Humvee interior upholstery and insulation

installing Noico Red 8mm foam and carpet into a Humvee for insulation and sound deadening effects. Carpet was generic outdoor carpet from Lowes/ Home Depot. The tape is aluminum ducting tape

Did it make a big difference?

It has a gas motor which is quieter than the diesel, but it is very well insulated (I feel no heat on the tunnel where it's covered )- but I also put heat shielding in underneath. It is effective in deadening the drum sound when you hit the metal body with your knuckles. I tried to geek out and really optimize the results, and would say it we overall very effective even when being picky.

Brother sorry for telling you this but you ruin your humvee. You remove a cross bar that is part of the balance of the vehicle and it makes it unstable just to do carpet do some research and try to fix the damage
