Finally someone that actually teaches how to play this song. I went through numerous amount of videos and this one is by far the best.
cheers to you AV
My first time I’ve seen a video of yours and all I have to say is that you are a very solid teacher
why thank you John - and thanks for stopping by :)
Thanks again Ryan. STP just happens to be my favorite band. 👍
lucky strike!
*Love STP*
Ryan for the win, again, and again, and again!
how about... again?
What a gem of a teacher. Everyone is boring af and you just fly through the lessons making me laugh keep up the good work
thanks Nic :)
@@RyanLendt no problem father
While you're playing that, i can hear bass and drums in my mind.
One of the songs i've been listening to for countless times.
Thanks a lot for the lesson!
thanks for hangin!
The way that you sprinkle in the one-liners into all of your videos is spot on. Good work my friend.
it's nice to be understood :) Thanks for being here Steven!
that little bass fill on guitar was a nice touch. wish i knew the alternative picking parts on this song that are normally played on the unplugged version, having struggles finding it.
Ryan, the unplugged version of this song is magnificent and I have it tattooed in my mind
Dean is a talented one :)
Just loving your Grunge band Lessons. Thanks Ryan
thank you for notifying us of that very important thing we had to do Trev
Ryan Lendt My pleasure Ryan, thanks for the mention. It’ll be amazing if we can get Soundgarden to the top! Long overdue
Man your lessons are so much better then most on here. Just the little things that you mention makes a big difference. “Keep on Rocking in the free world”
thanks my man :) have we done that one yet??
I don’t think so? I haven’t seen it. But it’s a great song for the accoustic and electric. If you haven’t That would be awesome if you did. I love playing that song. Plus Eddie has covered it. I’m going to mail something tommorow:)
yes we have done it! I thought so :)

and, can't wait :)
Only just found your channel - enjoying your STP lessons 👍
welcome to the party rob
Cara, STP é minha favorita... Suas lições são tão apuradas, um dia ainda quero chegar ao seu nivel :)
I'm glad you liked it Rusty :)
Stoked to try
if at first you don't succeed!
Great lesson. Only reason my passion for guitar is so strong, is because of these excellent lessons you and many others put such hard work into. Without you my guitar would still be a chunk of wood collecting dust. 🤘
i appreciate your kind presence Fianna :)
Hi Ryan, this lesson was amazing :) i had to show my wife who you were and how i'm becoming a better player 'cause of you...yesterday was Getaway + Solo day, tomorrow Creep...i love STP. Thank you :)
haha thank you for introducing us PP! that means a lot, and I'm really glad you're getting something out of your time here - cheers to you!
Just found your channel mate, love it. Awesome choices for lessons! Would prefer a short runthrough of you playing the song at the beginning of the videos, but thats personal preference. Keep up the great work!
He's got a good selection! And my new guitar teacher as well. lol Found river of deceit and now I always look for new videos!
Welcome Aeimal! Alas, sometimes I do a better job at that than others, but I always try to keep it in mind. Thank you for the feedback, and for being here :)
I love that hammer on on the B7. I think I even mentioned that, when you were teaching a song with a similar hammer on. What’s you favorite sounding chord? Mine changes often. I was into the one that starts in the song around the bend by PJ I like that sound. I’m always into the C major and A Minor. I heard a funny story about Paul Mcartney having to take two buses to a town, where his mate showed him the B7 chord. The Internet sure has changed things lol. RIP Scott Weiland!
haha one time i was working on a song of my own and I couldn't find the chord I wanted, and proceeded to have a dream that paul mccartney told me to try Am7. I did, and sure enough it was exactly the chord I was looking for :) I think just good ol' major chords are my favorite.
great lesson, as a beginner u helped me understand then strummin patterns alot more
yay thanks :)
It couldn't be better explained than this video... thanks a lot.
Glad it landed for you amigo :)
Great lesson Ryan ! Thanks for taking the time brother.
my pleasure Ben thanks for the shout :)
most underrated teacher, better than marty, he actually teaches you how to play it right, thank you man
you're very kind Ethan, thanks for taking the time :)
Don’t hate on marty😈
Idk if I call one great teacher better than another. He is interesting. That’s important. Marty is too. As well as Karl Brown.
Have enjoyed learning this gem, cheers Ryan.
I'm glad you enjoyed that JT :)
Nice..
i kind'a seen other vids and yours had additionally help me how to play better the chorus. Giving more option to play along.
Thanks!
STP one of the great bands in the 90s.
glad to hear it a9 - thanks for hanging out!
Ive had too much when Im sitting here at 1:39 looking at that chord and thinking to myself ....”Gee that looks like Creep.”
HAHAHA i've done that recently with someone's cover of a song I was teaching someone!!
Yippee skippy. Just discovered your STP playlist. Gonna toughen up my wimpy fingertips now.
oh yikes - good luck to you kow!
Awesome as usual Ryan! Great lesson.
thanks RE!
Dude! That was fun.

Supreme
I'm very glad you liked that :)
Great lesson. Thank you
you're welcome Daisy, thanks for being here :)
Thanks Sir. 👍👏👏✌️🇲🇽
welcome sir
Thanks!! Acoustic please
Great job Ryan! Super informative lesson. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but would you be able to post a video of you playing through the whole song? I have everything written down and am playing through but feel like I am messing up the strumming pattern on the pre-chorus. Thanks in advance!
super glad you found that helpful Derek. I give you permission to strum however you like. As long as you switch chords at the right time the strumming will fall into place with time and feel :)
Thanks for doing the songs the people want
hehe. the people being you? :)
Great work Ryan!!! Could you teach Cready Stomp by Pearl Jam... great instrumental from the vs era included in the remastered version. Thanks!
oh man I have heard that one, and just gave it a listen... it's going to be tricky to tease out each guitar with all that distortion! anyhow, short answer: yes of course :)
Yes, good lesson. Thanks Man. please, for the next play "my hero" by foo figthers. 😉😅
Thanks RB! I've done two videos on my hero :)
Great video! If you happen to know Fight or Fall by Thin Lizzy I would love to see a lesson :)
thanks for the request WS!
Love it so much
I totally thought that video was going to be a dud and it totally was not :)
Jezuuuuz you had long hair! Used to have that too!
every so often I grow it out "just one more time".
You missed one little detail! On the second beat of the a minor in the precumchorus he, takes his index finger off the chord! You can hear it on the somg
noice!
I cannot believe it... This one was also in my band (now former) setlist... Lol
😎
we obviously have similar taste :)
Nice Ryan. Thank you
you're very welcome surfer dude
Learning it next. Also following you on Spotify. Request: Kill in the name, RATM. :)

Hello to you too :)
Ryan Lendt hello friend...rock on, simply rock on ! 🤘
yeah we have the same favourite open chord ^^
B7 for life baby
Thanks !!!
you're welcome :)
I would give an offering of lettuce if you did "Creep" by TLC. How it would be done...well, you're the maestro; I think you'd figure that out ;)
that's a funny idea
Hey man I came across a song my bandmaters and I were really into together in the early 2000's. I don't know a lot of Raitt's other work but this song... hot damn man its like the symphony of the devil. Thoughts?
ruclips.net/video/vGlfN-GZ1gI/видео.html
that tune has a nice feel to it... kinda dark like that one headlight song by the wallflowers. Do you want me to tackle it?
Have you also done Interstate Love song
I second this.
I think that's three for ILS! thanks guys :)
Can you throw PLUSH in as well? Thanks
Your lessons are the best!!!!
Plush On The List!! Love that song :)
A man once had to take a Bus Trip just to learn to play the B7 chord.....
that trip must have been totally worth it
Ryan Lendt Ask Paul McCartney. Besides, is there really any other way to resolve to E? W
Again. Dean is best of da best. Is he playing in other bands rather than STP?
not a clue in the world
I already knew how to play it but I watched it anyways
+2 points for you :) if you save up your points you can cash them in for worthless baubles like at chucky cheese
Ryan Lendt sweet, maybe I can get a super useful spinner
Beginner. Lol. Thanks for the video
pleasure
if you must copy do your own version
Namaste.
downward dog
Temple of the downward dog. All jokes aside. Really enjoy your videos and your grungy sensibilities Ryan. I'm gonna learn this one proper later today. Keep it up man.
you get lost on tangents some times but other than that good video
that's my favorite thing about myself.
But the tangents are the best! Ryan’s tutorials are fantastic. Enlightening and entertaining. And his song selection is my life in the nineties.
i dont even play thees chords and get this song
0:26
Em7
1:16
please put your own original sounds to thees songs i doo
Hope to God that was not Zbigenue Brzezinski
i don't know who that is but me too!?
@@RyanLendt dude, he was like the Secretary of State after Kissinger in the 1970s. A very bad guy. His daughter Mika Brzezinski is a major talking head for liberals on like MSNBC or something.
@@RyanLendt by the way! You're teaching technique is something I really respond to, Thank you very much.
That coirce was mostly wrong
Its e a d e ... then the e 5 7 a 5 7 e 5 6 7
I...uh, need more and better. BTW, can you hook me up with whatever you're on?
just life baby
Too much information bro slow down
you can slow me down - watch it at 75% speed
@@RyanLendt but thank you im learning alot from you appreciate you
