I like the jellyfish observatory... now im gonna move my base :D What annoys me is the lack of lead for all those fancy glass roof pieces we all love to have... why on earth they couldn't include a settings option for rarity of elements.... would have been the ticket for base builders...
How did you build on that piece of land shown at 0:30 ? Last time I tried I couldn't place a room because it was to close to the glaciers or the ground was just to uneven.
I had a little bit of trouble finding the perfect spot. I just walked around with the foundation until I found the sweet spot. Once I laid the first foundation I had no more trouble after that.
@@OnigiriSuiko the foundation isn't my problem it's the multi purpose room. I can't place it to close to the glacier because it says it's touching the wall of the glacier and idk why I can't place the room anywhere else on that land. It might just be a console issue.
Very nice base, big enough to support a crew of at least 10. I never build large bases, simply because I'm the only person in the game. Speaking through immersion: why build a large base when a stack of multipurpose rooms is enough? Now, if they ever make a Subnautica multiplayer where you can access the entire planet, you need to set up multiple bases for multiple people, that's a different story.
That would be fun! There is a co op mod for the first Subnautica. I agree the base is over accommodating for just me practically speaking. I just like building things in games. :3

A small base will do the same things and can have great views (I have one above the ventgarden and see the cheliterates constantly). The game is about exploring OUTSIDE of the base , whats the point of a huge ass base to just walk around aimlesly
Video games are mostly about having fun, so people are doing exactly that in their own way. I've been building small, compressed bases myself, but it starts to annoy me, so I'm planning on building a big one.
