Disintegration Effect: Photoshop Tutorial

- In today's step by step Photoshop tutorial. We will be learning how to create a Disintegration Effect. We will be focusing on adding the disintegration effect by using "particle" Photoshop brushes, Masks and the Liquify tool. We also we will adding a cracked texture and blending/warping it to look as if it's wrapping around her face. I will also be using the Camera Raw filter a little bit and adjustment layers to make the color of the image really stand out. For the final step I will show you how to make the model eyes stand out immensely. Hope you enjoy. Don't forget to leave a like! :)

Could you make a video on how to import things into pictures and make it look realistic (Like making the colors fit into the pictures, for example: Picture of a room, and placing people and weed plants in it, with it looking realistic)

Great. What I really really like about this tutorial is that you don´t talk in it. It´s a hell of a good idea to text the single steps. Which makes it also possible for the hearing-impaired to follow your tutorial. What a pity that I can only give you one "thumb up".

I remember watching and following this tutorial almost four years ago when it wasn't a meme yet... it was a time when I just started to work in Photoshop so I would just watch these videos on a daily basis. I even created a custom brush preset just so I could do this edit. :D
Guys... there is no link to brushes, the link goes to the tutorial which you buy for $2.50 which includes the brushes. Pretty cheap for a tutorial of this quality, but anyway that's why no link to brushes. You can probably use the brushes you have in CS6 or above or search for free brushes.

3:17 I don't get why it doesn't work, I follow everything on the video. The color is black, I'm working on the white mask, but when I click it doesn't change anything..

It's because you have to download some brush tools off of the internet for $1.99. It's a link in the description. This fucker is robbing us.

Cool video man! When you change the blending mode to linear dodge add I was like woaahhhh ! I love that blending mode! If you double click on the layer when in that blending mode and turn of transparency tick box I think it makes it twice as bright too!

From what I observed, I can't paint it over the layer mask on the model... but I can paint ON the model, just not the layer mask. I think that's where I gone wrong.
NVM, figured it out on my own..

hell yeah finally figured it out.
make sure you're painting on the layer mask of the 'model' layer.
also make sure the brush paint is black, as the layer is white for whatever you're doing to show up, it must be painted black
finally the mode of the brush must be normal

***** Damn it's over a month ago i can't remember the steps. But i know where I went wrong, the part where she asked us to do the layer mask. my black and whites were wrong. good luck, i was doing this damn thing for over an hour because of that stupid problem, i restarted like 500x before i figured where i went wrong and it turned out kinda shitty, but it's okay because at least i did it lmao.
