I love the look of the fastback - but I believe it would be a huge handicap for how we use ours on and off-road. Yours is looking good - who said there is any such thing as "bolt-on" - some assembly may be required! LOL

Yes I agree, my first rig I wheeled a lot at my local off road park, for this one I plan to make it a nicer daily with the occasional overlanding trip through Arkansas trails in the National Forrest so nothing too gnarly. Visibility and weight are the two biggest cons of the slant back.

Medieval Torture device 🤣... It's coming up nice Kevin. Envy that garage. BTW, Turbo still in plan?

Thanks Jidesh! Turbo is still in the plans but not right away. Trying to piece everything together I need is tough without it costing an obscene amount of money.

Use RainX. No more wipers in regular rain.

Good tip, ill give it a try. I'll still use wipers for bugs and snow.

I'm trying to decide on the Federal Military parts doors or Kentucky surplus doors. 🍻🇺🇸

I'd be interested to see what you choose. I worked with both vendors, and there is definitely pros and cons to both. Finding a reliable person to sell doors is hard to find.

How are those doors working for you?

I am slowly but surely getting them fitted up. I must admit its been a major challenge to get the latches working and the upper part of the doors to clear the roof. Every Humvee is different so that could be playing a factor in all this.

Ya...they should just push closed with one finger...sure. I had to add the shims under the latches, still isn't enough so my doors need some extra effort to reach the double latch position. Even though the doors are heavy, they seem to flex more than expected. I'd like to compare them to the 1/4 inch aluminum or fiberglass doors to know if their more rigid.

@@benjilacombe7478 Yeah I had to do a whole lot of "custom" work on the catches lol. Not sure what I'm doing wrong if anything. I can blame them being too tall on the fact that these are aftermarket doors trying to be made to work with a factory slant back roof. I'm sure they work a lot better with the FMP roofs.
