Hey Rog whats up! Do you have any old skateboard decks or wheels or any product you can hook me up with please? Ive been skating for 20 yrs. I started in high school. I live in Fresno. Your a sick filmer I watched Yeah Right! 1000 times respect!!
I met and skated with Guy and Rudy right before they left Powell and teamed up at Blind. They were great. I'll never forget that night. Ray Barbee, Frankie Hill, Guy and Rudy.
Ha, what a trip... I have a print of the main photo from this shoot right next to me (given to me by Jamie here in this vid at the Skateboarder Magazine office in OC). All legends, and Jamie is one of the most solid and genuinely nice cats I've ever met.
7:12 yeah I was covering the bottom half of his face looking at the eye sockets related to Mullen And Frankie waniewski Winewski And their doppelgangers
Old E. Ha ha. I remember seeing an Old E graphic on a deck hung in FTC back in the early mid 90s. I thought it was a Mike Carroll board. I always wanted that deck. I used to shoulder tap Mexicans when I was like 12 or 13, cause they’d always laugh and buy it. OE cuarenta OE, we’d say, handing them like $2. I think OE was like $1.80 back then. We’d skate across the street to the skate park, pass that f’r around in a brown bag. It’s almost hard to remember what that felt like really. I’d love to be able to do it all over again to remember exactly.
@@robertholman6676 that’s the terminology we used then yeah…aka ask Mexican dudes who were older and didn’t speak English to buy us teenagers beer. They’d always do it and think it’s funny. This was years before cops caught on and drinking laws and buying for minors was a thing. But it probably led to MIPs and all the buying for minors sting operations that came by the end of the 90s. Prior, it was pretty minor. California didn’t become a nasty police state until like about 97 or 98ish…maybe earlier or late depending on where in CA you were, but before the mid 90s CA was a pretty free place where cops weren’t busting you for everything. Now, it’s the opposite again, but to the extreme: nothing is a crime and you can steal whatever you want there now.
👌
