I am also intentionally working with Chickweed for this current lunar cycle...although I have felt her with me for over a week now. For me she reminds me that I have the strength, perseverance and stamina to be with What Is. That the only way out is through... or rather the only way through is to be a sacred witness of my own experience (and the experience of others) without creating a narrative or judging the emotions that are expressing. To "shine in the midst of" as she reflects so beautifully. I love how you say she is cool, calm and connected. I feel that too. 🙏🌸

Near Madison, WI there is a Mud Lake that I would go canoeing on with my father or a good friend, Jim that had huge areas covered in cat-tails. The edge of these areas, were nesting areas for the Red Wing blackbirds, but the the inner cores areas, with less wind, are where the yellow-headed blackbirds would nest.
I have so many fond memories of settling into the flow of the pond, watching the dynamics of the nesting birds, the dance of the wind and waves, forcing an ebb and flow between the pond and cattails.

I also have many fond memories of Cattail. Ki has a way of interacting with otherkin--water, birds, wind...--that is mesmerizing. It soothes the soul.
