    What are societal cycles? Like economic cycles?

    • @tigrillagardenia
      @tigrillagardenia 2 месяца назад

      Societal cycles are cycles that connect to elements of shared society, such as culture, politics, and could be even economic. These are shared rhythms that you may not even directly participate in, but are so strong where you live, that they affect you.

    Missed the live unfortunately, but listening to the replay it occurs to me that plants are the primary survivors of all the mass extinction events. As the primary builders of the environment, I wonder how much of this is coincidence.

      The more I study, the more I feel that only using a mechanistic way of looking at the world has really done humanity a disservice. I am not saying that it hasn't been useful at all--I actually think it has to understand the pieces of the puzzle--but even Souza said that it can't account for the fact that often times, the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. That missing piece not accounted for in the sum seems to be where the real magic lies. So no, I don't think there is a coincidence, I think that plants, along with bacteria, fungi, protozoa, and other kin-homes use extinctions to lay a new level of foundation that allows for evolution by experimentation. It's as if it is their playground to come together in new combinations that spark that little bit of magic that allows for new species to emerge.

    A few days ago, I admired how the grass is able to withstand being stepped upon. I imagined, within its design its flexibility, is a strength. It’s only rigidity is that it bounces back. This is representative of one’s own ability to use the weight or burden of being down-trodden as the “pull back” necessary to strive forward. Pulled back (tension) like an arrow held by the bow and not “held down” as we are so often told. The grass, its blades, pierce through, defying gravity with its every stand. I only discovered your channel recently, but I look forward to hearing the good, brewed, medicinal word stew this video will bring. You are a blissing to us all.

    It occurred to me that all the work on plant intelligence has been done on plants, nothing on fungi, except for the discovery that one of the communication routes of trees is via fungi. I have read, (can't confirm from my own experience,) that the DNA of fungi resembles animals more than plants. Perhaps more research in the Fungi Kingdom would reveal some bridges that we have missed. Would like to see more work with fungi.

    • @tigrillagardenia
      @tigrillagardenia 2 месяца назад

      There's more research coming out every day about fungi. Most of it is concentrated around the network formed by the mycelium, but I am not sure if science is talking yet about whether or not the network itself is making decisions. I have seen some papers around bacteria and slime mold, also some about the fungi kin-home with regards to nourishing humans, but you're right, not so many about intelligence. For me she reminds me that I have the strength, perseverance and stamina to be with What Is. That the only way out is through... or rather the only way through is to be a sacred witness of my own experience (and the experience of others) without creating a narrative or judging the emotions that are expressing. Near Madison, WI there is a Mud Lake that I would go canoeing on with my father or a good friend, Jim that had huge areas covered in cat-tails. The edge of these areas, were nesting areas for the Red Wing blackbirds, but the the inner cores areas, with less wind, are where the yellow-headed blackbirds would nest. I have so many fond memories of settling into the flow of the pond, watching the dynamics of the nesting birds, the dance of the wind and waves, forcing an ebb and flow between the pond and cattails.

    Excuse me please, but how is something spiritual supposed to me physical? That's just a contradiction in itself already. 🤔

    • @tigrillagardenia
      @tigrillagardenia 4 месяца назад

      Your thoughts become your reality through your actions. In this way, we constantly manifest the spiritual into the physical. One example is an inventor, who takes an idea in the mind, and turns it into an object. Spiritual thoughts connected to the human spirit or human soul, in the same way, can be materialized through the actions we take in daily life. Does that make sense?

    • @Leftyotism
      @Leftyotism 4 месяца назад

      @@tigrillagardenia Sounds like an excuse to me, but whatever makes sense to you. For me soul is just another word for mind. Also not sure why people tend to try and separate the mind from the physical realm. The mind is physical already, you just can't quite touch it. Just like light, everything is physical. These thoughts seem to be ancient and not quite adapted to modern knowledge, so naturally it all sounds off to me; but maybe you interpret words differently than me. Thanks for elaborating though, I get what you mean. I found it very helpful to accurately formulate the words I think, to get more and more accurate and closer to what I actually mean; if I think in words that is, most of the time I don't think in words anymore. Anyways, good day to you.

    • @tigrillagardenia
      @tigrillagardenia 4 месяца назад

      @@Leftyotism I completely agree with everything you wrote. Words are difficult and, I find, can't really articulate what is understood. For me, soul and mind are also the same. Working with plants has helped me understand that even more, but unfortunately, their lack of human vocabulary makes it hard to express. Just another reason why I think we need a new vocabulary to express a new paradigm of multispecies thought. Not sure if that sentence made sense, but I hope you will feel its meaning. Thank you for the discussion--it helps me better understand my own thoughts.

      @@tigrillagardenia Pleasure. I wouldn't say plants have a mind myself, since that's a concept referring to brains, and that's not even considering consciousness, but they do have life as they are an organism where many things work together. I think plants are more of a reactive being, which react to received sensory information. Just like our body mostly works by itself and doesn't need our consciousness to steer everything. But then again, we tend to separate our thinking from out body. But that's just my view on things at the current time, things might change (as they always do, whether we want it or not).

    • @tigrillagardenia
      @tigrillagardenia 4 месяца назад

      @@Leftyotism The discussions around plant mind, plant consciousness, and plant intelligence are plentiful. If you look through my Plant Consciousness Commentary, you will see that I have covered many of the research papers and studies on these topics. Seeing thinking and the body united, is probably what makes it easier for me to conceptualize the plant mind without needing a brain. Even in myself, similar to an octopus that can sense with a tentacle, I do not feel that all my "thinking" passes through my brain. Movement is a way of thinking that for me, often time seems to bypass logical functions. Again, the lack of words makes it hard to express. Even as I type, my body wants to express the concepts. 🙃
