This video is absolutely gold! My truck almost ran away and it s absolutely frightening! Make sure you have a towel ready to cover the intake so you can shut it off orbit will the noted will destroy itself.
It was a very close call for me “it was terrible” take all your safety precautions and safety first.

Memory refreshed. Thanks. I should have taken a video when I did the ‘62 years ago. Good tip on popping up the injectors.

I have changed out O rings on Hydrolic head all three. Bypassed FDC. Runs awesome power on hills etc. When it warms up and I let off throttle to shift or stop in idles down and almost stalls, doesn't stall but it stumble just a sec and then Idles. Prob around 7000 rpm

Mine will not start... thinking its the sleeve for the fuel shut off stuck, but my arm that is safety wired moves and springs back freely. Do you think I need to remove it? would the arm move free if the shutoff sleeve is stuck?

bro what about some sort of emergency shut-off? maybe an electric solenoid for the fuel? the thoughts of a runaway engine is disturbing

Only happens if you did something wrong. Not worth the trouble.

My fuel filters are leaking bad. Would you suggest replacing the o rings or put spin on filters on?

I'd suggest spin on filters if you can afford it.

Would you happen to know the part no. and how they cost? Also, can I still get the o rings?

I am curious about two things, do you turn the engine over by a ratchet on the crank pulley bolt? Also do you have a video about the droop screw. I am not sure what that is. Although it seems to be a problem I am having because my truck will not go to seven o’clock. It stops at 6.

I put the transmission in 5th gear and the transfer case in neutral, the turn the jackshaft between them with a prybar to roll the engine over.
There's some video about the droop on one of my videos here but I can't remember which one. If adjusting it doesn't fix your issue then you have some worn parts in the pump.

@@tacticalrepair Thanks, I have turned the engine by the pressure plate the past two times I replaced a hydraulic head, your way sounds much easier
