  • If you are sick and tired of feeling unable to turn through the ball, and your rotation is stalling, then I bet this video will be an eye-opener!
    🔑🌪️ [FREE] Unlock a Rotational Golf Swing with Milo's 5KEYS: milolinesgolf....
    It's time to get the energy out front and complete the corner! I work with students every day who struggle to turn, rotate, and open up. The lead side fails to get out of the way, with the lead hip and shoulder blocking the exit. There is a fear that rotation can be a bad thing, but I'm here to set the record straight and share with you that unwinding through the ball and past impact can be both natural, and ideal for power and efficiency!
    Let's get the idea of hitting at the ball out of our minds and work on swinging through the ball, having the golf ball merely get in the way of our good movement! After all the target is the target, not the ball. You'll also get to see one of my favorite drills for rotation and to help practice these concepts. I hope you enjoy this episode and look forward to your feedback.

    This is great. The more I study your swing and you help me improve mine (I’m a member of your academy), the more I think “Man, I have all the right pieces here. I just need to remove some things.”
    I reset to Foundation 2 and use this “sand the flood” drill and the ball flight is insane. Effortless, long and straight.
    Need to get it more consistent, but we’re moving in the right direction.

    Incredible! Hi Milo I’m big fan from Sweden. Do you have a program or course that is suitable for a beginner that covers everything you need? I really agree with everything you’re saying and would like to start from the fundamentals like stance setup etc. with your teachings. These are just golden nuggets and lack the bigger picture.

    Hi Milo,
    When I learned to rotate through the ball better I temporarily lost my down through the ball with my arms. I was so focused on rotating I was not allowing my arms to naturally straighten. So I was hitting a lot of thin shots.
    I had to add back in relaxed extension with the arms. I feel like my goal is to allow my arms to straighten a foot after the ball. It’s really making sure that there’s less tension at impact.
    Have you seen or experienced that before?
    Hope all is well,
    Alan

    I’ve been struggling with swinging at the ball forever. When you complete the swing through impact are you towing or pulling the handle through and around? Rather than pushing the club head at the ball, which is what I do I think.

    Milo, I am stuck on something. Measurements show that the pros' hands are moving their fastest at the right hip before impact, and then decelerate through impact and the rest of the swing. However, trying manufacture this seems difficult. Should we just ignore that knowledge and feel like we are accelerating through impact? Should we try to accelerate the hands all the way through to the end of the swing?

    • @MiloLinesGolf
      @MiloLinesGolf  4 месяца назад +1

      That depends on how you do it. I generally like to feel like I’m trying to keep the club accelerating well beyond the ball.

      @@MiloLinesGolf Thank you. Yes I think it's one of those feel vs real things. Perhaps gravity and the arms being attached the torso at the start of the downswing is why the hands reach max speed there, before being flung off the body towards the target and then up/in. But I suppose we should still keep them moving and the deceleration will happen no matter what.

      You might not be flexing your torso enough or at all (just after transition) You have to be prepared to hit it fat, you won’t but initially you will feel it is bound to be hit fat. If you keep turning you wont hit it fat, you’ll hit it late using lag, 👌

    This seems to work wonders for you. I'm just perplexed at how you don't hit the ball a mile left with that much torso rotation. If my shoulders are anywhere past square to the target line at impact, it's going left.

    • @MiloLinesGolf
      @MiloLinesGolf  4 месяца назад +2

      With proper sequencing, bends, and wrist/arm conditions. Think of a baseball hitter as they tow the barrel. Rotation, especially chest rotation, is far misunderstood in my opinion and can be healthy and most powerful. Here's another video that could be useful in explaining: ruclips.net/video/6yRnvPbCE6Y/видео.html

      There’s a lot more tilt than rotation in the shoulders. The way most high handicappers swing, the shoulders are too flat going through the ball, and yes, this will send the ball a mile left.

  • @HolyGrailOfGolf
    @HolyGrailOfGolf 4 месяца назад

    I have to respectfully disagree. The ball IS our primary target and the green or fairway is our secondary target. If we can't hit the ball properly achieving the secondary target is nearly impossible. The problem with golf is that people are too concerned with the "fairway or green target" so they never learn to strike and control the ball properly. Finally, "hitting through the ball," a term we've all heard many times, actually means nothing at all. It's physically impossible to hit "at" the ball. It really comes down to throwing the clubhead at the ball compared to truly swinging the whole club.
    I've recently had to coin a new phrase "Unconscious Proficiency Delusion" or UPD ... it's the unconscious belief that proficient players have, that they think they know exactly what they're doing and when when in reality they don't and they only THINK they do. If you've ever seen someone say, "I just do this," and then demonstrate something totally different ... that's UPD. So Milo, the ball is actually "something you're aiming at," it's just that you've learned to do it so well, that you no longer think about it, so you're unaware of it. The average player actually fears missing the ball and believe that if they don't actively make sure the club hits the ball, it won't happen. You and I know it's actually hard to miss but most people never get past that fear of missing the ball.

    • @MiloLinesGolf

      Thanks for watching. The principles I teach come from many thousands of hours teaching thousands of golfers over the last decade. I have found them to be the most effective concepts and I have seen them transform the swings and games of nearly every student that has given me the privilege of coaching them. Your idea of unconscious proficiency delusion is interesting. I guess those that work with me all become delusional 😂

    • @HolyGrailOfGolf
      @HolyGrailOfGolf 4 месяца назад

      @@MiloLinesGolf In a way that would be a good thing. I'm not saying you're wrong. What's interesting is that children don't care where the ball goes they only want to hit it. So, after they learn to hit it, then the figure out where it goes and how to make it go where they want, whereas adults are always trying to make the ball go where they want so they rarely learn to hit it properly. By putting the secondary target first they're preventing themselves from learning how to hit the primary target.

      @@HolyGrailOfGolf interesting but very different from my experience teaching children.
