Something happens to Conan when he is talking with or about comedians he admires, and I think it's where he shines the most because can not hide his admiration.
@@inspectorgadget346 It's been tough the past few years to find stuff to laugh about, but I try and do my best to find humor in all situations. I have gone back and revisited old routines and classic bits, as well as sought new comedians. I hope anyone who has a hand in comedy truly understands the impact they make. It may seem like silly farce in the moment but it can change a lot in a person's life, even if it is just for that moment. Thank you for a genuinely wonderful response. I hope you are also finding humor and good health.
I've always wondered whether the 2,000 year old man routine would play to a modern audience. New comedians doing the parts, perhaps Steve Martin as the "Interviewer" and I can't imagine the comedian to fill Mel Brooks' shoes but Robin Williams comes to mind had he lived, possibly Chris Tucker, Chris Rock...
If you want the kinda relationship that Mel Brooks and Carl Reiner had and want Steve Martin as the Interviewer then the only choice for the 2000 year old man is Martin Short

Carl Reiner is a national treasure, it's so great to see him in good health and sharing his stories still, we love you!
Carl Reiner is a legend. I'm only 34 but I remember listening to this skit laughing my head off on road trips. There is magic in old routines.
Jason I know your post is 4 years old but I hope you are still laughing throughout the years.

@@jasonflay8818 sometimes the silliest things hold more meaning than we'd think. It's great that you've been handling things pretty well! Best of luck
This damn dude's 95.
let's hope he will make it to 120 without aging a day :)
SlavjanA he still seems to have a sharp mind
@@kevboard he died
Is it just me or is Conan's hair looking extra spicy?
Keila Escalante nah spicey is gone. Then came the Mooch and now I don't even know, but he will surely be replaced in a few days/weeks
My guy looks like Mary from ''Something About Mary'' after using Ben Stiller's ball juice as hair gel.
This man is sharper at 95 than I will ever be, EVER. Absolutely legendary.
Frikking legend! Guys still going strong! Him and Mel are still sharp to this day.
I love when he visits Conan, always such interesting things to say.. i can watch the stuff he talks abt and catch up on the history of american comedy
Carl Reiner is still kicking! He speaks and acts like nothing changed! 😊 I'd like to be as youthful as he is when I reach his age. That is, IF I can
Conan's hair looks like a giant shredded wheat biscuit.
I hope I'm half as sharp as Carl at his age here. So wonderful to see. Rest in peace, Carl. We'll miss the heck out of you.
Carl RULES! A national treasure!
R.I. P. Carl Reiner. You'll be missed :(
Loved seeing this interview
Conan's hair is higher than usual.
Oh hi me from two years ago.
RIP, what a legend!
I think while Reiner and Brooks are still alive, they should do a "Follow Up Interview" after the 2000 Year Old Man cartoon.
GREAT CARL
Rest In Peace Carl Reiner♥️🌹
Rip, good man.
Absolute classic. Personally my fav is the 2013 year old man. 😃😃😃😃😃😃
He's so cuteeeeee

Conan's hair is higher than Kim Jong-il's.
immortal reiner!!
Great comedy from a time when we could find humor in our differences.
My favorite part was you never eat fried food that’s how you get to 2,000 years old.
RIP Carl Reiner
We lost a legend today...so does Carl meet God, or Phillip?
"There's something bigger than Phil..."
RIP Carl.
$3.40/yard for sail!
Niall mcginn talk about he serving world war 2
RIP carl.
Little known fact: He and Mel Brooks are both Messianic Jews.
Untrue
how is he still alive
Irony Steven allen died in 2000.
Confused how that's irony.
What a dull crowd...clueless and hardly acknowledging
Conan or Woody Woodpecker...?
see, there were oversensitive people back then too. Who would be offended by Mel Brooks, the most Jewish person alive, doing a Jewish accent?
It’s Lord Jesus Christ and He’s your God and we’ll ALL answer to Him one day. Repent from sin, and turn to Lord Jesus Christ today.
Nice guy. Didn't buy anything.
RIP Carl Reiner
