared & skiddish again that all he had to do was pull it right back up and feel " grounded" like he wasn't going to float away! At least that's the way I was able to stay grounded so I wouldn't float away! That is anxiety, social anxiety extreme panic disorder PTSD and maybe even TBI (Traumatic Brain Disorder) pain and "self diagnosing and self medicating" in my case anyway.. And I remember Kurt always saying he needed opiates because he had stomach pain all of the time because back then it was unexceptionable to admit you felt unbalanced and that you are feeling scared and anxious because whenever you did normal ppl and Doctors alike would say "oh, well suck it up buttercup, just stop using..just stop!" So the cycle continues on and on. No real addict will stop until they're ready! Period! So now, luckily. You can talk openly to your doctor and they legally can't tell the police unless you are a threat to yourself or society and they can point you in the right direction.Eg. methadone Suboxone vivitrol...or anxiety meds or both. I know I just went off on a tangent because i started talking about Kurt and it reminded me of the long and windy road I took. So basically I just don't want anybody to feel afraid to discuss your issues! Whether you are fifteen or fifty please get some help! Its always available! You don't want to end up like me experimenting with drugs and alcohol at around 12 or 13 and wake up forty years later cuz by then it's usually too late. If you are lucky enough to make it thru without dying, it's a long hard cold lonely and exhausting road! Addiction IS A DISEASE!! IT IS NOT A CHOICE AND THERE IS ALWAYS HOPE! R.I.P. KURT COBAIN!! FLY WITH THE ANGELS 😇 Because let me tell ya, when those lights come on and you start to "float"

I can remember like it was yesterday at college getting up and turning on mtv (when they actually played music) and then announcing he had been found dead from apparent suicide. We watched most of the day was such a sad day. Someone you don’t know but touched so many kids with his music and thoughts.

I remember it to this day. I was nine years old in 1994 people are running the streets crying in my neighborhood outside of New Orleans. We didn’t know what was going on. We had heard of the band. It was a big thing back then it was all over mainstream news.
It’s very nostalgic and takes you back to a time and place where the days meant something totally different. Definitely the happiest and most positive time in my life and music like Nirvana takes me back every time I hear it

Cuz they didn't shove it down my throat..but in this pic Kurt was sitting Indian style with a blanket just kinda draped off his shoulders, like he had gotten thru the scary part of it and probably did some more "H" and came down to his normal self and balanced himself while still having the ("security blanket") draped around JIC he needed to use it again if he wasn't able to maintain and felt scared & skiddish again that all he had to do was pull it right back up and feel " grounded" like he wasn't going to float away!
At least that's the way I was able to stay grounded so I wouldn't float away!
That is anxiety, social anxiety extreme panic disorder PTSD and maybe even TBI (Traumatic Brain Disorder) pain and "self diagnosing and self medicating" in my case anyway..
And I remember Kurt always saying he needed opiates because he had stomach pain all of the time because back then it was unexceptionable to admit you felt unbalanced and that you are feeling scared and anxious because whenever you did normal ppl and Doctors alike would say "oh, well suck it up buttercup, just stop using..just stop!" So the cycle continues on and on.
No real addict will stop until they're ready! Period!
So now, luckily. You can talk openly to your doctor and they legally can't tell the police unless you are a threat to yourself or society and they can point you in the right direction.Eg. methadone Suboxone vivitrol...or anxiety meds or both.
I know I just went off on a tangent because i started talking about Kurt and it reminded me of the long and windy road I took.
So basically I just don't want anybody to feel afraid to discuss your issues! Whether you are fifteen or fifty please get some help!

You don't want to end up like me experimenting with drugs and alcohol at around 12 or 13 and wake up forty years later cuz by then it's usually too late. If you are lucky enough to make it thru without dying, it's a long hard cold lonely and exhausting road!

I can remember like it was yesterday at college getting up and turning on mtv (when they actually played music) and then announcing he had been found dead from apparent suicide. We watched most of the day was such a sad day. Someone you don’t know but touched so many kids with his music and thoughts.
I hope that isn't true because suicide is Self Murder which is a sin. I hope someone killed him instead of he taking his own life because I wish to see him in the after life (heaven). R.i.p Kurt 👼🏼
