I love building roads so much in stellaris I do it the same every time, building hyperlanes to each province capital to the capital, then doing that to vassal capitals, and using other construction ships to build hyper relays to cover the path that other construction ships are taking to buld theirs. Its so dumb and autstic but it makes my brain click right
Saint puts out entire 4 hour runs faster than I can watch them. This one was genuinely my favourite of the latest DLC though, not super complex but it genuinely felt like an unique take on it. I always get a bit annoyed how Paradox will introduce event chains and decision based events rather than let the game evolve organically. Things like the storm chasers origins feel kind hollow, as I can kinda see how the game is put on rails to deliver the same overall story. The more random "let's crank up the settings and try to do something that goes against the meta" style if refreshing. Plus, Sol has a soothing voice that really puts it all together for a relaxing video to watch at dinner.
I love your playthroughs, always have such interesting ideas for empires, I'm actually copying them all over to add them to my pool of force spawned pre-made empires in my stellaris games. I just wish paradox would fix the bugs with empire biographies so I could actually add the lore into the game too.
Force-spawning empires is such an underrated mechanic, as you can see in this playthrough I made an empire just to force spawn it, just to expand upon the lore. Have any stories of my empires doing something cool in your game?
@@SaintofSol A handful of times yeah, the Cult of Whispers pretty much caused half the galaxy to implode with crime and became such a nuisance to my efforts to make paperclips with the obsessional directive civic that I had to go out of my way, kill three other empires just to eliminate them and stop them building their outposts everywhere. The only other one that springs to mind is the Roman Remnants, who are always a nightmare whenever they pop up in a game, I've never seen them not end up head of a giant federation or conquering half the galaxy if I don't stop them early.
Hey can I suggest a playthrough? I’d love to see a Scion Playthrough who later rebels from their Fallen Empire, and invades the rest, and takes Cosmogenesis, ascends psychically or synthetically, and defeats Cetana!
Loving these videos. Quick question what are you pc specs? I lag like crazy whenever i reach the mid game and it really puts me off playing beyond 2300.
@ 12:04 That’s a pretty cool idea for a sci-fi story. Basicly a galactic version of Cristofer Colobus’s Journey to find a path to make a complete circle around the galaxy’s disk.
Hey there! Just came across your channel and really enjoyed your content.Keep up the great work! Looking forward to seeing how your channel grows. You've got a new subscriber here!
I was just going to suggest you make a fanatic uplifter play through!!! That was such an an interesting new precursor. How would you design a fanatical uplifter run? Besides obvious things like spawning more pre-FTL... I think egalitarian for sure, and either a fanatic materialist, or a spiritualist militarist. StarTrek except the prime directive is to interfere, AKA uplift for fanMat, or zealots who see their own uplifters as gods and seek to become gods themselves the same way for Spir/Military. Become the Grays, Interfere, abduct, influence, PROBE!
I was so excited when i saw in the patch notes that they're finally going to fix the dumb pathfinding ai with the storms. It's been actually insane, and it should've been fixed so much earlier
@SaintofSol yeah unlucky build definitely saw what you were going for i thought that would work too. Although the subsumed world option did work RP wise. Kinda like in Sci-fi where there cannibalize planets to build mega structures in space.
50:10 No, Upkeep means it costs Nanites, not that it produces it :D Im now at 55 minutes and I dont think Nanites are bad with Voidborn. All those Planets can be turned into Nanite Worlds and the deposits in the systems form over time. Lets see if you figure that out :P
Once the new DLC drops, I’m thinking of going with, Here be Dragons origin, beast masters civic, and Agrarian ideal. Since the food buff from Agrarian ideal will help me feed my space whales, boosting their growth rate and birth rate, and also directly in to cloning, which I believe costs a tone of food, and with here be dragons origin, I can start out Peaceful ethic to boost early economy output, with out worrying about losing a war. And also if I loos all my space monsters, because I don’t know how yet to get the most out of them. The Massive space dragon will garenty , I don’t loss the game early, allowing me to build back up my space monster fleet. What are your guys thoughts on these ideas? I also want to try Fruitful partnership origin, and toxic knight origins with the new Beastmaster civic. 😁 I like the idea of Sci-fi space Knights riding space monsters like Dragon Riders. And Fruitful partnership will allow me to attract at least 2 different types of space monsters, since beastmaster start with a space life form breeding system near your home world, so I think you start off with both Amebus and Tianki. O. I forgot, 🤔 here be Dragons, will protect your vivarium mega structure, since I think that is built in your home system most of the time, and if players or AI Conqur or devastate your Vevarium, they steal a portion of your spesimens and Relics too……. Ha ha, that makes me think of maybe trying out an Empire that is a Dungeon themed. 😁 With the final boss being the solar dragon guarding the True Treasures of the Vivarium. 😆 But what would be good to go with these ideas? 🤔 do you guys have any suggestions?….. Ha, both Spesimens, and tamed space monsters, have rarities, 😆 so we really could theme our empire like a Dungeon, 😆 and even take the Nemisis tradition, to become the End game Crisis, 😁
I hear under ground origin got a buff with the latest DLC. Giving each of their colonies some kind of protection from stellar storms. Does any one know what exactly the buff/addition was? And how does it work?

All roads lead to NAME_EMPIRE_CAPITAL
Now i just need to put max storms and hyper overtuned species that dies every second for the ultimate sensory overload.
That would actually be hell, I’ll consider it
Can you build hyperlanes in vassal territory
You can build them in vassal territory yes

1:29:00 Thankfully in the next update they are supposed to be fixing how disruptive storms are to ship pathing.
Good, it was kinda ridiculous
This might just become my Stellaris ASMR from now on. Excellent video bro👍
Love these long videos! Keep up the amazing work. Cannot wait to see how the new DLC will produce a new playthrough eventally

That’s actually really awesome
This is a very cool idea for an empire, I like it

Reference to the Vogons from Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy?

I’ve definitely considered an empire like this, but on the list of exciting ideas for empires, it’s just not at the top right now
@@SaintofSol "They" made you say that....
You know too much…
Man I really wish Paradox could figure something out that wouldn't make the game unplayable in these kinds of scenarios.

Agreed
A like an a comment for the algorithm can’t watch the video right now but I’m sure it is great 👍 ❤
Jeez, these storms are punishing on max settings. Fun playthrough idea though!
Annoying more than anything tbh, plus they don’t mesh well with nanites lol

1:06:07 Provided it's not too windy blowing the sand around, the desert is the optimal place to preserve something. No moisture, so no bacteria.
you have such a comforming voice
Pls do a playthrough where you go down the galactic nemesis crisis and building the “aerophasic engine?” And blowing up the galaxy
Have I really not done that yet? I definitely will at some point

Are we going to see Space Storms in every playthrough from now on?
I’m not sure yet, good question
Rip creators
Keep watching ;)
15mins in and your empire sprawl looks like a cartoon dinosaur 😅🙈🤣
It only gets worse!
I love war exhaustion, also why the hell did you think building 21000 ships would not destroy your game?
Ya know, I just played nanites optimally, and hoped the game could handle it, my bad lol
Not even a NASA supercomputer could survive 21000 nanite swarmers, never underestimate how laggy a paradox game can get.
