The world losing Scott breaks my heart. He was troubled yet so talented. I adored him, still do. He talks about some of his troubles with Howard Stern in a youtube video interview, things from his book, which I am buying. RIP Scott. I've listened to Interstate Love Song every day for many months, sometimes several times a day, I just can never get sick of it. Now it needs to be treasured with him gone.
Dude Howard stern rips dude apart in that interview. Sad as fuck. Lost respect for Howard on that. He attacked him almost the whole time. Especially when he talks about being raped. Almost couldn’t watch the rest of the video.
This kind of music isn't dead by far my friends. The media has just made it harder to find. All you have to do is look, and it's there, where it's always been, in our hearts.
I was there. Great show. I remember it being as hot as piss, about 90 and humid as shit. Those where the good ole days. I went to the first three Rolling Rock town fairs. Fun times
Max Cady I forgot to add that the heat index was 97 and the dew point was 72. Visibility was 3.1 miles and the mean wind speed was 4.85 mph. Precipitation 0.0. I remember very well that my handy pocket barometric pressure gauge was holding a steady 30.97 for most of the day.
Still shattered with the passing of Scott. What a performance and what a crowd. So happy to have experienced gigs through the 90's. Like others have commented "no phones"...people just enjoying that moment. #bringbackthe90s
What a great frontman. Such a loss. This album was my first ever CD that was given to me from someone that didn’t like the album, their loss. RIP Scott.
I was at this show. A week later, they played this video on Comcast Pay perview. I recorded it, however, the first viewing started half way through. So my recording essentially went half into the concert and then started at the beginning. Long story short, not only was it a shoddy recording due to circumstances, but I recently wanted to show my boy the tape and I realized that I threw it out with the old VCR , on accident. It was in there because it was the only video tape I played anymore!
One by one all the greats are dying off and nobody is replacing them. There seems to be nothing like the 90s rock and roll and its all gone. RIP Scott, Chris Cornell, Chester. Slayer don't tour any more. The void is real and someone needs to step up and fill it or we will have nothing..
Love STP so much reminds me of growing up and high school! Their music is amazing and timeless! I got back stage @ River Rave in 98' and met Scott! I also got to stand on the side of the stage while they played, it was amazing to be on stage with them as they rocked! I just wish it didn't start pouring out or I would have had more time with Scott after the show..... Anyway I will cherish that memory! All the music greats are gone from the 90's now! I wish they still had concerts at the rolling rock town fair I remember the mud slide concert here every one turned the grass hill side into a mud slide it was a wild time
Interesting that Robert DeLeo's vocal ( backing harmony ) " as I feel the dawn fades to grey" in the original song and clips inc. unplugged is done once - in later years I'm half the man I used to be has repetitious... fade to grey ... it actually suits this song. People underestimate the musicianship that came out of a lot of the grunge bands. The chord changes in Vasoline are beyond the grunge image.....dope

I really love that he had the audience sing the "creep" line. My favorite song lyric.

It makes me sad seeing him look like a skeleton when a decade before this he looked so young. Idc tho I'll never stop being a fan..
Have you seen his shows from 2015? Scott looks like ghost, acts like zombie and can't even sing his own song... I cryed when I whatched that
I think he was the skinniest with velvet revolver then gained weight around 2010 then fell off again and passed away in 2015
