NOTICE: If you see a white outline around the face after you create the autoblend, try doing a contraction larger than 5px pixels. Also make sure that no selections are active while doing the autoblend, hope this helps!
KeithTerryMusic Im not sure why you're still getting problems, but if everything else besides the outline looks good. then consider adding a layer above all and use the content-aware healing brush tool to remove the outline. Also, feel free to send me the file and I can take a look at it. Up to you. Hope this helps.
Hey, help appreciated. I accidentally did something which made the face underneath smoothen out to whats best described as slendermen, it made stack blending look much better. Do you possibly know how I can replicate that?
The title says it all, to swap faces in Photoshop. Something that people do for fun (or work) almost on a daily basis. This technique shows you a different way of doing it where you can easily match skin tone.
usually the squares you're describing happen when you forget to "contract" the selection. If you didn't forget, try making a larger contract. let me know if that works. By the way, thanks for watching!
If I had have known that the autoblend feature existed before, I could have saved literally hours of playing about with curves, levels etc to match skin tones. Fuck... But cheers, this is a great video :) I've been using Photoshop for about 6-7 years now and this is exactly the reason why I like to watch tutorials occasionally. There's always more to learn and it helps give me little tips on how I can do things a little differently to improve my work.
desertrose0601, thanks for your comment! It's funny, I replied to another message just before this one who actually liked the very thing you find annoying! Most of my followers are true beginners, and a simple button conversion could actually be quite complicated, my guess is that you're more of an advanced user. I'll try not to let it distract too much in the future and perhaps test out your suggestion. My apologies for driving you crazy! and thanks again for the comment and the support!
im tired of searching step by step toturial, but when im fine your toturial it encourage me.thats for sure..thanks a lot.i hope more tuturial coming from you..YES.
Excellent video... spot on instructions that work every time with a few minor adjustments if you are doing small parts of the face, not the whole face. Thank you! I've watched this video over 25 times and keep pausing it after certain steps... I almost have it memorized now lol. I cannot thank you enough!
Damn, dude. I've seen so many PS tutorials on youtube and this is by far the best one. You explained everything clearly, went through it step by step, and didn't waste 10 minutes talking about irrelevant stuff. Great job and thanks for the help!
ctrl t is the shortcut to transform a selection. you should see a box (bounding box) with handles in each corner. I'm not sure what you mean by "it doesn't select the face."
Thank you so much for this tutorial! Big hands for this kindest soul, and I like how you tell people which keys are you pressing so that audiences wont get confused, very considerate !
I cannot explain how much this has helped me - I have a project and didn't have any idea how to complete it until watching this tutorial, your exact explanations of every keypress and it's result are wonderful -- thank you very very much, I really appreciate it - NEVER stop making videos please! all the best :-)
one of the reason could be that you're not deselecting the "marching ants" selection outline before selecting both images to Auto-Blend. Another reason could be you are not doing the contract after making the selection. Hope this helps!
Awesome job man! This is revolutionary for me. I've been doing face swaps lately and I've always had problems with skin tone so this is a huge help. Not to mention that it's WAY easier.
They should be of a decent size, at least 800 by 800, although this can still work on smaller images. Did you remember to contract your selection? This was the problem for other people.
I love how you tell me though every step and all, thank you for all your help, I hope other people do as well. You definitely deserve more views, I'll just share and subscribe for now.

It's still giving me a big white area between the two. I've tried contracting anywhere from 1 to 40 pixels and it does the same thing every time.

The only time I've seen that happen is when the selection is not contracted before deleting the pixels. Did you contract the selection?

I'm not sure if the auto blend is in CS2. But try it and let me know!
V Rap,
Usually people forget to contract the selection, (or not contract it enough, depending on the size of the image), try checking that.
remind me, at what time do I press Ctrl G? FYI, that shortcut is to create a group. so you need to have to layers selected.
Do you know where you got stuck? I've tried it on cs4 ant it works.
Thank You, Nadir!
