A lot of people say the M12's are really narrow, and maybe they are, but I bought the same size as my shoe size (US Men's 13) and they fit perfect for me despite my big feets. They were really tight the first couple times I put them on, I had already filled out the return form and everything, but I decided to keep going and give the liner a chance to break in and they loosened right up.
the same happened when Valo was operating at full steam, purchased a pair of AB.1 in white (which are still in pretty good condition, fingers crossed) and a lot of people where complaining about narrowness but to me they fit very comfortably, and my feet aren't small to be honest...
Another great thing about the Dogmas is that you can skate them without lacing the boots, just lace the skins. This allows the boot to flex more and gives you a bit more space. You can also toe cut the shell to give yourself even more room.
I loved the valo era..one of the coolest teams ever tbh, but I hated valos. I never tried the fifth element but I want to. I had no idea they had more room than m12's. In order for valos (m12) to fit me, I'd of had to go up to like size 10 and I didn't want to do that. I actually did the toe cut to mine back in the days and it still didn't help... So I gave them away to my friend. It was a dope set-up too, all white skin with the gray sole plates and light gray buckle, they were so sexy and I wanted them to work but they just didn't smh. Hopefully I can get around to trying 5th's as one thing I've always liked about roces is that buckle.
I have the dogmas and found that I had terrible fit. (My feet are a touch wide) I found taking the tongue out from beneath the elastic on the liner to above it helped immensely
14:18 you mentioned that you didn’t change the liner and said you would talk about it, but you didn’t circle back and I’m very curious why you preferred the stock liner?
@@RicardoLino I like your particular way of pronouncing ROCES (which I'm not used to, since in Spanish we always do it like the actual word that would roughly mean '(shallow) scratches', 'brushes', or 'grazings' to name a few) and maybe it's the correct way of doing so since they're Italian and I don't have a single clue of how they pronounce it even having had ROCES skates since being a teenager...
Hey everyone, which skates for aggressive (sorry that's how I knew it in the past) are best suited for wide feet? Me thinks Fifth Element, USD Shadow, maybe Razors? Could I get a little help on this? I am a more wide footed person, and I used to take my foot out of my skate and my pinky toe would be totally numb and without circulation.
Hello, Ricardo! Greetings from Latvia. Can you please specify 5th Element shell sizing? We could not find this info on the web, so maybe you are able to help with such information.
@@clever805 Honestly, for the price you pay for the Dogmas right now. You're getting the full set up, I haven't found any tweaks or changes I've needed personally. I love the skate as is.
@@clever805 stock bearings (and pretty much any good enough bearing out there) are way more than enough to skate for years... the ABEC standard just was used on us customers like a marketing gimmick having everyone out there think that ABEC-7 make you roll efortlessly and coast for miles and ABEC-1 will make you stop after half a second... 5Es are sooo heavy. I figure it’s a good thing for stability? As a beginner aggressive skater. I hope. Either that or it will make my jumps difficult. Thoughts?
@@GerdGuchl yeah 5ths might be better but some people like the open toe or toe cut option right now i skate my valos like a shoe way more my comfy then skating them with a super narrow shell like i can fit a crown liner in my valos
You know who has slim feet? Girls don't they just get shoes that cripple their feet, why do us guys need to do the same NO! I refuse to wear sport shoes that are tiny at the front only. No one has feet that go tiny at the front where your fingers are.
Have you ever played hockey? Or done wizard skating? Or urban skating? You need a snug fit for the boot to move one with your feet and not have your feet swim around the boot.

Its a shame they don't make the Fifth Element or Dogma up to size 15 like they do the m12. Not a lot of options.

I love hardware breakdowns like this!
Thank you. I filmed it the day before but it didn’t felt “geeky”
Enough.. so I ended up filming it again. I’m happy you like these 🙏🏻🤜🏻💥🤛🏻

This is public service! Thank you so much ! 🔥 As always.
Aspect ratio fits perfectly on my Z Fold 3! Love it!
Instead of using the 5th element soul plate, do you think its time for the m12 to get an updated/new soul plate?
At the very least they should come with wheel wells. Every skate manufacturer needs to get with the times on this, not just Adapt and Them.

Thanks for the simple (and cheap) thing to try, don't need it myself (i wear my valo ab.1 comfy and almost true to size) but helpful to know.

i m curious about the RL2 (Ricardo Lino 2) liners 😁
This knowledge, will help me in the future

Very well done video, explained very well !!!
I want the fifth elements. especially these ones or the all whites.
praying for a boot ahah, great video Lino! Thanks
ha, reminds me of that pal broadcast show. appropriate!
Ricardo, you seem to do alot with the roces over the years, would you say they are one of your favourite skates?

as being my favorite Im bad at it...I go though phases with my skating but I for sure love them...the 3 models...

good afternoon! my foot is 255mm what would be the ideal size of the skate with the standard line on the 5th element
New aspect ratio makes it look old school.

It should make you develop your muscles if you keep at it, that's for sure.
what about the shock absorbers and the linners?
hope roces goes back to the valo lites
isnt the 5th the better option? there were nothing but problems with the lights, breaking shells, damaging every liner on the inside etc..

Why do you keep pronouncing it as if it's a roach?
Apparently I should be saying the word like “ROT-CHESS” as it’s an Italian word 🤷🏻♂️ I can’t saying consistently.. hehehe
Potato... PO TAT O
Because you say it correctly as if it were an English word. He tries to appease Italians by saying this 'Roh-chez' nonsense.
Thinking of trying Roces skate for the first time. Wondering what’s your MP ? Cheers
