I wanted to say both, thank you for uploading this for us normies to watch and two, please talk as much as you'd like! This is how we learn and we appreciate everything you share with us. Cheers!
Please keep talking!!! I appreciate how much you explain things and go over things as they come up. If ppl can't say something nice ignore the idiots as they just don't matter!!!
Chris, I have ZERO problem with how much you talk. I watch your channel to learn, and to learn why you are doing something is like an itch being scratched. To hear what's going in in your head, why you choose to do one thing or another is fantastic for building the mind set to create these settings later without having to have someone hold your hand. It's critical thinking in creativity - that's learning for me. Please don't ever shut up or reduce your dialog. These are hard-won (by you) techniques! Thanks so much for the details you share! 🌺😍
I have watched a number of videos on making pear shaped settings but I find yours the most useful. Yes, you talk a lot and that is good as you are providing great explanation about what you are doing and why you are doing it. I also like the fact the you want and need to get it perfect. In the other videos I’ve watched the final shape for the settings have not matched the stone nearly as accurate as yours and in the final piece it shows. Thanks for these videos and your desire for perfection.
I love the explanation as a new jewellery maker, it's so useful!!! I love the bits that don't go to plan too as its real. I have learnt loads from your videos. I also love the cicadas in this one. Natsukashii! I lived in Yamanashiken for 14m and miss that sound 😊
Thanks for all the videos, live them. I've noticed you're getting thousands of views but not many likes, might be worth reminding people in your intro/ending
To a certain degree I don't really care about the response to the videos. I'm happy the videos are helpful to people but I don't need any verification with a 'like'
I believe that increased viewer engagement through likes, subscriptions and comments helps with the RUclips algorithm so you get put in people's feeds more often
@@DiamondMounter Dude do you want to have a great channel vs one that is just existing? You sound like an engineer... Sort of gruff and with a take it or leave it approach. You are too young for that attitude. You sound like an old man. People will not think you are slimy or manipulative if you remind them to participate. For the first few years I never even talked to makers or put likes or nothing. It makes the person who is putting the like or the comment, part of the whole thing. You can just offer encouragement. If it gets too intense you can just back off. You are all the way over in Japan for goodness sake. People like to think you hear them. Hugs. I have to tell you when the time came to pick out a pet from a rescue, I did not get a cat even though I love them, cause they like to throw stuff on the floor and play with round things. I got a very short dog. Gets me walking and when I lose stuff I can only blame myself!!!
Damn dude. You are awesome! Just the focus, patience and technical knowledge (physics and engineering) to make the piece exactly is so lovely to watch. Seems like learning to make and making jewelry requires emotional stability. Thanks again. I feel like I'm watching someone mountain climbing. That's a perfect window for the kitty too.

Man, I can't say it enough: your videos are awesome! All the small tips, which wouldn't make it in a workbook, are pretty important.
