    Used most of this tutorial to reimagine actors for a hypothetical remake of the 1987 Beauty and the Beast TV show. Thank you so much for making, because my paint job I was trying didn't satisfy me! This worked with Clip Studio Paint. Only difference, I used a snow leopard image and wanted to keep the white coloring...sort of (it blended into the skin I guess when I tried different effects?), so multiply didn't work. Either going to go with linear or hard light for more striking image. I'm amazed, thanks for all the help! I'll link back my video when it's finished.

    I had trouble with 4:28 - 4:45. I was unable to get solid color. im using a cheetah. i tried with a tiger and had the same issue. I am going to skip the whisker part... as i only need to do this so i can get a visual for a drawing i will be doing.
    Best PS tutorials i have yet to see. Thank you so much.

      when i pressed Q around 4:30, the opacity is not 100%. As in... i can still see the image behind the red. unlike yours where it all went solid red.
      Hope this better illustrates what i mean.

    Hi, great tutorial! One question, how do you keep the whites so visible with 'multiply' ? I''m using a cheetah face but the edges are all washed out due to the white disappearing in the animals face and revealing the skin of the subject. The 'soft light' trick does bring it up a bit, but not at all enough

    Marty, is there any way to tell what the vertical/horizontal scale in displacement map should be for certain photo? Or is it more like 'well i think it might be something around 7' and then just increasing/decreasing this value to make the entire displacement looking good? Thanks in advantage :)

    • @BLTV_Photoshop
      @BLTV_Photoshop  10 лет назад

      The amounts you use for the vertical/horizontal scales largely depend on the resolution of your document. I generally use between 5 to 10 pixels for a document with 150 ppi.

    • @BLTV_Photoshop

      Copying a layer is making an identical, duplicate of a layer in the layers panel, whereas, duplicating a layer creates a new document of the layer.

    Whenever I go into quick mask made it just makes a makes a red tinted window over the picture and not the red and white sketch looking thing.

      Merci! Au fait, depuis de nombreuses années, mes tutoriels ont des sous-titres. Cliquez sur l'icône "CC" en bas à droite de la vidéo, puis cliquez sur "Français". Les traductions ne sont pas parfaites, mais une grande partie est encore compréhensible. Dites à tous ceux qui veulent apprendre ou s’améliorer dans Photoshop de s’abonner à Blue Lightning TV et de lire les sous-titres en français. :-)

    How do you turn a video of a person speaking and then transforming into a tiger?

      This can be done in Premiere or After Effects; not Photoshop.
