@@Owen-np3wf Of course it does, warplanes failed so hard that in order to salvage the time spent on the assets they have quadrupled down on aircraft presence in warships. I am just waiting for them to figure out how to give subs some sort of plane mechanic since every other class has at least one ship that can do some sort of attack with planes. That or a Hybrid DD.

"Just dodge" doesn't seem to be working anymore - they get me every time. Maybe an aircraft buff that nobody mentioned in the release notes.

World of warplanes update is insane
WG is monetizing a "I Survived a triple Hildebrand Division" T-Shirt. Requires for purchase doubloons or cash PLUS a screenshot showing player game summary with player alive and presence of opposing Hildebrand division. As a value added bonus: If the Hildebrand division includes PQ, MalteseKnight or FLAMU, you will receive a special commemorative gold colored version of the T-Shirt, consistent with your excellence in survival.
Hybrids should be their own classification now that we have so many. Feels bad when the enemy gets three or four hybrids and your team gets none.
Don't forget no radar in your team but the enemy has five. 😢

No Hybrid ship have the strenght of Hildebrand. Despite the DMG, the problem is that it have the plane capacity of an aircraft carrier, making it the stronger hybrid ship in game till now. Louisiana is not that strong, eaven before the nerf. I played against an Hildebrand Trio. I was forced to push all 3 with my Ohio to get at least 1 down. It worked but i had to sacrifice to help balancing the team.
Being the Shima in the first game I might need another week or two before I can forgive you.

This always gets me. DD is spotting while team parked behind an island. You should never be parked anywhere your a sitting duck and useless if you don't have at least LOS to the DD.
This ship caused me to uninstall the game. I main DDs so planes are already frustrating but this ship was just to much for me when there's already a CV a Sub and probably one other hybrid making my time in WoW unfun.
Many people seem to agree - the number of DDs in matches seems to have dropped drastically.

There is nothing to adapt to. Try playing DD in a round with a CV, a couple of subs and a triple Hildebrandt division. Try it.
Honestly I just stopped playing anything above T7 the last few months, my enjoyment has gone up somewhat, but I'm still going closer and closer to just stopping playing the game altogether, WG really has taken a lot of the fun and pushed variety out the window.
I main dds too. I just refuse to play games with Hilde, they are just unplayable. Ruins stats and averages, but it’s the only counterplay.

🦾🌟 Hey @PotatoQuality very glad you put this video out and made the points you made. Opening bit with the World of Warplanes was icing on the cake. The aerial spotting is so completely broken in this game generally, but made so much worse by this ship... There is also zero justification to allow hybrid with hybrid divs, or sub with sub divs, for the same reason there are no CV with CV divs. And CV and hybrid divs should also be prevented IMO. I think WG watches your videos and takes notes but what that will lead to is anybody's guess. Appreciate you speaking truth!

In all honestly all hybrids are a problem. Maybe that'll change with CV re-rework but as it stands these ships have the same free spotting as CVs and get no punishment for losing squadrons since reload time is always the same regardless of how many are lost. Now on the other hand they're a problem to their own team since players think they're CVs with guns instead of ships with planes so they go hiding all game slinging planes instead of playing the objective.

There was no problem at all in a recent match against 2 x CVs, 2 x Kearsarges and 1 x Hildebrand. My Oland had a great time - for about 30 seconds before they found and killed me. I should have just headed for the backline.

@@skarhabekgreyrukh8601 I was referring to OP's idea of an airplane carrying ship-only battle. Which ship do you go after first since they're all annoying? The CVs? The hybrid BB? The hybrid CAs? Or the Halfords?
@@skarhabekgreyrukh8601 It is useless, evry skilled carrier player know how to counter, or better, if fighters are in flight first drop will start for shure, then the CV player leave for evade the trigger. Your Ship is now uncovered from fighters and the carrier can focus you. You just bought time not solution.
Also you have 4 fighters most carriers have huge squadrons, so loose 4 is anyway a good deal for 2/3 drops, plus with new fighters build mechanic, the carrier can eaven use his fighters for tryng to counter your fighters. But the best come now, fighters are totally useless against single drop squadrons :D

As we all know a DD survival gives you the spotting, well you don't need DD's to spot anymore, its not the damage it's the spotting. And those Dive bombers on DD's are one shot kills too.

Hybrids really need to be a seperate class, an imbalance in numbers is horrendous.

Also PQ, why dont you use hybrids to go snipe the enemy carriers, if you can load up a full division of say 3 Kearsarge's, whats an enemy carrier going to do to be able to compete against it?
I never seen a more op ship in my life. 20k on the first drop is insane. It makes a regular cv obsolete almost. The he bomb pen and accuracy is insane. Thr circle is tiny. Heals on planes is also crazy lol

I think they are pronounced T A 152, the T A is for Kurt Tank the designer at Focke Wulf. They were high altitude fighter/interceptors, the very idea they would have been used on Carriers is ludicrous.
They look like 190 Dora to me. . . TA is much larger.
And yes - a TA 152 on a CV is ridiculous.
At least the TA 152 is a Plane that existed, cant be said of most of the recent additons to the game ^^. Maybe a slight comfort to the Tier X DD getting oneshotted trying to contest a cap.

The size of the reticle and the alpha damage is insane. Literally HE bombs that do AP damage. And set fires. Because why not.

This is how Cheater musst feel in Shooter or Survival Games when they use GodMode oder Wallhacks and some stuff like that. But here in World of Warship you can grief other Player complete legal you just have to pay 100 Dollar or something 🤣

i think the issue is that if you have more than one of these you can really force enemy ships into situations that get them killed- or close so you halt an entire flank sometimes.
Combined with the gameplay of the current playerbase being very campy anyone who pushes gets punished massively hard.
If anything i'd make the cooldown of the planes longer and one puts the other on CD for a set amount of time so you aren't working around whenever they're off CD.
But yeah these ships force the enemy into dying by your team more- which is how they're broken without doing more damage.
I'd also consider making ASW longer range- which doesn't make them more effective because of travel time, and also reduce it to one at like 10% cd for only one squad so subs are an issue for hybrid's.
and also i'd make the spread on both wider, the first plane shot down by AA that middle torp plane, and the other two planes wide spread torpedos unless fully aimed.
That could help, the every 5 minute nuke besides making that area a little bigger i'd leave it and just make it so you have to use your guns more, ASW is abit shitter and torpedo planes are less reliable, also cut their spotting by 30% so they can't see as far as normal carriers i'd even make it so they can only see DD's when much closer- but i'd do that for every plane type but rockets imo.
I've joined 2 ganes with 3 man hilde div, the first time I've actually thought of just suiciding and moving to the next game.
Sorry if this is a dumb question but is there a limit to how many hybrids you can have on a team? And how do hybrids effect the matchmaker like does a hybrid substitute a cv or is a hybrid bb and hybrid cruiser just like any other ship?
As far as I can see the matchmaker does not take any account of hybrids. It just pumps in CVs, BB, cruisers, DDs and subs. If all the hybrids are on one team, it's too bad.

In a Balti, I ran into a Div of a Louisiana, gueden leuww and a hildenbrand, was super fun, 1.5 mil potential damage in 1st four minutes. Nothing wrong with planes in this game

i was playing the napoli in gold rank this week, it's my first time to have the luck of getting in, and guess what? here comes the hildebrand, those bomber are nukes, even if they have very long reload, it's too strong, got nuked multiple times when i was trying to kill the enemy, guess what? i died, my god, it is even impossible to dodge the bombs since it has round dispersion and just could come in at every angle, that's not even mentioning the fucking planes, welcome to world of warplanes, please just put the thunderer back for coal, it's just seems so, balanced compared to this, as a wish from a british bb player, if hildebrand is tolerable, why isn't the thunderer
Only 3............. Worst game EVER. CV, 2 Hybrids and 4 Hildebrands. Planes covered the entire map. I was in the Louisiana and i could not even use my own planes to get a clear strike cos plane were everywhere and in your line of sight on drops etc. It was a mess. This game is out of control. They need to stop this 4 player divisions of Hildebrands.
I honestly re-uninstalled the game because of the Hildebrand, after just getting back... This ship is beyond toxic and I can't stand all the new hybrid/CVs, completely ruins the game.
I got one from the free coal container, I'm not the only one, WG seem to have been giving these out like sweets.

the other ships are definitely finding this fun and engaging. the assashio definitely had fun, but frankly, any other boat in these videos was having a very enjoyable experience facing the 3 man div of these things.

T10 has become such a shitshow there is no balance left. Op ships everywhere.
Tbh all Hybrids are Ridiculus in Trippke Divi. Its the Same Kind of OP as if you take 3 Shimakaze or 3 Ohaio.
But yes the Hildebrand is Strong, but that is something you should Expect from a T10 Ship. Plus once your Open with that Thing your the Prime Target for the entire Enemy Team. So in my Eyes its like with all New Ships. They are OP for the First 2 to 4 Weeks till pepole Learned how to Conter these Ships and then the Crying Stops.
PS: i might be Biased as i was Lucky and had the Hildebrand in the 24k Coal Container and didnt spent a Single Cent on getting her.

got this in my 3rd crate, and heard al lot about how completely OP it is, but after 5 or 6 games I rarely break 50k damage in it, it's just a ship I really suck with I guess. Those target bombers are repulsive though, especially for a dd, and I don't think the 4 minute cooldown is any consolation to someone getting 1shot from a squad that is more or less immune to all but the heaviest AA.
Still I think this will almost definitely be nerfed or they are simply waiting for the CV rework.

Now that I have it myself I realised just how broken the ship is, 68 Second CD on Torp planes, sure, the damage is not the highest but 9.5 k with 3 hits every 70 seconds is broken, then the ship is quite tank for a cruiser, since it's German it obviously gets a turtle back, then you got fairly good seconderies, and then there are the guns, I went with reload mod, so I got 13.something second reload, on guns that rip BB's in half, they are also quite accurate. Got like 18.6 km range with the reload mod, not great, not terrible.
The only balancing factor is the planes have no HP at all, they vanish extremely quickly, so I found myself really not getting a lot of torps and bombs off most of the time.
this is why i will play boats once in a while but i refuse to spend money on this game anymore. WG is greedy and totally out of touch with its player base. Carriers take all fun out of the game and subs are just a money grab.
This ship is the new cancer of the game.
